Oh lawdy. I'll wait on Ereshk to respond to Barst and then I suppose he'll be the first one to notice Arianna.

This is gonna be so much fun.

OH, uhm, question: How would a bard/dancer work in this RP from a combat standpoint? They look like they would be fun to roleplay as, but since combat is obviously going to be different from the games, they seem like they would be next to useless.

They could inspire people to move faster or hit harder, but translating that into an active, live effect is a bit difficult. They're used for morale, of course, so it's more of a background role. Staying behind the rear-most units, encouraging everyone to fight.

Also, Kristoph is going to face some opposition if he thinks his obsession with destroying Vinsenia's forces is gonna fly. At all.

Exactly, that's what I'm having trouble with. I know that Dancers can use swords (at least in Awakening they could) but they were sooooooo weak. So y'know, they were in the back, yeah. What I'm coming up with is: the Dancer could do whatever on whoever, and said whoever could go godmod for like three posts (or so). Just brainstorming here though.

Yes, how dare he try to avenge his family and homeland from the people who took them from him. I mean, the nerve of that bastard! :p

But seriously, if the good guys wanna kick him out of the group, Kristoph will literally just shrug and be like, "Fine, guess your shitty kingdom wasn't worth fighting for anyway. Have fun dying, assholes! Kthxbai."

Yep, because saying that to the guy who was captured and shown mercy by those same forces totally isn't gonna end with one of them dead. /sarcasm.

Interrupting stomachs are terrifying adversaries when your master is a seasoned practitioner of elder magic. This could very well have been an interrupting zombie stomach, autonomous and detached from any living body, animated through eldritch rituals with dark entities from beyond our comprehension of the universe. It could have been a very serious threat.

As it stands, this interrupting stomach belongs not to an eldritch abomination, but to something even more terrifying; a female.

"Stand in our way and I'll grind you to paste!"
Name: Greyson 'Grey' Onyx

Race: Human

Sex: Male

Class: Axe Lord.

Age: 22

Appearance: Grey stands at a taller height, around six foot three, but is not towering in any sense. He has strong features, which coupled with the missing eye and heavily scarred right side of his face makes a terrifying visage. He got these scars when he was a boy (he was playing outside and he tripped and landed in sharp rocks), and doesn't really like to talk about them. He has a strong build, though he isn't a massive brute like some warriors or berserkers he knows. His one eye is a lovely shade of violet, and his short-dark hair is rarely kept in line. His right arm up to the right cheek is tattooed with geometric line patterns in the traditional Rak'Thurr (citation needed) style.

Equipment: His trusty family axe, Invictus, and his shield, Indomitus. A set of leather and hide armor reinforced with choice metal pieces, and a bitchin' cape.

Personality: Grey is a fairly brash individual. Not content to just sit around when there's work to be done or let things like 'subtlety' or 'tact' get in the way of... well, anything. While he shares the common Rak'thurr prejudice against non-humans, he is a reasonably good-hearted individual, if violent. He'll kill anyone that threatens the peace, basically. While a veritable engine of violence, he does have a level of control over his rage. He won't kill anyone without a good reason or attack people unprovoked, and is even able to tolerate the presence of non-humans without inflicting harm on them. That said, he has trouble thinking things through and will often make decisions he will come to regret later.

Bio: The son of the Baron of House Onyx, Greyson was a very minor noble of the Rak'thurr empire. Early on in his life he had managed to distinguish himself in his aptitude with the axe, even considering his... er, disability. His life was an easy one, wake up in the morning, train 'til the afternoon, fail to pay attention to any of his lessons, eat dinner, go to bed. He never saw his father much, the man always being called away on business and whatnot. This had the unfortunate side effect of leaving him by himself to cause mischief. To solve that problem a young Fighter by the name of Cassius Brandt was assigned to watch him. Naturally, this made the problem worse. However, Grey at least had someone to talk to now.

A few weeks later, it was decided they might have someone a bit more rational watch over him, a servant girl by the name of Alika. she looked kinda young, but she was smarter than she had any right being. She was now responsible for his various lessons, and the things she taught him seemed at odds with what he'd been taught before. She advocated using strength to protect those that cannot defend themselves, rather than to crush your enemies, that might and compassion could be the same thing. He found these lessons interesting, and actually listened.

He still trained and spent time with Brandt, who was far less trusting of the woman. Whenever Grey tried to tell Brandt, the man usually dismissed it as a load of nonsense. It seemed like he came up with a new conspiracy theory every time they met ("She's a Stugmarrian spy!" "She's a beastfolk sympathizer!" "She's a shapeshifting fish from the moon come to steal your thoughts!"). Grey tended to dismiss it as paranoia and thought nothing of it.

Years later, something terrible had happened. Grey's father had been slain by bandits on the road to the capital, leaving him in charge of the barony. Lost and confused, he had no idea how to run the place. Alika however, was more or less frantic at this point, running around and gathering valuables. He tried to ask the woman to calm down, but he himself was a little unsettled at whatever could have caused her of all people to act this way. Sure enough, it soon became apparent that assassins had infiltrated the keep and seemed to be coming for him. He wanted to stay and fight, but this was one of those times Alika got her way and decided to more or less drag him out with her.

Brandt, who had recently earned his warrior's marks, led the defense. The two passed him on the way out, and Grey more or less begged him to follow. "Are you kiddin'? Somebody's gotta keep these clowns off of ya!" He replied before cleaving another one in two. "Now go! GO!" Grey didn't really have much time to argue, seeing as how the rational side of him knew that lingering meant death. He's spent about a year on the run, never staying too long in civilization. This lifestyle has made him exceptionally ignorant of current events, which might prove problematic. He has now arrived in the town of Charten to gather supplies, get a good night's rest, and maybe get something relatively good to eat. All his maps mark the place as a peaceful town, so he naturally assumes that the visit will go exactly as planned.

Likes: Roast boar, Fightin' an' winnin', purple, Alika, Brandt.
Dislikes: Bullies, pastries, Water, Beastfolk, Pegasi.

Strengths: A powerful combatant, quite adept at the art of intimidation, damn good chef.
Weakness: Short sighted, literally and figuratively. Not exactly graceful. Prone to fits of rage.
"You'd be surprised at what you can keep hidden from those meatheads..."
Name: Alika

Race: Manakete (Ice)

Sex: Female

Class: Trickster

Age: Lord knows. She's touchy about it.

Appearance: Completely average human in her mid-twenties, totally not a dragon person. See, you know it's true because I told you that.
Anyhow, Alika is fairly short, at just over five feet tall. Her most prominent features are her snow white hair, and her ice-blue eyes. She wears her hair long to cover her ears, telling people it's because they were mutilated in a bandit attack when she was young. The truth is, she did it to herself so she might pass as human. As such they really are mostly torn off, and are not a pretty sight. She has soft kind features, but rarely smiles.

Equipment: Your standard Healing glow stick, fancy clothes, and even a pair of knives, as well as an odd glowy rock she doesn't really seem to want to part with. Other for that, she cares little for her personal equipment.

Personality: Calm and wise, Alika is the voice of reason to the more hot-blooded Grey, often tempering his enthusiasm with caution. Though soft-spoken, she can be forceful if need be, often getting Grey to abandon his more suicidal plans in favor of a smarter course of action. She dislikes talking about herself, and seems to suffer from odd bouts of sadness from time to time.

Bio: Born ages ago, Alika is an awfully old Manakete, though true to her race she does not look it. When she reached adolescence, she decided to leave her mountain home and live among humanity. She always found humans interesting. How could a creature with such a short lifespan have anything to live for, save despair of the inevitable. She quickly learned that humanity had its good and bad, that not all humans acted the same.

This lesson was learned quickly, as she was soon captured as a slave by Fellhark bandits. It was a terrible experience, they found her to be an infinite source of manakete scales, which they could probably sell for a cool profit. It was around the time she was due for her second harvesting that she managed to undo the lock on her cage and escape. She was sure to kill the leader of the bandits with an iron knife she found lying around, and vanished into the night.

She knew she couldn't allow something like that to happen again, so in a delirious fit of temporary insanity she used the very same knife to slice her distinctive ears off. Naturaly, such a physically and emotionally traumatic experience caused her to pass out on the road. She was found by a traveling merchant however, who couldn't just leave her to die. As he nursed her back, she learned of the other extreme of humanity, that they had a boundless capacity for kindness as well.

After that, she travelled the world, posing as human. she never got tired of the adventuring life, seeing new places, meeting new people. She never stuck around in one place for too long, always afraid she would grow too attached to someone, and she couldn't have that. She had basically lost touch with her own kind, and she couldn't bear to outlive a close friend. Eventually, she ended up in Rak'thurr, probably the last place someone of her kind should be. She wasn't scared though. She had gotten good at passing for human, and was certain that the common man's hate of her kind was more ignorance and fear then anything. She then got a silly idea in her head that maybe that could be changed?

She got to thinking that the best place to start was leadership. If she could sway the leadership, she wouldn't accidentally incite bloody revolution. She got a job as a servant at a minor noble house, the Onyx family, whereupon she got to work. She was also assigned as the personal servant of the Baron's son. he was about 14 at the time, and she grew fond of him over the years. While he shared the prejudices of his land as well as an angry streak, he seemed to be a genuinely good-hearted person. And when the time came to flee the country, she went with him, always the voice of caution.

Likes: Snow, healing, Grey.
Dislikes: Deserts, Vegetables, Brandt.

Strengths: She's quite the uhh... 'locksmith.' yeah. Gentle and wise, she's a beacon of serenity that allies draw strength and comfort from. She's quite good with the healin' sticks, and is good at the hurt too.
Weakness: She suffers from severe bouts of depression at times for a variety of reasons. She's no tank, she can't really take a hit. She's also not that great at math. Her ruined ears have made hearing somewhat difficult at times, which brings all sorts of disadvantages.

awww. I wanted this to end up a fist-fight, but, hey, I still haven't run out of ideas.
PS. Did you just accuse a 6'6" 280 lbs man of being a spy? A spy, you know, something that requires some form of subtlety/ability to blend? I can't decide if my character should burst out laughing at the absurdity or be insulted.
Also at work so it may be a bit before I can create a response.
