I never intended to make alt history. What happened was that I was trying to find a good age to describe the epoch and thought early modern would be too dull handpicked Age of Exploration. Although due to how specific that period of time is along with me not specifying as much as I should've led to the idea I was making a alt history RP which is why Aaron reacted the way he did. At the time though, I didn't know that which is why after he told me his premise I thought his RP concept had nothing in common with what I was doing beyond the epoch.

As rigid as I may be with sentient races, I'm actually pretty open to all sorts of cultures and society types provided their tech stays below the industrial line.

Assuming an entirely down-to-earth human faction wouldn't be out of place, I'd certainly be interested in this.

As long as your civ isn't using steam punk stuff, anything from the industrial revolution which includes tech more advanced than that. So a civ with technology primitive in comparison to maritime empires is totally fine by me.

Feel free to have any sort of culture, even if it's a cultural group that consists of different tribes.

One thing i'll say is that players can have creative control over some areas and dictate the region's fauna and flora. Although the base environment i'll be dictating as soon as I make a map.
