Harvey stands at 6' 2” and weighs somewhere in the range of 180 pounds. Due to his boxing background he has an especially fit physique. He can more often than not be found wearing a two piece suit and tie.

Personality: Harvey is an obsessive poker player. In fact it is his third greatest love just behind boxing and magic respectively. This obsession has caused him trouble on more than a few occasions in the past which has contributed heavily to his “nomadic” lifestyle.

Outside of the poker room Harvey has a dedicated air about him. This often results in him seeming tunnel visioned or unresponsive as he has trouble focusing on more than one task at a time (unless boxing is concerned).

Biography: Harvey grew up in the southern region of Fiore with his father and mother. Any only child, much of his time was spent in his mother's gym. An avid boxer, Harvey's mother made sure that he grew up knowing how to take as well as dish out a punch. This was all much to the dismay of his father, a nurse. Such was the ebb and flow of most of his childhood. He and his mom would spend their days together at the gym. Then his father would make sure they hadn't hurt themselves too badly that night.

As he grew older, Harvey took an interest in magic and started applying it in his boxing. This interest soon turned obsessive as he obtained more skill. After awhile he decided that he had learned all he could from his mother and her gym. On his 22nd birthday he set off for Mystic Ram and has called it home ever since.

Magic: Nullification Wave

A highly defensive magic which allows Harvey to nullify or destroy any magic it comes in direct contact with. The exceptions to this are magic infused items such as lacrima crystals, artifacts, enchanted/summoned items, and the like. This magic typically manifests itself in a fluid-like form, expandable based on Harvey's desired use for it. The magic's area of effect extends only as far as the area it occupies. Anything outside of that area will remain unaffected.

Null Shot - The primary offensive ability of Harvey's magic. This spell creates a fluid-like ball equal in size to Harvey's hand (or equivalent body part depending on how it's used). Due to its generally small nature, it offers little in the wake of magic nullification. Instead, Harvey tends to use it as a means of extending the range of his punch. The shot can be accurately curved up to a range of 60 feet before the spell starts to go off course and dissipate. Once the route has been determined (generally by Harvey finishing his punching motion) it can not be redirected again. The speed and power of the null shot are both determined by Harvey's arm motion. The stronger or faster the punch, the more powerful the shot.

Null Slicer - As the name suggests, this spell is a more bladed version of the null shot. Upon initiation, the spell will generate a two foot wide blade of magical energy. The length of the blade is then determined by the arch at which Harvey swings his arm, leg, or other initiating limb. The longer the arch, the longer the blade. The blade itself does not have any cutting power, meaning it will not slice through a tree, boulder, or other dense material. Its impact power however is double that of an equivalent null shot. The speed at which the blade travels, like the null shot, is determined based on the speed of Harvey's swing.

Null Sphere - An entirely defensive spell, Harvey generates a sphere around himself cable of stopping incoming magical attacks. Physical blows may still penetrate the shield with ease. At his best, Harvey has been able to generate a sphere large enough to enclose himself and three other people at a given time.

I personally think you should expand that limit. You shouldn't, say, be able to erase the magic out of the Dreamtide or the Eternity Eye, or other powerful artifacts.

Ya, those artifacts are essentially unstoppable (hence being artifacts)...

I'm not the GM or anything, but as a suggestion I would plot out a few actual 'spells' of varying levels to give your magic more of a progression and to establish clear limits on the ability.

Before I can accept the character, I think that you would need a dinenitive list of spells that he can use, as well as weaknesses and limitations for his magic.

I would also like to note that is would be pretty unfair if he could just disable magic with a snap of his fingers in mid-battle, so please level it a little to make it fair.

Sure, I can work on that tonight. I had intended for him to not be able to disable magic imbued items (hence the lacrima weakness) but I can expand on that so it's a bit more clear about what that includes and make a note regarding the artifacts.

Until I can get that written up, chapter 32 of Fairy Tail had a similar magic which is essentially what I'm modeling after. I've just changed it up from a sound based form to a more fluid based form.

Updated the CS with a more specified list of non-affected items, area of effect for the magic itself, and specified spells for use. Let me know if anything still appears fuzzy and I'll be sure to get that ironed out.

I thought I had time to get back into RPing but the more I think about it the less possible that seems. Rather than get involved now and cause problems down the line with my inevitable lack of time I think I'll save everyone the trouble. Sorry for the inconvenience. I enjoyed writing out the character if nothing else.

Just when I find someone else who's at least seen Hajime no Ippo!

I don't think I've seen that one, but my list isn't exactly sparse. I'm sure I've watched other obscure things we can reference together to confuse everybody.
