I still suggest that the teachers' overseeing it all send a shutdown request once they deem a mecha sufficiently 'injured' (depending on its defences). And/or report disabled limbs etc.

Also: all shielding off, because that would stop the paint. :p

Perhaps something more like a simulation? All combat done in a VR that simulates your actual mecha?

My issue with VR is that it's simply not going to be "practical experience" in terms of piloting.

... Also OOC concerns of it not being nearly as fun to RP as the actual mecha fighting.

We will probably need some rules for fighting each other, I often find in player vs player battles people often don't like to lose or for that matter be hit ;)

I would like to see training exercises, like cheaply made AI mechas programed to fight us in either number or through using tactics. Perhaps two of us have to fight a couple AI units and if our shields or mech is damaged the AI shuts off.

I was intending for AI units to become involved, but not for this particular exercise.

I've actually been fairly satisfied with how player vs player battles have gone previously in other RP's I've been in(with a few exceptions), but we'll see.

It needs to be there in some fashion, so as long as it's there it doesn't matter. I'd assume it would look different for different kinds of suits.

Oh, I thought you meant (to begin with) that my suit was invalid and not working.
It was my own fault that I thought you centered it to me, instead of actually meaning that it was general to everyone.

The general idea of the suit which is used for (only) the MF0017 series.
It is also meant to be a combat suit, that's why it looks like a piece of armour, rather than the normal, sleek general look any other suit.
Plus it also includes the B.A.I. system.

It still needs to have a diagnostic system, all suits unless they're not officially made for a pilot work that way.
