Sentinel State, home of the Sentries, ranked by the Huffington Post as the #3 party school in the nation. Accompanying this is one of the largest and divided Greek Life communities, flourishing student organizations, renowned education system, and most of all, a profoundly successful athletic program, all encompassed in the University's sleek, modern, state-of-the-art campus.
Sentinel State has possessed a long-standing winning tradition in college football, only strengthened and re-validated by the coming of Head Coach Xander Carriel in 2003. Under Coach Carriel, the Sentries have been the NCAA Division I-A Champions in 2005, 2007, and last year in 2013. Because of their outstanding success over the past decade, Sentinel Football has profited heavily from its massive fan base and many endorsements.
By the end of the 2013 post-season, ESPN ranked the Sentries the #1 college football team in the nation. School spirit is at an all-time high, and Sentinel Stadium floods with pure white and gold every Friday night. With a reputation like theirs, and the constant stream of incoming talent to back it up, it seems there is little standing between the Sentries and the 2014 title.
Desired Vibe: The idealistic "party-hard" scene like Blue Mountain State, mixed with drama from Friday Night Lights except a bit more mature.
Participants will take on the role of a football player, a cheerleader, or any other student whose daily social life is affected by the Sentinel Football Program. The RP will revolve around the lives of our characters within Sentinel State, and how they cope with the social and academic implications of being on the team and the outcome of the team's games.
During the season, football players are socially worshipped. Football players are not allowed to join Greek Organizations, and rarely participate in much outside of football. The expected GPA for a football player is a 2.2.
Parties are frequent throughout campus year-round. The school has a general attitude of being superficial, but as in all stereotypes, there are many exceptions.
Participants do not need to interact with one another in every post, but it is high encouraged for a more dynamic character development. Anyone may make as many or as few NPCs as they wish, with permission, but are expected to have a focus on their main character. If an NPC is created, interactions may be narrated by other participants in the RP.
Football games will not be RP-ed through. They will be narrated by the GM's post once over, with the mentality of the players leading up the event factor into the game itself. Games will be held every Friday, and will be both home and away. Discussion may take place in the OOC to determine factors that will come into play.
Posts may be as long or short as one wishes, so long as it is sufficient and meaningful towards the character or the plot. As for language and content, it may become as graphic as one may wish, so long as it's not just one whole pornographic display for the sake of defining a sexual situation. Rules will be fairly loose, and the RP is essentially in sandbox mode within the campus.
