Completely unprepared for the carnage to follow, Tomoya's flask slipped from his grasp before it could be replaced. What the hell kind of bump did they just hit?! Was the road mangled or something? He would've taken a look himself, but it quickly became apparent that, bad road or not, something was trying to break his spine through the sheer force of whiplash.

His glasses were threatening to drop after just a few seconds of the bedlam, and the normally composed vampire was now desperately trying to cling to anything he could for dear life, "T-Toshiko-san! Wh-what's going on?!" he stammered, wide-eyed with fear.

Kei's vision of what was going on in the car was obscured by quite a number of things. The sheer violence of Toshiko's driving, and Kei's own fear. Death in a car accident would have been quite an amusing end for a familiar, Kei would have thought, if he wasn't in the middle of this... driver's madness.

His hands grapped around one of the upper side handles of the car, but all he did was rip it off in the turbulence. Dropping face-first onto the car floor, the eerie feeling in his stomach finally acted on the opportunity. His face turned green for a second before hurling up. Whether it was familiar sickness or the chaos of Toshiko's driving, it still did the same thing to the upholstery of the car.

Kei clambered upwards awkwardly, refusing to look anyone else in the eye. He was more embarrassed than angry, and anyone could tell from his blushing face. Kei did try to pull off an angry expression, but the red in his face made a stronger impression in the minds of everyone. He clung onto the the car handle this time, and managed to find a way of handling the madness of Toshiko's driving with angry composure.

"I'm sick," was all he muttered as an curt explanation.

"Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!~"

This was Jun's elegant summation of Toshiko's driving ability and their whole speeding deathtrap situation. With the safety provided by his and Hanako's seat-belts magically increased times nine by his ofuda, the mad rush of Toshiko's glorified metal coffin was little more than an amazingly exhilarating roller coaster to the young boy. In fact, seeing as his life was spent doing nearly nothing but training in onmyoudo and learning about magic and youkai, it was probably the closest Jun had ever come to actually riding an amusement park ride. Because of that, he enjoyed the crazy flying through the air and zooming wildly across the road than any ordinary person would, although again the fact that Toshiko had never yet actually crashed and that his safety was magically increased probably had something to do with it.

"Isn't this awesome?"

Toshiko nodded at the question. "I decided that it would be the best choice. Investigations can begin more quickly, and cases can conclude more quickly, and money can change hands more quickly, if there's more people working towards a solution."

The redhead... heard what occurred in the backseat. She sighed. They were almost there, so... she'd take care of it on their arrival. What was with that, anyway? Surely her driving was just fine...

The van barreled down the street even more quickly, cars and pedestrians giving it a wide range of space. Stoplights were taken as a suggestion, not a command. Any other lights seemed to simply mean 'speed up'.

At last, the van came to a halt. Miraculously, not even one small scrap or the tiniest bit of damage had come to the vehicle.

Toshiko unbuckled her seatbelt and opened the driver seat door of the van, climbing out of the car. Turning back to face the fan, she spoke to her employees, "Everyone out. We're here."

The Daidouji mansion was a large, stately building. It was mostly dark wood, a vast western-style building as opposed to any eastern designs. The windows were thin and tall, and the mansion itself was a huge building. It was quite clear that the Daidouji family was very, very rich.

For the moment, Toshiko had to clean up.

Jun nodded along with Toshiko's statement about multiple investigators working the scene of the crime

"Basic fieldwork is a detective's best friend, and a bunch of sets of eyes work better than just one or tw-."

Jun stopped and stared in amazement at the Daidouji Mansion as they drove up to it and parked. His own family had a sizable home before the disasterous murders that had caused him to come live with Toshiko had occurred, but it had been eastern styled and still a little more modest than the huge western Daidouji mansion rising up in front of him now. Not to mention even when he was living with his family, Jun had mostly been kept in isolation while he trained and studied yokai and onmyoudo.Besides all of that, living with Toshiko for so long had given Jun some perspective on exactly how fancy a place this was compared to his current living situation.

"Oooh! Toshiko-nee! Will we get to go in there to investigate, and and and d'you think they'll have maids? With snacks?" He faintly remembered there being house servants and snacks before the murders and the fire, but a western mansion might even mean Western snacks!
