Greetings all~ =} The name is Digi and I'm rather new here...and I haven't had a good RP in quite some time. So, I figured I would at least start with a few smaller RP's before going into a bigger one. In any case, here is what I am looking for.

Something you should know right out the gate is that I'm a very action-oriented RP partner, primarily via combat. I prefer my roleplays to be action/adventure focused over romance or any other aspect (they will likely still be present of course...just not quite as up front). If there's not really enough action elements to it, I'm likely to get bored and the RP will eventually whittle away. I really don't like having to abandon roleplays, so I would like to make that request right away.

Something else you should know for Fandom roleplays: I almost always prefer to avoid use of canon characters. I would very much like it if we could stick to original characters.

Now without further ado, I figure that I'll start with the Genres first. After all, I'm lenient with my rules, so the topic is perhaps most important. It's the only thing that can't really be worked out if we don't share an interest after all. Better get it out of the way first~ xP

Genres

Cravings
Anthro - Many possibilities reside here, including:

Furry - Naturally, nothing obscene. Just good-natured RP between animal characters.

Dragon - Limited primarily to anthro dragons, but can incorporate other mythical creatures as well. Inclusion of magic is possible

Fantasy Furry - A Mix off Furry and Dragon. More or less anything goes, so long as it's animalistic in nature/appearance. Magic and such is also possible here.

Neopets - One thing I will never shake from my days on Neo is my adoration for the creature designs.

Other ideas - Any other anthro ideas you might have that I might potentially be interested in. feel free to toss them my way~

Digimon - It seems like such a rare genre where I come from...and I have only had one good one in years. I am up for any of the following:

Tamers - This involves a classic Digimon take: Digimon Tamers and their single Digimon partner. They can be in the real world or they can go on an adventure in a Digital World. Preferably uses our own unique plot.

Frontier - This is based on Digimon Frontier, aka Season Four. Human characters are paired up with the Digimon Warrior Spirits and can merge together with them

Savers - Based on Digimon Savers, aka Season Five. Classic human/digimon pairings, but the Digimon police force DATS exists that police Digimon that cause trouble for the real world.

Pokémon - Simply put, I have not ever actually had a good Pokémon RP for ages now. I would like one~ Please note, knowledge (or willingness to attain the knowledge as necessary) of up to Generation VI is a must. I will very likely include Sinnoh, Unova and Kalos Pokémon, moves and abilities.

Classic - A classic human Trainer with a Pokémon team roleplay. This is a hugely general topic, so we can do a lot here. Though we will need a good plot going

Mystery Dungeon - If you played the Mystery Dungeon series, you know what you can expect here. Humans-turned-Pokémon are not necessary. I have an original setting for this if you are interested.

Conquest - If you played Pokémon Conquest, then you know what this will be about. It would preferably take plays generations after the events of the game.

PokéPark - I always loved what these games tried to do. Perhaps we could provide the more fluid battle system and the story that these games really needed~

Type: Wild - Ever play the fan-made fighting game Type Wild? Pretty much an original story behind that game

Dimension Number Two - A plot originally created by a friend of mine. Humans are abducted from their home dimension into a new, Pokémon-only one where they are transformed into Pokémon by a seemingly all-powerful, all-knowing being that rules over this second dimension known solely as "The Creator" (although they are offered the chance to come willingly). What happens to these humans after they become residents is completely up to them - adapt to the new lifestyle, try to seek an escape, etc. Neither of our main characters will necessarily need to play a human if you do not want to, but it is preferred that one be involved for plot progression.

Super Smash Brothers - After so much SSB4 hype, I can no longer contain myself. October is simply too long of a wait. Any Nintendo character is welcome; you're not restricted solely to characters that appear in the Smash games if you would like a new character. Although I would prefer to avoid getting involved with franchises that aren't really commonly associated with Nintendo these days (I'm looking right at you, Metal Gear).

Fandoms
Video Games:
Fire Emblem - Either using an original storyline with original characters or one loosely based on Awakening in the same land, but generations down the line.
Zelda - Willing to do anything based on A Link Between Worlds, Skyward Sword, Ocarina of Time or Twilight Princess...perhaps we could even do our own Hyrule Warriors story.
Marioverse - Anything taking place in Mario's universe. I have never done one myself and I always loved the creative, colorful cast of character species to pick from.
Metroid - For this one, if you would like to play Samus...I won't get in your way. I would prefer a new story, whether Samus is included or not, on a new planet/abandoned thing

Anime/Manga:
Yu-Gi-Oh! - Card Games will be necessary. That's what Yugioh is these days, so I would prefer if we stick to that. If need-be, we can use duel simulators such as Devpro or Dueling Network rather than dueling in the RP itself. Classic up through Zexal is supported. I don't know enough about Arc-V or Pendulums to play them yet, though.
Naruto - Something taking place after the Akatsuki/Madara arc of Shippuden would be preferred...preferably generations later in an era of peace. Chunin Exams would be a fantastic setting. Spoilers can be avoided easily enough.
Yu Yu Hakusho - More or less speaks for itself. Haven't done one before, though, so you'll have to bear with me.
Dragon Drive - With a new plot, the idea behind Dragon Drive can get a lot more entertaining.
Dragonball Z - I would prefer Android-Cell Saga level characters...but perhaps we could start with Freeza/Saiyan Saga levels of abilities first. xD Never done this before either~
Bakugan - I've only seen/played games up to Mechtanium Surge and Defenders of the Core respectively. Any of those seasons are open game for me~

Others:
The Age of Fire - The Dragon Champion series. Something that takes place in this universe could be quite fun.
Inheritance Cycle - Eragon was always one of my favorite fantasy novel series. Something in this universe could be a lot of fun as well
Lion King - An original story that might not even have anything to actually do with Pride Rock
Godzilla - I had this crazy idea once where the movie monsters lived on a large island and could communicate quite normally with one another...even divided into their usual factions: Alien, Mutant, Global Defense Force (human race faction) and Earth Defenders (Godzilla, Anguirus, etc). I've always been curious what this would be like when put forth into motion.

Others
Dragons - Just...a general Dragon RP. I typically prefer to do an Elemental Dragon variety, but standard dragons are fine as well. Can have other races in it as necessary. Riders are also possible.
Medieval Fantasy - A general fantasy RP with an original plotline that we would have to come up with together.
Arena-style - following some kind of plotline, original characters are forced into fighting in an arena against one another for plot-based reasons.
Suggestions - I know for a fact that I am missing some topics that simply haven't come to mind. If you want to try something that's not on this list, feel free to ask below. The worst I can do is say "no"~ xD However, I will NOT do the following under any circumstances at the moment:

Gifted

Realistic (Teen, High School, etc)

Historical

Harry Potter (I love it, I just don't find it a fun RP genre)

Lord of the Rings/Hobbit (I just don't know enough about it)

Twilight or any form of Vampire and/or Werewolf

And now that that is out of the way, here are my rules and just what kind of partner I am searching for...and info about myself:

I don't care about your literacy level...as long as you can give me something I can reply to, make a worthy attempt at proper spelling and punctuation, and it is actually legible and makes sense. I suppose one might call this Semi-Lit+, but I don't really like using such vague terms.

I am male and I prefer to use male characters...but I can be convinced to use female characters if I must. I care not for what kinds of characters you would prefer to use.

I would greatly prefer somebody patient. I have a lot going on in my life and other RP's to tend to. I would like somebody patient enough to go at least a couple of days without a reply now and again.

Romance is not to be forced upon our characters. That's not to say there can't be a romance...but a forced, unnecessary romance can simply ruin a roleplay in my opinion. If the characters naturally grow close, then that is perfectly fine.

While on the subject of romance, I would prefer hetero relationships...but I have no problems with MxM. But I do get rather uncomfortable when it comes to FxF so you won't be getting that. Sorry.

As stated before, I would REALLY prefer sticking with original characters for fandoms. Please have as little connection to canon characters as possible for the most part.

I am far more lenient on my rules for my cravings than I am for anything else. The others I'm still flexible on, though.

I have no real limits in terms of violence. I like a mature level of violence myself...even on something like Pokémon and Digimon. Romance, however, I would definitely like to keep under control. xD

I also have a theory about why so many have trouble with HP rp, it's the worn out setting of Hogwarts, been there done that too often. I always thought playing adults in the Wizarding World would be more fun, heck I once tried to start an HP rp that was Band based where the PCs were members of a Wizarding band that traveled the world playing all sorts of gigs.

In the High school area I was actually considering posting a 1X1 about Greek Gods reincarnated as High schoolers. They wouldn't be as God like in power but their primary traits would be present

Indeed...I have rarely seen Furry/Anthro RP's last very long. But that's why I hope to come up with a story or plot of some kind to follow. I find that it helps keep an RP moving. Honestly, I'd even consider doing Furry/Anthro versions of classic RP genres like Medieval Fantasy~

Hm...perhaps so. I've done only a few HP RP's before...one of which was Marauder's Era. So I can't really say for sure. Regardless, I think I've more or less had enough of HP RP for some time. I also simply don't have a motivation for coming up with a decent new character. xP

Well, that's certainly a very unique way of taking the High School genre. I'm not sure I ever would have thought of that, even if I was interested in it. I just never liked the school setting in real life...and I don't really care to have it carry over into my RP world~ xD But yeah, that certainly seems a bit more interesting than a simple school setting, if nothing else.

I like all types of Furry settings and have seen many of them, Heck I've even seen Slice of life in the modern world as a setting.
I've also read 100s of furry fan fic set in all types of settings
I will admit that the Dragon or Wolf furry is an overdone type

Medieval setting are fun because they are closer to a natural wild setting

Hey, I'm really interested in doing something with Pokemon, either with Classic or Mystery Dungeon. More interested in doing something with Mystery Dungeon, though I'm not really a big fan of human-turned-Pokemon protagonists. What's the setting you have in mind like?

I know that feeling about Pokemon RPs. Really hard to find one that lasts longer than a week. It's kind of sad, especially since there's a lot you could do with the setting. Mostly it's because everyone stops being interested in managing their teams of 6 fully-evolved Pokemon and just leave without notice.

You have such a great list! I have a few things there that interest me!

First up is Fantasy Furry. I've never actually done a Furry RP before, but I have two relatively new characters that I would like to use - one is a harpy type girl, and one is a sort of bunny hybrid girl. They're both fighters (the Harpy is a commander and the bunny is part of her platoon), so I guess they could be incorperated into some sort of war-esque plot. I haven't got any real ideas though!

I'm also interested in the Digimon Tamers and Pokemon Classic or Mystery Dungeon too, and for those I guess we can work up a plot together!

Pokemon mystery dungeons eh? I'm interested.

I'm in such a fucking digimon obsession right now. I can do either Tamers or Savers. Also, I can rp as a female; it's no trouble at all.

I'm also interested in the Yu-Yu Hakusho idea. I love me some YYH. <3 Again, female character is no problem for me even though I'm a guy. :3

@Rumiko - Oh really? I haven't gotten into it that much, really. It's a very recent craving for me...and I don't really feel like searching through a lot of bad fanfics to find the good ones. xD

Yes, medieval settings are typically my favorite. They're closer to wild, you can do a lot more with it, and I personally like the weapons and clothing of the time a lot better. xP

@MoC - Yeah, I certainly don't want to force the human-turned-Pokémon aspect. If nothing else, we could simply have a plot that doesn't rely on humans at all and I think it could work just the same~ =} The setting I have in mind is like Treasure Town in the Exploration games...only more advanced and bigger. Ever since an inventor named Dr. Porygon moved in, they've seen a few technological improvements...especially in the Adventure Guild. The city is called Tyric Town, the capital of a continent called Tirania, and it's separated into three districts: Housing, Central District (where the Guild, police station, town square and town park are located) and Commercial.

The town is run the stern Mayor Gardevoir with her three advisors: Lady Serperior helps maintain the financial security of Tyric Town and is the owner of the Web Bank in the commercial district (which is managed by an Ariados). Lord Samurott is one of the most skilled fighters in the entire city; nobody is sure whether he or the Guildmaster are truly the strongest in Tyric, but the two respect each other so much that they have not battled lest they potentially publically embarrass the other. Emboar is the Police Chief of Bisharp's Police Station and is in charge of Tyric's security. I could go on about its facilities if you're interested, but that list can get quite long. xD

And yeah, that would be a good reason for Pokémon RPs to lose their luster. Perhaps if I start one, it could be with weaker characters and a limited team of some kind. Although something I've started doing is including a twist where the Pokémon can communicate just like a human does...and that can make things more interesting. xD

@Blaziken - Thanks~ I spent quite a while going through my list of games, bookmarked anime and such to figure out just what I would like to RP with to make it. xP

Heheh...judging by your name, I'm tempted to say that perhaps we should stick with Pokémon xD But at the same time, I haven't done a good Furry RP before, and I have a PMD taker already and a Digimon one as well...and your characters sound rather interesting, so we might stick with that, if you're cool with that~

@Tundra - Oh, awesome~ xD I would really be interested in Savers, as I've got a Tamers RP going elsewhere atm (the single good one I mentioned earlier~ xP) if that's still okay with you~ You won't have to RP as a female if you don't want to. I don't mind having two male characters. xD And actually, we might end up needing a third or fourth character to use as partners to create a full tamer squad. Yu Yu Hakusho is also interesting, but since I haven't actually watched the show in a year or so and I haven't actually done an RP on it before as well, perhaps it would be best to stick with familiar ground for now.

I know you don't want to stick close with the canon characters so we can revamp it with new OCs instead. Or would that be too many characters to play as?
