Not too future-y, but there are room for fancy gadgets

Using fuselage and a trigger system you could have an inferno sword.

I think I'll made a tinker character ^ ^

Yeah. I just didn't like her much. I wasn't feeling it.

It happens, very interested to see who comes up next.

Whoa, there's been a lot of posts since I've been working on my CS |D It's up in my previous post, just what I've come up with in a short while. I'll probably wake up tomorrow and add/remove/change a bunch of stuff, haha. If there's anything that needs to be adjusted, absolutely let me know, it's been a long, long while since I've planned for anything this intricate! I'm worried about potential overlaps but I checked repeatedly to try not to step on anyone else's toes, if you have any concerns I'd be happy to make changes. To clarify, I don't intend for my character to have any kind of medical knowledge in terms of being able to treat wounds or make salves or anything like that. Although I do think I should come up with another practical skill or two so she's not completely useless, heh.

If she has ever traveled outside the walls it is recommended to add basic first aid (like, everybody knows how to prevent infection and that's basic first aid right there. Bandaids count too. ) I like her so far, you picked a very unique field. You character and Levi's should get along nicely when is comes to herbal applications of healing. I bet she knows a smidgen about plants too haha.

@Everyone: So far I like how easily ya'll have adapted to the negative trait. Strong characters with a good, story driving, off-balance. Because after all, the characters are still human. (GM Pleased level +1).

Phew, that's a relief, I was paranoid that my CS might have been totally off-base or something because everyone's made some really good ones... ^^; The first aid thing makes sense, I'll edit that in now.

Assuming that character sheets are still being accepted, I should have my character up by the end of the day. I plan on creating a doctor with a plethora of flaws. Please excuse my slowness in posting Aeonumbra.

Aeonumbra said We were all casualites once.

I, for one, still rp in casual & do consider myself a casual writer.

-shrugs-

Found myself extremely surprised when you asked me to join Ae. ^^

Aeonumbra said You character and Levi's should get along nicely when is comes to herbal applications of healing. I bet she knows a smidgen about plants too haha.

Aye, she does. ^^

Aeonumbra said Apparently the ladies like apocalypse more than the dudes (weird).

Heh, we’re kind of floating in a sea of estrogen here. ^^

No worries, though I do wonder if we’ll all get our rag at the same time later down the line. XD

I apologize…my sense of humor is morbid & disgusting. :<

Anima said I plan on creating a doctor with a plethora of flaws.

I will most likely change Vera’s occupation & I don’t mind in the least doing so.

Two medical professionals would be excessive in my opinion.

Vera actually doesn't seem the type to be a medic. ^^

Leviathan, I didn't even realize there was another doctor character. I can most certainly change mine if you'd rather stay with that?

No no, it's fine. ^^

I do think Vera would be better off as something else.

it doesn't suit her.

My new character should hopefully be up tonight some time, I can't work on it today because of work. He's some kind of soldier, not chosen what specifically just yet, but we could do with another protector, so.

Indeed, soldier is thankfully one of those occupations worth doubling up on. And since we're apparently floating in a sea of estrogen, our Testosterone Raft must be built strong

I do too, high five? ^^ There's not much of a difference between Casual and Advanced for me, except that in my experience, I've seen Advanced RPers write a loooooot in each post to the point of convolution, so I've stuck to Casual since I prefer more concise writing styles (and admittedly, a larger pool of players). No offense meant to Advanced writers, that was just my observation from the last time I did one.

Also, I can't decide which is funnier between the "sea of estrogen" and the "rag" comment, haha.

I do RP in casual, though I admittedly prefer advanced roleplays when, as you said, the posts aren't sprawling and needlessly detailed

I like casual players, because I like to give everyone a chance for improvement. Not that casual writers are bad in their own regards, but I feel advanced writes are able to touch more bases in a single post. For my it's about character depth, and development, being able to see through the characters eyes. To feel their emotions, reactions, feelings, generally builds a strong attachment to a character.

In casual for me it feels like everything is just the bare bone, enough to keep things moving. But where's the depth? I know people who could easily write in advanced but stick with casual. For their own reasons. Also, it's not just about post length. While I love having something to read, I also understand that perhaps a boss fight scene isn't going to have eight paragraphs. Two-three meaty ones are sufficient.

Then on the other hand I've seen advanced writers who detail the forest, and that bug, and the rock the bug is on, and the feel of the earth beneath the rock, and how damp it is, and why its good for growing plants, and what kind of plants, and what kind of bugs.. and fml. I don't have the attention span for writing a novel, so roleplay is my outlet.

On the final hand (I have many) I like to play in advanced because a lot of casual writers get intimidated easily, and then "ghost" out or feel as if they can't keep up. (Ghost out = disappear with no word, drop out silently). I make mistakes like everybody else, and being the GM (which I prefer) I tend to write a lot more at some points because I have to govern the world around you.

--IMPORTANT--

In this particular roleplay, not everybody HAS to be in the same place at the same time. There will be opportunities to do special events, which may affect things within the roleplay, or not. (special items worth a lot of trade value, fame, upgraded living, equipment, etc.) But that's not to say accepting every event will get you something out of it, maybe the one who stays behind gets something different? I will however, promise to do my best to keep everybody engaged no matter where they are.

The biggest problem most people have, and I am quilty, is leaving a post off in a hard spot to articulate a decent reply to. That's why Collabs are wonderful, and I encourage them.

@Levi:: I have a one x one with you, and I just want to let you know you could easily join any advanced roleplay you want. You shouldn't even feel intimidated at all, you write very well, and it's quite engaging, i look forward to our reads.

P.S :: I apologize for the delay on that, as you are aware my lady is down and I tend to devote more time to spending with her. Replies takes me around an hour or two, so I will find time to reply when I can. If not I guarantee I can get one up thursday. The first chance I have I'd like to get deadland started (perhaps that will hold you over?).

Then again, I have Sun-fri off next week, so I'll probably find time to get Deadland up. Right now I'm waiting on character sheets. Then we'll vote on starting location. So there is no need to rush. I will maintain a presence here for your questions and concerns. Once we're ready to go I'm sure my lady will understand :) She's cool like that. (I'll make her play minecraft or something hehe).

Remember! I love creativity, ideas, and questions. Never-ever be afraid to ask me a question, no matter how trivial.

Very good points, all of them, and you actually answered a few questions I had (prioritizing depth, ideal post length, character locations). I do hate "ghosting out", I was in three 1x1 RPs and all three stopped replying on the same day. :/ Which is just as well, it takes me a couple hours to write a post so it's nice that this is the only RP I'm waiting on at the moment.

You said that you would give everyone a week to post, right? Does that mean we'll be posting once a week, or if everyone makes a post within a week, can we post again? Just curious, I don't want to give off the impression that I'm a speed-poster (can't stand that).
