Reserving a hero spot until I have more time for a CS.

Name: Catherine Silver-Tree
Concept: Evil brat and wicked witch
Role: Villain
Age: 14
Sex and Orientation: Female-- she hasn't decided who or what she likes just yet.
Appearance: Skin white as snow, lips red as blood, and hair black as night. She rarely if ever has a hair out of place, her head adorned with long, straight tresses, her forehead safely ensconced by immaculately even bangs. She usually wears a simple flowing purple gown with black sleeves, and stands with an uncharacteristic slouch. Also, she's short.
Personality: Petty, lazy, abusive, and spiteful right off the bat, she is fond of grandiose gestures and broad, sweeping motions. Not so much of subtlety. She's impatient and bossy as well, used to being waited on hand and foot by servants. What little respect she does have seems to be reserved for the creature that resides in her mirror, though maybe it can be won or shared? She has something nearing reverence for it.
Background: Her real mom died in childbirth. The king quickly remarried, then died himself to suspicious but as of yet unexplained circumstances. She was raised carefully by her new stepmom, who happened to be an evil witch of some renown in disguise. The stepmom encouraged her in being evil and rebuffed her when she was kind, and soon she knew. She knew the peasants were scheming and always up to no good, and that people were wicked and couldn't be trusted. That she was nobility, and therefore better than the rabble! She was tutored in sorcery and witchcraft, and when mother was busy, she spoke to the giant mirror in the secret room for advice. It never told a lie, stepmom told her, so she could trust it. Then, one night, stepmom kissed her on the forehead as she was going to sleep. In the morning, stepmom and mirror were gone. A few months later, a package arrived for her in the mail containing her piece. Her piece of the worldheart, as well as a new magic mirror, small and portable. The bubbling clay face on the other side of the glass told her it was the same creature from the original, a fragment, even though it seemed different somehow. It told her stepmother was dead, and that she had work to do, so she cried herself sore, left her affairs in the hands of her Totally Trustworthy Royal Vizier, and took off to meet her new associates.
Skills: Magic! Curses, hexes, poisons, a shapeshifting spell here and there. She has a knack for potions, and next-to-no knowledge of anything blasty.
Equipment: Some nice clothes. An alchemical stockpile with weird stuff in it like dragon tears and screams. Beakers, vials, a couple apples.
Parent: The evil queen, Anais Grimhilde. A vain, vicious creature who taught her stepdaughter well, then vanished, supposedly dead. She was a powerful witch, but her power came from cunning rather than overt shows of force, which she has tried to impress on the young lady with varying degrees of success. She's taken it to heart with her magic, but personalitywise, the queen did too good a job teaching her to hate the people she was supposed to hate.
Inheritance: A magic mirror. It talks and occasionally gives her advice, acting as a sort of force-multiplier by supplementing her with knowledge both mundane and magical.
Notes: Also willing to make a second herocharacter, -if necessary.- The mirror may or may not be entirely honest or even something else entirely, depending on how the plot goes. I'd like to leave that open-ended, if you don't mind.

@HylianRose: Thanks for liking Soren. I looked over your CS and I must say "Jonnie" is a neat character.
I would love to see Soren an Jonnie meet just to have a Cyro and a Pyro interact.

Name: Jules Bright

Concept: Spoiled expatriate prince

Role: Hero

Age: 16

Sex and Orientation: Male, Bisexual

Appearance: A mess of red hair, big black eyes with long lashes, fancy-looking yet poorly maintained clothing often with an inconveniently heavy crimson cape trailing his movements. His clothes are usually following the usual princey burgundy/red/gold palette, with a sword hanging by his side.

Personality: Happy-go-lucky and very reckless, sometimes a playful archetype of the “It is I!” personality, he’s the kind of person that would commit felonies just for a laugh between friends. He did, actually, but you can’t ask him about that. Coming from his upbringing, he has little compassion for the common folk, regarding them as inferior, though he outwardly treats everyone with an equally dismissive enthusiasm. Before he even knows your name he’ll act as if he’s known you for ages. Others can sometimes describe him as generous, but he’s just got a lot of money to spare. It’s understandable, but not very good long-term planning on the exile’s behalf. He’s a good storyteller, unless you have the mental age of a rational and cynical adult. Then he’s just sort of stupid.

+: Optimistic, Brave, Cheerful, Adaptive, Friendly, Lucky
-: Reckless, Whiny, Ambiguous, Indulgent, Mischievous, Narcissistic .

Background: Jules was born the first son to the King of a prominent enough kingdom far, far North of where he is now. In his youth he was a troublemaking child, although as hated as he was by nannies and serfs everyone knew who they were dealing with. His father was one of those nepotistic kings with enough power to be biased in the favor of a nine year old, so nobody was in the right place to complain. In his youth he threw rocks at messengers from the balcony. As he grew up he lifted ladies’ skirts and released dogs at merchants. A real head-ache for his parents, yet they were either too busy or too nepotistic to punish the young noble for his deeds.

Only when it was a last resort, only when he’d actively attacked the neighboring kingdom’s visiting minister, did he first suffer from the consequences of his actions. Banishment, with pension money sent bimonthly – objectively it was to be a leisurely sentence, but he protested fiercely until he had to be forcibly deported. Within the last months he was sulky, but it wasn’t in his nature to not ultimately be engulfed in adventure and heroism. That’s what a prince was supposed to do, exiled or not, and plus it proved to be fun! Prince Jules kept the title (clearly, as he flaunts it) and went off hunting for experience, bragging about his achievements, demanding recognition. Hilarious, as the only thing keeping him alive is the money sent to him occasionally, but he never mentions where it comes from anymore, feigning independence, swinging his sword, claiming he was self-made and then charging at monsters that could eat him alive if he were not trained beforehand.

Skills: He can’t do any magic, at all. He is speedy and in good shape, with enough power in his ligaments to land a blow effectively. His eyes are very keen, yet he’s abandoned archery. Apparently it’s just not cool enough for him – he likes charging, literally, at the enemy. His stamina is weak despite his good evasiveness. He can avoid pain, but once it hits him it hits hard, as his skin is not used to anything harsh.

Equipment: A bow and a couple of arrows that he rarely uses, and a medium lenght intricately made sword that he uses for absolutely every thing (peeling fruit, opening letters...). Has no armor, simply because he doesn’t like being uncomfortable, but his boots and gloves are made of very tough, expensive leather.

Parent: King Geoffroi o f Brightskye, Queen Beatrice of Brightskye, both unimpressive but pretty generic royals.

Inheritance: Lots and lots of money, delivered regularly and secretively. He is fairly certain the horseman that delivers it follows him around sometimes, being sort of a bodyguard figure, and he is quite certain that sometimes this individual interferes with his battles, but he likes winning anyways. As long as nobody knows.

I want to reserve a hero spot too if that is alright? Should be able to get a character sheet up in no time ^.^

Me, him, and two other users are working together in a PM to make hero applications.

We'd like to reserve four spots altogether for the Heroes, and we'll try to finish our applications quickly.

Whooboy, finally gonna start getting around to looking at people's sheets now. And... Am I right in saying we might be having as many as 20 people (including myself) in this RP? I was definitely NOT expecting this.

Mother of god, I hope this isn't too much. Assuming people don't post I'll just edit this post as I go, otherwise I'll post them as I go. I'll probably only do a few sheets tonight.

Also, Stitches and Co, you're good... Though could a few of you be Villains? They're already on the lower side of the spectrum numbers-wise.

Edits:
@HylianRose: Hah! I like Jonnie. And I dunno if it's just me,
but I could kinda see her questioning her loyalties at one point, and maybe even going so far as to switch sides!
@khavali: Shasi seems pretty awesome too. Looking forward to RPing with him! (Even if he sounds like he can be a bit of pain...)

I feel like at some point I should just stop accepting people, but go ahead and make a guy!

Speaking of which, I still need to finish my character. I was going to be a hero, but there's quite a few of those already. Suppose I can do a villain.

Name: Zar Vinculum.

Concept: Optimistic Hopelessly Romantic Kyton.

Role: Dungeon Keeper.

Age: 16.

Sex and Orientation: Male, straight, makes passes at most females but doesn't expect much of a response.

Appearance: Zar is well above average height when compared to a human, his devilish origins playing a part in that, as well as in his unexpected strength. His skin is a pale beige, being nearly white yet still having a hint of crimson. His hair is moderately short, neatly brushed to the side in a gentlemanly wave. Zar's eyes are a deep shade of red, with tiny, nearly microscopic black pupils just visible at close range. His teeth are normal except for the upper front, these being small, serrated fangs. He is always donning his black, lacquered leather armor, wrapped in chains and with many of these always snaking out, functioning as arms, spider-like legs, and weapons if the need arises.

Personality: Zar's personality is very complicated. On one hand, he wishes to stay true to his infernal origins, attempting to be cruel and manipulative, though often failing and attempting to take his actions back with flattery and apologies. However, when faced with a hero or good-aligned adventurer of some sort, he mocks them at every given opportunity, unless of course they are an attractive female of nearly any species. Zar attempts to be pleasant around all females and other villains, having been taught a certain amount of etiquette by his noble father, while being comedic and playful around people he knows and trusts. Around religious items or holy people, he is expectantly cautious, carefully avoiding them or seeking to safely destroy them.

Background: Zar was born to a kyton (Chain Devil) baron named Rasmus. Rasmus educated his son in the use of shadow magic, basic necromancy, and multiple forms of close combat, despite these apparently being redundant, for as a kyton, Zar would soon be able to conjure dangerous chains from thin air. However, he soon learned the truth: His mother was a half-elf priestess of Rasmus's personal council, and Zar retained none of his ilk's abilities with chains and implements designed to cause pain. Feeling terrible for hiding this from his son, Rasmus had a special suit of armor crafted for his 15th birthday, being made of sturdy minotaur leather, and, curiously, wrapped in hell-forged iron chains. Zar found, to his delight, he could control these at will, even being able to make new ones that simply snake out of the sleeves/collar/back of the armor. Zar, with his new gift, set out to bring glory to his family name soon afterwards, searching for a quest fitting of him.

Skills: Zar is, due to being a kyton, much stronger than he looks, as well as rather acrobatic when the need arises. However, he scarcely exerts himself, as the chains protruding from his armor take care of everything. Instead of walking, he often sends multiple larger chains to the floor, lifting him off the ground and clambering about like an infernal, iron-legged spider. He uses dexterous small chains as hands, and when combat unfolds, cruel bladed chains unfurl from his back. These are of all shapes and sizes, from enormous, hammer-headed chains to small ones covered in thorn-like iron barbs.

Equipment: His suit of black lacquered minotaur leather, wrapped in iron chains forged in his father's keep. Zar nearly never takes this off, and it is his most prized possession. In the small, hidden pockets of the suit he keeps multiple simple shadow magic and necromancy scrolls, allowing for a quick spell here and there. Zar carries nothing else, having no need for as much food or water as a human and not caring for much else either.

Parent: Rasmus Vinculum

Inheritance: Suit of hell-forged minotaur leather armor, enchanted with powerful kyton magic to grant the user control of the magic iron chains curled around it, assuming they are of infernal blood.

Notes: None.

I'm sorry, Clock, but it would be nigh impossible for us to make -some- of the family members into villains now. We've sorted out a very specific background for them, and the way they were brought up would make it very, very difficult to have some of the siblings go to the dark side due to the lack of outside communication, and the two parents were both very noble and heroic people.

I was planning to make them into villains first, but at the time there were more villains than heroes. I'm certain more people can join and even things out, though! \o/

Eight villains of which one is a reserve and nine heroes of which four are reserves and one WIP, if I didn't miss anything. Pretty balanced, at one point it looked like about everyone was a villain.

^-^

Spank you! I really like her and can't wait to begin RPer her. I didn't want a straight forward Hero or Villain. So, she's kind of both. Either way, I would have either done a corrupt Hero or a super rebellious Villain. She's meant to just kind of do whatever she wants. True Neutral, I guess? Probably won't end up that way.
