Also, something ya'll should note ^^;; She doesn't LOOK metal. She just looks like a human that's devoid of color (aside from her chest and back where the skin is thin, those surfaces are reflective, not to mention her red hair pin). She just manipulates her blood which happens to be metal.
Marilyn and other Taalunians can 'reflect' and understand things mentally quicker than humans would This is not only something contrived of the mind but of the body as well. Certain traits she picks up on for humans or other aliens her body could adapt to. This isn't saying that they could pick up super strength or other super hero stuff, but different body types. She knows little of the human body for now but as she grows to understand it more, for example, her body would adapt to it.
This is possible due to the metal control, working to shape the body to the hosts subconscious knowledge over time.
