Personality: As with most Inqusitors, to others, she is cold, calculating and completely without mercy, it is her duty as an Inquisitor in order men to their deaths, so she tends to try and not form attachments, so that she doesn't feel bad when she gives them the order to die so that she may live. She is open only to her bodyguard, who she knows will only thank her for giving such an order.

History: Much like many Inquisitors, she was born on Terra. She was born with a solid gold spoon in her mouth, the daughter of a noble family. She never knew sadness, just happiness under the protection of the Emperor... Until the Astra Telepathica picked up her strong Psyker potential, after that, she knew only death, destruction and holy fire in the name of the Emperor. Yoheved, being from a noble house was trained as an Inquisitor, a Witch-Hunter.

Her first missions were simply to sniff out small chaos cults in the Mordian sector... She earned her name as an Inquisitor when she was swept up in the 13th Black Crusade when her ship stopped at one of the Blackstone Fortress' to resupply. She went one on one with a Slaaneshi Sorcerer and killed him, taking his sword to present to her superior, Lord Inquisitor Viqtor Remly, who studied Daemonic and Xeno weapons. Remly allowed her to keep it as it was a powerful weapon, as well as gifting her a Xeno weapon of great power, a Blast Pistol from a Dark Eldar that he had recently interrogated. It was a controversial decision for her, but he reminded her that, although heretical, weapons of Daemon origin were incredibly strong, and turning the ruinous powers against themselves would go along way to achieving the Emperors ultimate goal for Humanity. She had been investigating reports of a Tzeenchian cult on Kalvarstad when the cataclysm struck, now, as a member of the Ordo Hereticus, she's taking charge of the situation.

Personality: Honour, Duty, Hatred of Chaos, Xenos and Mutants. These are the things that he preached during his tenure as the chief warmaster of the Emperor's Flock. He believed that all great warriors were born into suffering, which is why the Beastmen existed. To be villified by their allies, to force them to become powerful enough to survive or die for being too weak, that they would be rewarded for their service when they reached their full potential. Working for an Inquisitor, a being that speaks as the Emperors voice, it is an honour which knows no bounds. Whenever he fails in his duty to protect her, whenever she is forced to draw her accursed blade to defend herself because he was unable to, he tries to fall on his own axe... But she doesn't allow him to do so. Truly, the Emperor has blessed him for his acceptance of human hatred.

History: Large... Very large... He is the former head of a Warband of Emperor worshipping Beastmen that swept across the Cypra Mundi sector, primarily hunting Chaos cults. The Warband caught the eye of Inquisitor Yoheved when they saved her from a khornate cult that had separated her from her men and was hunting her across a ruined hive block. The Taurtacus and his men swept in like a herd of stampeding cattle through a field, the ferocity that Khorne gave his worshippers was nothing compared to the holy fervor that the Emperor inspired in the Abhumans. The battle came to ahead when, in order to secure the death of the inquisitor, the leader of the cult offered his life to Khorne in return for demonic power, transforming him into a Great Daemon. The Daemon clashed with Taurtacus before the Beastman emerged victorious, he threw its severed head at her feet and asked for her to bless his work for the Emperor. Not only did she bless the misshapen monster for his work, but Yoheved hired them to work for her. Being her secret strikeforce and employing Taurtacus as her bodyguard. Their ship employed a Stealth Field Generator that they had raided from a Tau vessel. Allowing them to shadow her vessel undetected, but always ready to strike.

Taurtacus underwent multiple surgery's to make him the finest servant he could be. Even so far as to have the Bone'Ead Implants usually reserved for Ogryns to help him think faster and react quicker in combat. She even had the Techpriests of Mars create a brand new weapon fitting for the servant of an Inquisitor, an Axe with the power of a Thunder Hammer. He has saved her life and protected her on more occasions than either of them can remember. That's not to say things have never overcome him, he is rather slow in combat, so fast enemies such as Eldar and Daemonettes have quickly passed him to get to the Inquisitor, but he is still the main reason that she is still alive.

Personality: Like all psykers, Igam has trouble connecting with the common man. He has an extreme deference to authority, but otherwise, will try to distance himself from others. He has trouble speaking openly around others. Crowds of people, especially non-military, can cause him to panic slightly. When he speaks, he tries to make it as brief as possible, hoping to minimize any social contact by using one or two word answers. While understandably withdrawn, he has a hobby of playing regicide with any who can stand his company for long enough to play.

History: Igam was born on a feudal world. He was picked up at 16 when the regular reaping of soldiers for the imperial guard came about, and he was noticed by a sanctioned psyker. He was put under military custody until a Black Ship could come to the planet. He was found a suitable candidate for a sanctioned psyker, and was trained. He served as neonate and aspirant, and quickly distinguished him as both powerful, and stable. Igam served in a psyker battle squad under a primaris psyker in the Imperial Guard until he was 30. He was promoted when the entirety of his squad succumbed to the perils of the warp save him, which garnered him the notice of the Inquisition. He was scooped up, and changed hands several times over the years.

He was specially selected for assignment on the planet of Kalvarstad due to his mental stability. He has spent several months preparing for his next mission, and while he is naturally apprehensive, he accepted his orders without question. He was placed under the authority of an inquisitor already on the way to Kalvarstad.

Personality: Approachable, friendly and likes to banter playfully with his battle-brothers. Has a tendency to laugh and try to crack jokes in the middle of battle. As well has purposefully go out of his way to niggle at any Sterngaurd Veterans who might be in ear-shot.

History: "You will fight in the streets, and in the habs! You will fight for the enemy's death, not your own lives! You will fight and you will drive this filth from the Emperor's city. You will do these things, or you will face my wrath." - Captain Denon, 2nd Company

These words were never more true in the case of Sargeant Pot'Apher of the Salamanders. Many a time has he used those very words, quoted almost verbatim to spur his men onto even more glory. During his time in the Assault Squads or his time in the Devastator Squads. It did not matter.

Taken into the Salamanders at the age many usually are. When a man is young, virile and strong. The best age, so a man has a better chance of surviving the ordeal of becoming a Neophyte and beyond that becoming a true Astartes. It should be no surprise that Pot'Apher went through it all. Survived every step, many of those who were taken on did not make it. Some killed before they could receive their first implants, some after. But Pot'Apher went all the way. Surviving and maturing. Year by year, becoming stronger, faster, deadlier, day by day. He paid his dues as a scout, and showed early that he was much more at home with close range killing then long range sniping or mid-range marksmanship. When he received his Black Carapace he was filtered into the ranks of the Devastator Squads. Where he provided close range support, and in times of duress, close combat interdiction with his pistol and blade. Hundreds of engagements passed, centuries ebbed by. He wielded a Lascannon for about 50 years or so, before he was edged into the Assault Squads. There he came into his own.

His love of close combat, with sword, pistol and the sound of fighting around him made his skills bloom like never before. He rose to the task, fighting beside his brothers. Blazing through the air at the sound of their commanders call. Dropping from on high into the middle of an unaware enemy group. Deep-striking with the help Thunderhawk. It mattered not, he did it with gusto. He fought in the Assault Squads for years. Moving up in rank, attaining the rank of Sergeant, before being given a great honor.

He was offered a place among the greatest. An accolade he never expected and never really sought out. Places had opened, and offers were made. One place, was for a sargeant position, at the head of a new squad of Vanguard Veterans. And that place was offered to Pot'Apher. Such an offer does not come regularly. And what a fool he'd be if he turned it down. He donned the mantle of Vangaurd Veteran. He sailed forth at the head of a squad of Veterans, in fact some of them from his previous Assault Squad. They flew into battle like a comet from heaven.

Appearance:

Karl is, like every other commissar, a product of war, refined by constant drills in Schola Progena. He doesn´t remember much, if anything, about his childhood before becoming progena, his only information coming from scarce words of drill abbots. He came from some desert world that faced an ork waaagh, during which his parents died, but not before they secured their son´s future.
In Schola, he wasn´t really and an extraordinary example of a perfect student. His fighting skills were average at best, but he make it up with his determination, passion and devotion, abbots were even thinking about handling over to the Adeptus Ministorum. In the end, he succeeded in his Commissar training and joined the fresh 3rd Gefian Janissaries as a commissar cadet.

His mentor was a zealous and merciless man, infamous for a tendency to whip soldiers for any sign of weakness and shooting regularly to "motivate" them. Unfortunately for Gefian Janissaries, Karl soon adopted his mentor´s practices and became as hated as he was.
After a year of service, they were sent to a besieged hive city of Bogstad and hold it until the arrival of reinforcements. They did what was ordered and defended the city against endless armies of cultists, shattering wave after wave, but promised reinforcements weren´t coming.
What should be a few weeks of defensive became months long war of attrition between the hive and numberless hordes fanatics, but to Karl, the worst enemies were his own soldiers. His mentor died in first month of fighting and young cadet, now the only commissar in the entire hive, inherited all of his duties. Janissaries immediately take an advantage of Karl´s lack of experiences and became wild and unreliable. He tried to stop these disciplinary problem by executing the worst troublemakers but it was no solution, because he couldn´t afford to lose so many man when there was an enemy literally at gates. His other attempts to restore morale of soldiers also weren´t really successful, but he was at least able to hold them from breaking and taint.

He almost lost all of his hopes when reinforcements, slowed by unreliable warp tides, finally arrived and started with a liberation of the planet. Karl was awarded for his ability to hold the city for so long, even if he took it as a personal failure. His old regiment was almost wiped out and they merged it with another decimated regiment. To Karl´s relieve he was transferred to different regiment and became a commissar serving with 128th Cadian Shock troopers. He took this assignment with a new enthusiasm and promised himself that he won´t repeat the mistakes he did in Bogstad.
Now he served with Cadians for three decades without breaking his oath.
