I was thinking, since, naturally, Inquisitors never go anywhere just by themselves. I was wondering what kind of throw-away peons to be following her around that she's going to get separated from, which would be better?:

1) Tempestus Scions (The Inquisitors best friend)
2) Mordian Stormtroopers (Since she primarily works in the Mordian sector)
3) Sisters of Battle (Since they are the warriors of her Ordo. Because the Deathwatch are the warriors of the Ordo Xenos, Grey Knights are the warriors of the Ordo Malleus and Sisters are the warriors of the Ordo Hereticus)

I don't think Tempestus scions or sisters of battle can be considered "throw-away peons" by any means. and if she works in Mordia that is probably the most likely. Than again the Inquisiton does keep it's own battalions of Private and more 'run of the mill' stormtroopers for just this purpose.

Also if I wanted to pilot something like a Sentinal.

A- is that allowed?
B- can I modify my sential? Not crazy modifcations. But things like armour plating

My idea is either a Sential pilot, An enginseer or some form of other Ultra-light vehicle pilot employed by the guard. Like a Tauros or something. I was going to do the Valkyrie but Those aren't Cadian soldiers as much as Imperial Navy pilots. So ya.

I meant "throw away" as in, story wise, they have little baring on the plot as they get separated.

well we could use a pilot that can operate varying forms of armour. If you want You can have that skill to pretty much pilot anything from a chimera to a dette. and randomly take one from other troops throughout the RP. Sentinels are cool and all but kind of flimsy at the best of times.

I like the sentinals for versatility. And rocket sentinals are hilarious. That and I am looking for something really light. Away from the more 'tank' looking and build vehicles. I may use them in the rp. But I do like Sentinals.

Or I may NPC two randoms to help me drive a Tauros Venator.

The reason I'm saying you guys are gonna need a pilot is we're gonna need someone who can fly things and drive thigns to transport the characters etc.

Well. I could do the Valkyrie thing. But no Valkyrie can transport even Ogryns much less space marines. Nor can some Imperial tanks.

I could do a space marine with a thunderhawk or something. But I was hoping for a guardsman role.

I was planning for him to climb ontop and mow things down with his Autocannon. Apparently Ogryns are mainly used to using the open topped vehicles like the Taurus, because they all naturally developed Claustrophobia, which is why they also don't ride in Valkyries.

Secondly, Ogryns are larger than Space Marines, and thirdly, Valkyries can carry Space Marines, one of the missions in the game Space Marine, is controlling Titus with a Heavy Bolter being the surrogate gunner on a Valkyrie.

First, The ogryn at that size would not fit inside the Tauros. And would weigh it down to an admittedly comical but ultimaltly useless degree.

Faced with picking up your ogryn I would say no, I would not give you a lift. Because it would not be at all possible in my opinion and in my characters. I can see an agryn riding in an open topped tank chassis. Like a salamander or even some lemen russel variant. But not a light scout and support vehicle like a Tauros. Assuming I even choose the tauros.

Even if the Valkyrie can carry space marines(and one space marine is arguable, maybe even two if there was no one else inside. But multiple on top of fitting other people inside. They will easily take up the space of two or more people, power armour and wargear 'not' included. And like hell they would fit a full battle squad inside.) they cannot carry ogryns.

The Valkyrie is capable of carrying 12 troops, but cannot carry Ogryns. That is from the wiki and it repeats itself in the Lexicanum as well. And if I had enough energy to look up the Codex I am sure it would repeat itself again.

We could use Chimera, it´s pretty common and it can carry up to six ogryns. I think it would be sufficient.

uh huh. Guys guys. Vehicles you get will be pretty much assigned if you are to be assigned one. I just need you to put down what skills you have at piloting. Vendettas will be getting used (and yes they can carry space marines and ogryns) Rhinos and Chimeras will pop up. For the most part you guys will be using pretty heavy vehicles when you are using vehicles. Let's not argue capiche?

Umm... Hammer, If you notice, I did agree with you that Ogryns cannot ride in Valkyries. Canonically, they do ride in the backs of Taurus' and other open topped vehicles such as Gorgons as they can't ride in any closed topped vehicle due to a natural Claustrophobia that they all develop, which is why they never used to be able to ride in Chimera's or Valkyries, which, looking at my 6th edition codex, it looks as though this has been reconnected as they can now take a Chimera as a dedicated transport.

Also, he's not an Ogryn. He's a Minotaur... Not much difference in them, i'll grant you, it's just one has hooves and is a lot uglier.

As for Piloting... Well, Taurtacus doesn't know what the controls of an aircraft look like, much less fit into the cockpit and then fly it. Yoheved, as an Inquisitor is trained in the piloting of several light vehicles that are used for travelling great distances at speed such as Bikes/Jetbikes, Sentinels and Land Speeders. Therefore, if push came to shove, she'd probably have a fair go at piloting something like a Valkyrie, but don't expect a smooth ride... or a for the Valkyrie in question to be used by anyone else afterwards...

The fact he is a minatour is a definant Hell no. My character would most likely drive away shooting him, While calling artillery to blow him away. And I still don't think it should be possible looking at the relative size and weight of the minatour or ogryn, Compared to that of the tauros. But in the end I really don't care about whether they can ride in the Tauros or not, because he is not getting in mine.

The more this is pushed the less likely I am to go along with it. Just so that is cleared up.

As for piloting vendetta's and stuff. Those are navy vessels. Can I make a navy pilot? Instead of a Cadian soldier?

Vendettas are part of the Imperial Guard. They can be piloted by Imperial guard pilots. The only problem with you being NOTHING but a pilot would be the fact you'll miss out on quite a bit and you'll be more likely to die than anyone else.

All aircraft belong to the Imperial navy though. Vendetta's being little more than Valkyrie variants fall under their jurisdiction as well. The guard use them yes but they are more 'on loan' from the navy than actually part of the Guard. But ya I guess the guard would train its own pilots for these things without having to rely on the navy.

But I am willing to make A guardsman pilot and am trying to make a versatile character I just think it might be a little unreasonable to have the skills to pilot, and drive any vehicle in the Imperial Arsenal. usually those people are exclusive to their little skill sets. In my mind at least.
