Here's the faction I'm planning to play as. I already used this on a different NRP, so it might sound familiar.

The Harlaci Imperium, a highly advanced nation that seeks the preservation of their empire from the dying galaxy. The Imperium came to be when the Hannost, a highly advanced race of amphibious humanoids, technologically uplifted the Harlacs and made them the ruling race of the Hannost empire. The homeworld of the Harlacs is called Tyr'grande, a planet almost similar to earth, with the exception of an abundance of mountain ranges and fewer but deeper oceans. Tyr'grande is not only the home of the Harlacs, it is also the home of a rich mineral called "Melpharite" which can only be found in the deepest oceans of the planet. Melpharite posed two significant uses, for a power source and for armor plating.

Under the rule of the Harlacs, the Imperium prospered and became a heavily militarized nation. The Imperium ruled over systems that are found on the edge of the galaxy, making their existence known only by a few. But with the wars that occurred on the galaxy, who knows if other nations still has records of the Imperium's existence. The Imperium chose to isolate themselves from the other civilizations, mainly for the fact that they do not trust others that are not their kin, or of the Hannost. From time to time, the Imperium would covertly send its agents to other nations, seeking notable technologies they can add to the vast collection of techs of the Imperium. The Imperium never sought to expand their holdings further until they need to, making their military more focused on the defensive aspects of warfare.

Currently, the Imperium seeks to gain technology that will help them travel to other galaxies to preserve their empire.

Jeez, so many violent and non-fun aliens around here. Maybe I should shift to a Imperialist society to maintain consistency around here.

The organic comments on the nature of our collective.
The Ka simply strive to survive and learn. We do not have 'fun'. It is irrelevant.

That said ;p I actually quite like your civ. I'd make a peaceful race myself if I didn't want to play synthetics for once ;p

I see that the unholy amalgamation of the Borg, skynet and the Necrons might be a bit of a problem for us organics.

Necrons? Those souless, skeleton-like, unkillable cyborg fellows who seek to conquer the galaxy at the request of an ancient king?

Time to roll out the big guns.
Also, hi!

I forgot about the Reapers.
Yeah, you can add them to the mix.

I think I'll play a hidden race, one that has lain dormant for a long time and is only now revealing itself/being discovered. And they don't like robots, to juxtapose the typical cliche.

”The Underworld”

Little is known about the group called the “Underworld”, what is known is that it runs in a huge space station, attracting various lowlifes, smugglers thieves and people among those classes. On the outside, the station looks decently maintained, however boosting defenses to keep it self away from the usual “suicide run”.

The Underworld on the inside is a well-run machine; On top is the leader of the space station, Joseph “Jackhammer” Green. He runs the space station and its mercenary groups, smuggling groups and stuff. His organization has he calls it, is the umbrella organization for other groups. The question is why isn’t this space station captured by a armed force already?

Well, they are a few theories, beside from corruption and the fact that the station has defenses…

1. The Underworld is known to offer its services to various nations and there representatives when needed, most common services include information gathering/brokering , smuggling illegal items through one station to another. Buying other military’s weapons and etc. These services help the nations, in-exchange however, the Underworld desires it may be kept “at peace”
2. The Build-up of Mercenary and Rouge Fighter Squadrons has made any campaign for the space station troublesome. Even if one does manage to get through the first heavy wave of Anti-Spaceship guns, torpedoes and fighter squadrons. They’ll be fighting an extremely uphill battle. The mercenary groups operate mostly on pieces of turf among the station. Not only that, but when someone tries to land. Various other countermeasures are in affect. Rumour has it that they sometimes quarantine a district for civilians and people, remove them before releasing prisoners or a toxic gas..
3. Illegal Research Firms and Scientists for Hire as people call it, tend to be on the space station. Labs for researching and devolving toxic war gases, chemicals and other weapons of mass destruction also exist, creating a deep cover for nations wanting to make one of this calibre, of course… the high credit fee is in play as well.

I feel your averages are a bit off...
You have a population of 146 Trillion
and yet only 5 million are born each year and 1 million die.
Plus only 6000 crimes are committed per year?

They do? That's nice ;p Though they aren't looking for a solution to element zero destroying stars. And they also don't really operate in cycles.

Ok, this is a quick summary of the kind of nation I'd like to play. Tell me if you think I could improve it somehow:

The Republic of Koninkryk is a small (by galactic standards) empire, believed to be relatively new to the stars. As new as they are, they have expanded quickly, with world after world pledging fealty to them. That is not to say, however, that they are aggresive. Far from it, actually, as many of their worlds were either uninhabited or won over by their advanced technology and silver tounges, rather than force of arms. They have gained many new races and species, all of which are treated with as much equality as possible.

Koninkryk is predominantly matriarchal, due to its roots on Huisward. Here, women are taller, faster and stronger than men, who are considered to be weak but cunning. Thus, it is women who are more likely to arrive in positions of power than men. Indeed, there are but two males in the Republic's parliment - Weiss Feder from Huisward and Drakvarde from nearby planet Skygge. However, this is not considered a downside or negative in any way by most of the Republic's residents, male or female. High-ranking positions are seen as those of responsibility, not power, and it is well known that without the general workforce, the entire Rebublic would collapse.

Speaking of the general workforce, there are many creative, unique and exotic exports from Koninkryk. Many of these are meagre trifles, pretty but otherwise uninportant, but there are a couple of big sellers, namely gemstones and weaponry.
Gemstones in Koninkryk are not small, shiny gems like those of Earth. Each stone is crafted and carved by the elements themselves, not by stone-cutters. They are imbued with power that allows them to be used like conventional power sources. These are doubtlessly cleaner and more powerful than most batteries and fuels, creating zero toxins or waste, but cannot be recharged by normal means. The secret of recharging the stones is kept within the Republic under pain of death, so the only alternatives to returning the gem is to resort to normal power sources or buy more gems. However, chargeless gems still have some use - they retain their strength and sparkle. This means they can be used to replace normal gems in a pinch.
Weaponry is vastly different to the weapons of most other empires. In Koninkryk, soldiers are trained to incapacitate and disarm, not slay and conquer. To meet this strange order, weapons are designed to knock out, paralyze and otherwise render enemies useless without killing them. Even melee weapons are treated to bust through armour without hurting the wearer, and anti-vehicle devices work by frying the electrics and jamming the motors to avoid unnecessary casualties. Even space-faring craft have unique cannons designed to stop other spacecraft from firing back. These weapons are appropriately named "Disruptor" weapons

Disruptors have an adverse effect on robots, cyborgs and other robotically and mechanically enganced beings. Direct hits can result in the creature being disabled, and even glancing hits will set off the creature's closest thing to pain receptors. Cyborgs have reported being incapable of using their mechanical limbs and enhancments for months, even years after the initial shot. Even expert engineers seem unable to get the devices running, short of replacing all the wires and batteries. It should be noted that the aforementioned gems will lose all charge if the suffer a blow from a disruptor, as will some types of battery. In these cases, simply recharging said battery will return it to full function. If this doesn't work, there is no choice but to wait for the device to start working again or replace it. The more power a machine requires to function, the longer the wait. Whereas simple weapons may take a few minutes to unjam, complex vehicles and tanks may take several hours to clear up, and spacecraft could take weeks.
