Lillian couldn't believe it when they had asked her for a very special interview. Usually she only got the small things, but it always involved vampires. She was hired to get the news on them and so they had asked her to go to the one and only Fangtasia. Fangtasia was a place where vampires would mingle with humans and some of them would offer their own blood. Though you couldn't drink of a human in Fangtasia itself. All they had there was human drinks and the oh so famous True Blood, one time she had asked to smell it and to her it smelled like rust. Just the way blood smelled, it didn't seem very appetising to her and if she had to be live the vampires. It wasn't.

That was why she stood at the entrance of Fangtasia, the camera aimed on her face as she heard her sound man go from zero to one. They were live. "Good day, my name is Lillian Hawthornson and today we have a special interview. As you all know, I'm standing in front of the famous Fangtasia. A place where stories come from but where no camera was allowed until now. I got the permission to have an interview with the most important vampire of this district. We're going to interview the Sheriff, the man who looks over the fact if rules are followed or not." She told the camera as she then walked towards the entrance. Watching how a female opened the door ad instantly she watched how people seemed to be having fun.

For a moment there were stares towards the woman with her camera, but it didn't last long. The vampires seemed to have accepted it and so she walked further. Letting her camera man shoots some images while she was looking for the man that she was about to interview. Realising that he wasn't there and so she tapped her camera man on his shoulder and then smiled at the camera. "This is the first glimpse of Fangtasia and I hope you will be there when we come back." She said as she then turned to the bar and showed her true face. One that didn't have the fake smile as she had in front of that camera.

Ordering a non alcoholic drink as she then decided it was best to wait for the man himself. Trying to relax as she knew the questions would come from the studio. She only had to have patience.

Alex was in the bathroom, though he wasn't alone. Beneath him sitting on the toilet was a young blonde girl bleeding from the neck. Two small puncture holes were located just below the jaw line. Smiling at her he reached up a finger and punctured one of his fingers on a fang. He rubbed a single dot of blood on each of the open wounds and watched as the stitched themselves together until nothing was left at all.

Turning to leave the bathroom he felt a hand reach up and grab onto his arm. He turned around and saw the blonde moving into kiss him. With a frown he pushed away, "Don't think that because I feed on you there was a connection between us. There was nothing. You are a blood-whore and nothing more. Am I clear?" He looked her in the eyes staring her down until she backed away into the farthest corner of the stall.

Pushing open the door to the bathroom Alex took a deep breathe. He didn't need to breathe anymore, not now that he was dead, but he like to retain the human portion of himself. Calmly walking through the bar he picked up a small napkin and used it to wipe the remaining blood off his face. The Sheriff of this district couldn't go around looking like a slob. He had certain duties.

Speaking of duties, as Alex neared the front of the bar he noticed a reporter standing next to her camera man. He watched them for a good minute before deciding to approach. He speed off moving across the room in the blink of an eye until he was standing directly next to the reporter looking down on her. "I believe you were looking for me?"

Lillian never had liked to act like she was just like the other reporters, who only cared about their looks on the screen. Those women who always wore fake smiles and who acted like they were better then any other living human. It disgusted her to no end, but she did enjoy the job itself. She loved hunting for stories and afterwards she would be so lucky to write a summary of the whole interview for a paper. Finally she was getting some recognition for her hard work.

She had just drained her drink when the vampire stood next to her, almost making her jump if it hadn't been for the rush of wind. Holding out her hand at him as she smiled "you must be Alex, or do you prefer another title. My name is Lillian, and I do prefer my full name. That is why I ask." She told the while trying to calm herself down, she was eager for the story to unfold and to have her answers about vampires.

"As you might have heard. I'm making an interview about vampires in general. But since most humans are still quite afraid. I was thinking to speak to the law in forcer himself of vampires and what the rules are an all of that. There also will be questions about fangtasia. So just let me know if there is anything that you do not wish to discuss. After the interview the crew will leave and I'll start here on my article. Just so I don't word you wrongly." She told the man as she only then realised that he was quite handsome for a vampire. It had to be that he had been just like that as a human, it was what she had figured out already.

And yet she was a bit nervous, realising that she had been the only one talking and making it seem like she was like all those other reporters. While she just wanted to get the interview done in a timely manner.

Alex stood for a second watching her hold out her hand. She was pretty for a human. Long wavy brown hair that fell about her shoulders. She looked delicious, but he had to restrain himself. After all he was about to be on camera. "I've been called Alexander, though you may call me Alex." He shook her hand politely.

"Now," He took a step back from her so he wasn't dangerously close, "I will tell you as much as I can about us vampires, starting with myself. I'm over a thousand years old. I was little more than thirty when I was turned by my maker." He smiled wide at the thought of his maker who he loved dearly. His fangs popped out on their own accord. Tilting his head slightly he looked to see what their reaction to them would be. "These days i'm the local Sheriff and this is my district. I uphold the Law, and make sure its followed. Anyone that disobeys... well we deal with them privately."

Alex was never one to wait around while someone else stumbled to get ready. He certainly hadn't waited for this reporter and had simply taken control of the interview. It was something that he was used to, having control over the situation. With something as important as educating the dimwitted humans before they did something rash against his kind, well he wasn't going to let just anyone direct him on that.

"My name is Lillian, and I know that you uphold the law. My question was about what the law is and how it is enforced. You don't have to save any details." She told him as the others had seemed to be startled by the way he had popped his fangs out. She other hand was more then intrigued as the fangs showed.

She then made sure everything was being filmed, knowing that the eyes were on them in lot of the homes. The show always had been quote popular as she then made sure that she kept her thoughts on the questions. "Some people even wonder if it is illegal to drink of a human. Those kinds of things are the most interesting." She told the man. Hoping that he would tell her more then what others had been willing to share.

As Alex's fangs popped out he noticed that the camera man flinched. However the young interviewer, Lillian, did not seem scared. She was interested. It was a rare quality that Alex hadn't seen in many humans. Many of them allowed their fear to think for them. "Our law? Our law is simple, it's nearly the same except for a few minor distinctions. Much like the ones between you and me."

"America. It's a lovely place, is it not? I remember clearly when I first came over. I was on one of the first ships over. I was also there when the Constitution got signed, along with the Bill of Rights. This country was based on freedom. The freedom of action, speech, and belief. So if any person willingly gives consent one of our own to drink, why should it be illegal?" Alex grinned sure that what he had said had won a few over. "The same goes for any other action that a vampire might commit with a human. And any time that this freedom, this acceptance on both half's of our kinds, that's where I step in."
