The power creep in that war was beyond insane.

I'm pretty sure each servant involved could solo all previous wars.

Yea I am not denying the power creep, but remember that was the War with Maou, and I only used the full hax potential of the wolves to try and beat her, which still didn't work properly. Would you rather I remove them?

Nah, they're interesting. I don't have a problem with them.

And Maou was pretty much the worst thing in the entire war.

Feral animal illusions.

When we brought it up in the Hive OOC thread, actual PTSD of Maou happened.

The twins are fine, though my point about random eldritch bloodlines from earlier still stands.

Gonna have to start posting a Trigger Warning whenever Maou is brought up.

That was the first game of my Online RPing career, and I think it will also be the darkest of days of the said career.

To be perfectly honest, it wasn't so much Maou herself that was bad, it was the shit storms Byrd kicked up trying to defend the utterly indefensible crap he was trying to pull with her.

To be honest your issue with the bloodlines is the same issue I have with Origins, why I am not using them anymore nor care for them.

Most of my Eldritch bloodlines (as you put it) were created originally to not only have a source for the abilities of certain magecrafts and origins but to explain their usage and mechanics. Rather than having Origins appearing from nowhere or just be there (when they are meant to be rare as fuck) with a flexiable amount of ambiguity that allowed them to do anything as long as it was reasoned slightly. So I had rules in place like the Branson's/Sigurd's Gram RM for instance. Which made family based magic be able to keep up with some Origin level stuff. I admit I do do tit for tat, but I try to go around the issue, often causing a newer one haha.

Like the Twin's didn't even have any bloodline powers they just had an extremely complex story and however out of hand I may have gotten with Avy and his stuff, he still only had Fire and Earth powers with clear restrictions. In this the twins are just the children of the priest who works as the school counselor. And I can't derail my own game really with my own crazy shit as the set up for this one doesn't allow it.

Eh, origins aren't super rare. Souren can awaken them in people at will after all.

And they aren't really meant to be overpowered. Having one is a plus, but only if your magecraft aligns with it.

Haha yeah. I guess the twins never really whipped out the Lance of Longinus, so they never really were too crazy...though now that I think about it, that may be because the Lance was in possession of Mr. I'm-so-OP-I-can-go-toe-to-toe-with-Servant's Nero.

Teh, GoL, and I literally sat down and strategized how we could defeat Nero, because Joyeuse was too ridiculous. Not his Saber. Just Nero.
