Demonic Ranks:

1. Lesser demons

Often called the scum or trash of Hell, this rank is nearly almost given to Imps and Goblins. Cunning and deceitful little creatures, they are often the annoyance of other demons and will do many things for the right price.


2. Ordinary demons

The most common demon around in Hell. They are the workers and roamers, used to torture souls on the seven plains of Hell. They come in many shapes and sizes, many different species, but are always very simpleminded. Easy to trick, even by Imps and Goblins and usually only have one basic attack.


3. Soldier demons

These demons were considered Ordinary demons, the most common on the 9 planes. There was something different about them though, they had a more complex mind than the simpleminded beasts on the planes. They were considered useful and taught how to fight properly. Not very powerful, but smarter than Ordinary demons.[/i]


4. High demons

Mostly clan leaders, teachers at Hell's academy and Sergeants in Hell's great army. They harness a great amount of power and are good strategists. Hard to beat in a battle.


5. Primal beasts

The name says it all, this rank is given to Primal creatures, feral beasts with enormous strength and even some kind of basic intellect. Their massive bodies and powerful attacks are only limited by their lower intelligence. This makes them just slightly less powerful than Leading demons.


6. Leading demons

The leaders of Hell's army, divided over the General, Lieutenant general and Major general. These can be considered the Highest beings in Hell's army. Very hard to beat due to their high intelligence and power.


7. Royal demons

Despite what most think, Satan's family is not the only royal family in Hell. Satan himself has bestowed power upon certain individuals and decided they would be known as royalty. They can be seen as Barons and Dukes, to make it easier to understand. At least one individual in the family will gain the power Satan bestowed onto their family. This power varies per demon, but is equal to the power of a Leading demon, if not higher.


8. Void demons

Void demons are most peculiar, powerful and dangerous demons. They hold power over a degenerative power that can disintegrate any kind of material if the user has enough experience over it. The smartest of demons, said to be surpassed only by those with Satanic blood, they are among the most dangerous of opponents. Often hired as Satanic bodyguards. An ordinary person cannot dream to defeat a demon like this and may only succeed if the demon is inexperienced and having a very bad day.


9. Satanic demons


Satan and his offspring are the only ones allowed to hold this rank. Their power is unimaginable, they are the most cunning and deceitful of all demons. It is said the members of the Satanic family cannot feel any emotion besides hatred, or their evil heart would shatter and they would die. Not much is known of these demons, as they usually kill any that opposes them. Rumors spread through their army, but that is all that is truly known of these beings.

Other ranks:
Reapers:
The collectors of souls, commanded by Lord Death himself. These beings cannot be compared to demons and cannot be ranked like them. Their power varies per personality, collected amount of souls and skills.
Succubi:
The temptresses of Hell come in many shapes and species, though the most common one is the humanoid demon. These women's (mostly women) power is based on the amount of energy and souls they collect from men in the human world. Therefor they cannot be placed in the ranks of most demons.

Personality: Harsh and cold, Monu Izanagi is the official executioner of Hell and a close friend of Satan. Prized for her ruthlessness, she is one of few able to make a soul disappear from Hell's planes forever. She idolizes Satan and looks down at his child(ren), finding them to be unworthy of his bloodline.

History: Born as a void demon, Monu Izanagi was only 7 years old when she was taken into Satan's castle and was assigned to be his bodyguard. Being thrown into a task like that was a difficult job for a child such as herself and she had frequent mental breakdowns when she started, certainly now that her parents had left her there. Void demons don't make very good parents.
Either way, one day, as she was training in the palace courtyard a Royal demon, a Baron from a certain plane, attacked the castle. Several guards were killed by him and his henchmen, before Izanagi arrived at the scene. The henchmen were weak, easily killed by the now 8 year old girl, but the Baron was something else. He had unlocked the power of his family and aimed to overthrow Satan himself with it, driven mad by the sudden burst of power he had received.
The demon had driven Izanagi into a corner, wounding her severely in the process and was threatening to finish her off when suddenly Satan himself calmly entered through the doors of the hall. The baron sneered at the demonic ruler and laughed at how he was going to kill him, but he didn't even flinch. When the baron attacked with a sudden burst of speed, a single, terrifying smirk appeared on the demon's face and not even a second later the Baron's neck was impaled by his claw. Needless to say, a single burst of power was enough to disintegrate the Baron's body and leave only a small, shimmering soul, which Satan shattered between his fingertips.

Izanagi froze when the fiery gaze of the demon king fell onto her, but all he did was close her wounds with the flick of his wrist and speak to her; "If you wish to be strong, girl, you must have the dedication to kill. Kill without mercy, kill without regret, kill even without thought for your own life. This world is no place for such petty emotions, nor is my castle and your soul is a speck of dust that a stronger enemy can blow away without a second thought."
With that he released the dust of the soul he had shattered and retreated to his chambers.

Now most people would say such words were too harsh for such a young girl, but to Izanagi it was the best advice she had ever gotten in her life. Hell, it was the only true advice she had ever gotten in her life.
From that moment on Izanagi trained the way she had been told; without any thoughts about her own life, without mercy. She soon became known as one of the most fearsome opponents of the 9th plane. It took about 300 years for her to reach the level of power she needed to control her abilities. This was also the moment she was appointed as Hell's executioner by Satan. She strives to become even stronger and seeks only strong opponents to battle with. She only socializes with those of equal power or higher power than herself.
