Aidan blinked in surprise. He hadn't expected the Princess to both deny his offer and start questioning him. He rubbed the back of his head. "Hmm...well, there's economics for one." He said with a smile. "Histories, mathematics, geography, sociology, psychology, linguistics...all the things a child of aristocracy has to endure. I enjoy studying subjects like herbology, alchemy, mythology and music on my own accord," Aidan decided to leave out any mention of cheesy adventure stories, despite spending too much time with his nose in those sorts of books. He figured that the Princess would find such an interest laughable.

He shifted his chair so that he was position in front of Zelda, their bodies facing each other. "I'm also learned in some...less than academic studies. Unarmed self-defense, mediation, stealth and counter-assassination. Mostly based on ancient Sheikah schooling. And yourself, dear?"

She listened to him, smiling all the while. An interesting man, indeed. Her smile faded when he mentioned the Sheikah.

"Uhm... Just things, here and there. You know. Princess.. things?" She told him, feeling a little bit more awkward than before. She hated talking about this. He'd never ask her things like this. They had no need for it. She shook her head and smiled. "Sorry. I'm just... tired, I suppose. The only... combat training I ever got was from the guards here and only because of how many attempts there have been at my life." She explained, chuckling.

Liar.

In truth, Zelda was highly skilled with Sheikah knowledge. She'd spent a good deal of her time training under them, getting to the point where she could better protect Link. Protect her country and it's people. They didn't need to know it was her doing those things.

Aidan raised a brow as he noticed Zelda lose her composure for the first time. Hearing her stammer and chuckle awkwardly was odd. "Princess things? No, I wouldn't know much about that, not being a princess." he smirked. "What's wrong? Frightened by the knowledge that your fiancée is a trained assassin?" he said teasingly.

"My father insisted I be trained in the old Sheikah arts, both as a means of protecting myself and to preserve our culture. I'm part Sheikah if you couldn't tell from the eyes - my grandmother was a pureblood. The red-eyes themselves are a dominant genetic trait."
