Neither would Silas, I could make it work though... Really not sure, I already have him as Strategist and quartermaster, can probably get rid of the strategist or simply add cook as a third role.

What is your story arc idea? PM it to me, and Arch as well, maybe.

What is a quartermaster, and why would we need one on our ship?

Quartermaster is one of two military occupations.

In land armies, especially U.S. units, a quartermaster is either an individual soldier or a unit that specializes in distributing supplies and provisions to troops. The senior unit, post or base supply officer is customarily referred to as "the quartermaster". Often the quartermaster serves as the S-4 in U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps units and NATO units. In the British Army, it is an appointment held by a Late Entry Officer (commissioned from the ranks). They normally control the Quartermaster's Department of a unit's Headquarters company.

In many navies, quartermaster is a non-commissioned officer (petty officer) rank for personnel responsible for their ship's navigation. In the U.S. Navy, the quartermaster is responsible for the ship's navigation and maintenance of nautical charts and maps. Aboard merchant ships, quartermasters are usually the Able Seamen assigned to bridge watches. A naval quartermaster's main task is to steer the ship and execute the helm orders given by the Captain or watch officers.

it's basically gonna be like this. After we get to the grandline, we will meet Brook and Laboon where one of the crew will get sick or badly injured (i haven't decided who yet). Brook will tell us of a rumor he heard about a doctor on a nearby island close to the red line. we go there and Leo's arc takes place. after that, some shenanigans happen and we go get our cook. after the cook's arc, we start Natsu's arc (i'm pretty sure Crimson and Lady have a few ideas for this)

IT, the first is the only thing I knew the quartermaster to be. What would be the naval equivalent for that?

Sounds legit. Wait, Natsu isn't joining the crew with Griff?

I do not honestly know, but honestly, just calling him Quartermaster would still work; just not in the nautical sense.

Okay. See I had watched Pirates 4 and the zombie quartermaster was the guy who relayed Blackbeards orders and made sure they were followed. It sounded like he was basically one step below first mate. That's why I wanted to make sure I knew what it was.

And Natsu IS joining with Griff (I hope) but the plan me and Lady are working on takes place further down the line. By the way IT, would Leo be able to understand bio-mechanical engineering. Dani is gonna need help eventually.

It's One Piece; If it has organs and blood, a doctor can patch it up.

Excellent, but Dani also has mechanics. There will be a time when she will be unable to patch herself up like she normally can, because she'll be on the verge of death. There's also an interesting other little tidbit regarding a perpetual energy device, but we'll get to that later.

Goody!

Phil. Irish. Griff and Leo will be responsible for replacing Dani's faulty heart with a perpetual energy generator after Malachi nearly kills her from ONE attack (not even his ultimate either. Just his mid-level Hard-X). Being a patchwork cyborg doesn't give very much defense against vibrations.

Hold up. Who's up to bat? While it's Lady's turn in the rotation, Phil's post ends pointing towards Sable. I'm confused.
