Well this looks like fun..

One question though, as I am incredibly new: where the hell do I post my characters, and what standards must they meet?

He hasn't posted anything in any thread for two weeks, so I think it's safe to count him out for now.

okay. i'll have a post up later today when i think up something. hope we her from him soon otherwise i'll likely drop him from the list. can't have him coasting through most of the fight without a scratch due to not being here.

Well if we're using the two strikes and you're dead rule, he should have to start fresh after missing this current post, since it would be the killing blow post if he was engaged in combat. Which means he'd need to start with a new character (or the same one without prior knowledge of the combatants, since he was voided instead of killed).

sounds fair. just decided that i'll close character acceptances when we get a bit further into the fighting. just so everyone isn't all warn out and hurt then a new fighter shows up fresh and ready to crush all the tired fighters.

Ah, I see... Well then, I guess I'd better get to writing :]

I'll be available until Sunday so if I can get a good character out by then I should be ready to just jump in when I get back? Not that I'd want to hold you guys up; if I'm too late, I'm too late XD

Then I will MURDER HIM IN THE AFTERLIFE.

Wait, Steve has only ever lost to a water mage and the undead overlord...

I'm not sure how I feel about closing the thread. I kind of like the idea of a rolling battle (if we can keep it going) where characters die and can be replaced by new characters and so on until everyone's all charactered out. Like a testing thread for new arena characters (or old ones) that you can rejoin with a new character after your current one is defeated.

If you're not up for that though, Max, I'll probably create my own after I get my computer next week.

Well, actualy, the force exerted by muscle is a property of the muscle itself, and in no way of the nerves.

Eh, its just pseudo science. No one really feels the need to explain how vampires work!

I've just done my best :)

True, Vordak, but normal strength is much less than maximum possible strength, given that people under the effects of adrenaline can lift cars and those being shocked or having seizures can make a mess of anything they hit in their spasms. Thinker's character would just be able to reach that maximum output at will.

Though that maximum would be immensely lower than 300,000 times human strength.

Not that you would want to... it'd be... messy.
