The Captain HE WHO HAS NO ENEMY CAN NOT BE SLAIN

With no offense intended if it was simply intended to be a plot development, it really seems to me to be more of a really game-y means of countering the size of the Commonwealth, which I wholeheartedly disagree with. That's my two cents. This is a RP after all, not Risk. We're not here to paint the map but to make a story.

It's unrealistic, but not in the sense that this game is 'unrealistic' (giant robots, power armor, gauss rifles, different geopolitical boundaries), but that it's completely unfeasible.

Indeed, the real problem I have is having to defend all my land... Its so bad I made a separate armed forces branch for every continent. Everyone else has the advantage of having their land packed together... So the Nazi's and Yugo go out and squander that advantage xD Clearly genius at work.

Not to mention, it relies loads on the other powers sleeping. For example, I blockaded Gibraltar, have fun getting enough supplies through and quickly enough to support your Portugese and east African invasions Duck. If other people begin to do this? Egypt might collapse the Seuz as it seems they are losing, not to mention other countries might follow suit with embargoes, and have fun expanding with no money.

The Japs are likely to be alarmed that they suddenly got bordered by the Reich and in turn support Russia, the Americans and their leader might jump at the chance to rebuild their public image a bit consisting their rebel problems, Stanland is going to feel threatened and the Commonwealth is going to wake up to find half their neighbours gobbled up... I am certain most of those factions are going to intervene

Also, lets just ignore the rebel factions we have, let us go and get more...

From a political, economic, military, stability and supply line POV, its a terrible plan... That is unless this is some Mussolini esque plan. Maybe the two countries are already struggling and are trying to distract people from the problems by building an empire and saying "No worries, alls good!"? Maybe that's what's going on, but I would think that would be mentioned before? I dunno.

Perhaps they feel like playing through the collapse of their empire, which seems strange considering we're sitting on page 2. It's the only logical explanation.

I think you guys are misundstanding the treaty... it's mapping out what future borders may look like. Not declaring war on half the world.

Also I'm not a Nazi... The Nazi party was a socialist movement. I'm not socialist.

Also the intent is to roleplay and if we all just sit around being happy together we are going to get bored really fast. So stop criticizing us for actually doing something that will affect global politics.

No, we aren't. If you following through on this affecting "global politics" looks like it will be WW5... On page two.

Lets be honest too, how often did the socialism really take form in the Nazi party?

Well considering the word Nazi itself stood for "National Socialist German workers party" I'd say it was pretty relevant.

Now if you want to refer to the Reich as Nazis to insult them that would be acceptable I suppose.

I just wanted to clarify I'm not the Nazis.

*shrugs* It only means ww5 if you make it so.

Also I'm curious as to how everyone knows about the map and our alliance? I don't believe we ever said it was particularly public knowledge. It certainly isn't public within the Reich.

The Nazi's were never socialists, that name is pretty much a lie. They were fascists

And its not intended as a gamey thing to, it does kinda of make some sense. Both are really imperialist and use mass propaganda against there citizens to encourage nationalism.

Firstly, these proposed borders involve the invasion and annexation of every single newly colored country, as evidenced by Duck's post declaring said invasions. So, while not officially doing so, it is in fact threatening the integrity of these nations. You're essentially telling them their days as a free state are numbered.

You're oversimplifying things. That's not the limit of a rp; 'sitting around being happy and getting boring' or 'invading half the known world'.

Fascism is a form of socialism at its core. It takes elements of rightist and leftist policy. Nazism was 'national socialism'. It involved socialist policies in addition to its own unique characteristics, particularly an emphasis on, you know, nationalism.

Furthermore, not once in Duck's post are the map and the treaty stated to be secret diplomacy. It was pretty clear to me that it was a public declaration.

Also, you know, invading African countries in itself is grounds for reaction, even disregarding the treaty.

(And that coincides with Duck's statement regarding mass mobilization and propaganda being part of the justification.)

I did not understand the treaty to be public knowledge, especially considering it details what nations we plan to annex/invade.

I'm stating now that the Reich did not release the treaty as public knowledge so unless Yugoslavia did then it's not public.

Yugoslavias current physical invasions are obviously public.

The Reich invasion plans are not.

The invasion plans themselves? Secret, sure. That's military intel.

Duck hasn't said otherwise yet, and has also posted the treaty, and so I'm under the impression that Yugoslavia did release it, and with it the speculated map of German expansion.

Actually I did intend for the treaty to be secret, it was posted in IC so Fox could see it.
Although you cant really hide a invasion.

If you intended for it to be secret then you should have said as much. You've misled everyone here except for Fox.

My whole entire post revolves around it.

We can always say that there was a leak and that both countries are denying it. The map however wouldn't be leaked as the map was only created for visual reference. It doesn't exist IC except for in those involved heads.

The treaty's name implies an organized division of African and European states. If there isn't a map there's most likely something mentioning at least some countries by name.

I will say yes there is a document outlining the treatys claims somewhere within Germany. But You'd need spies to get that sort of Knowledge from the Reich.

The treaty is called 'The Yugoslavian-German Friendship treaty and Treaty of the Division of Africa and Europe'. If the treaty is leaked, and it apparently has no mention of what is being divided where ... because reasons, and Yugoslavia is indeed invading poor African states without cause, then it's still not a stretch of the imagination or a leap of logic etc. etc. to come to the conclusion that Germany intends to do the same thing elsewhere or at least collude with Yugoslavia. Whether or not the particulars are known of where and when Germany intends to strike is a moot point politically speaking. Germany is just as suspect as Yugoslavia at this point.

Unfortunately being as 'suspect as Yugoslavia' in this context means being as suspect as the person who is invading .. nine or so countries at once.

But I mean sure. You're totally not involved. You're clean.
