Human Powers:
Blissful Aura – Those around him experience an increase in luck and fortune. Their relations with others go more smoothly and there is an overall calmness when in his general vicinity (20-ft radius and does not travel through barriers). This is largely minor though noticeable. Those who know of this aura outright have the ability to ignore it if they choose to resist. This also does not affect him.
Minor Fire Manipulation – This is limited to open flames. He cannot increase or decrease the size of the fire itself. He, can, however condense or expand the fire. Doing so increases the focus required to control it.
Enchanting Song – Being a naturally skillful singer, his range can affect the moods of others should he choose to sing. This may be resisted through greater means that his Aura, but with both, it is increasingly difficult. He has songs which lull the listener to sleep or uplifts their spirit or vitality.
Monster Powers:
Fire Creation – He now has the ability to create waves of fire that can consume a large area. He can change the temperature at will, allowing it simply warm and remain harmless to touch or able to melt steel.
Healing Tears – Tears from his eyes have healing capabilities which mend a wide array of physical wounds. Poisons may also be cured but must be able to enter the blood directly. The amount of tears is directly proportional to how much might be healed.
Razor Talons – His claws are highly durable and painfully sharp.
Advanced Powers:
Light Aura – A halo appears around his crown as if the brightness of his feathers and down reflects the light in such a way to produce a rainbow. His presences how has an ethereal nature as well as a Blissful one.
Fire Mastery – His feathers can be as hot as lava or as cool as water. Furthermore, the flames produced from his wings and beak grow more vibrant and disarming, should he decide them to be.
Deafening Shriek – His Song can become a frightful shrill that can stun most anything able to hear it.
Regeneration – Erupting into flames, he can set himself afire and char his body into ash and dust. Performing this transforms him back into his human form and, thus, may only be performed once in his Advanced form.
Sealing/Unsealing Requirements: Being in the presence of a Dragon (in monster form) forcibly transforms him into his Advanced form and is the only method with which to become Advanced. This is due to the associative relation between Dragons and Phoenix in his heritage. Regeneration is one of the only means with which he has to return back into a human form. The other is escaping the presence of the Dragon completely. He also has difficulty transforming into and out of his regular Monster form as high enough levels of aggression and an air of threat will cause him to defensively transform into a Phoenix.
Personality: Shy and self-conscious at times. Will be friendly when allowed enough time to be acquainted with an individual. Crowds give him anxiety, but to an easily-handled degree. He is diligent and efficient but can be lazy at times.
History: He only recently began to take some level of pride in his monstrosity. He came from a long line of Phoenix’s but his parents attempted to suppress his abilities in order to fit into the human world. Unfortunately, he’d been gifted with his great-grandparents skills and found it incredibly difficult to suppress his abilities. Because of his Blissful Aura, he got along well enough with humans but found it difficult to explain some of the accidents surround his unusual nature. Because of this, he's remained reserved and highly self-aware. The subtlety of females makes it easier to remain in a human form.
With the death of his grand-parents before his birth and his parents’ lack of knowledge for controlling these abilities, they’ve resorted to placing him into the Yokai Academy in order to control his powers rather than just suppress them, as they noted this suppression was only worsening his social state as well as his happiness and self-confidence. His parents wish him to branch out from what is his norm so he might be able to endure heightened emotions of those around him without transforming unnecessarily.
