And...posted. XD How do they get to choose their Starters? In order of how well their battles went? XD

They don't get their starters yet, as it's not part of the trainer initiation process anymore. If you remember from the first post, the official process of becoming a trainer was that you first needed to have a starter (which could be one you owned, like with us, or one you bought just for the occasion) and then battled a Gym to prove your worth. There is no more of that "choose from grass, fire and water starters" type of deal going on. We'll get ours a bit differently, but don't worry, it happens sort of soon~

As for how they choose them, I'm imagining they just get handed one at random 8D'' They will be the ones we agreed to earlier, though.

Hehe, just asking does Stella's Togepi...have a Naughty or Bold nature? I thought of this weird idea that the Pokemon have implied Natures based on the way they act. XD Nerissa's eventual Cyndaquil will probably be more level-headed or shyer than the other starters...might be Mild or Lonely. XD One thing's for sure...none of Nerissa's Pokemon will be Careful! XD Cecil's is hard to pin down, but he's most likely Rash. XD

I could see Cecil as Adamant as well, but considering Rash works too and is the better nature (+Sp.Att yay), probably just go with that. Overture... I think she'd be Docile. Emil's future Totodile is definitely Naughty.

Hehe, and they're not even pink or gold! XD Nerissa would prefer Dusk Balls and Heavy Balls...maybe Quick Balls for her impatience. Funny how the Moon Ball is fitting for the types of Pokemon that Stella catches, but the design of the ball fits Nerissa better. XD Emil might actually be the type who uses Timer Balls? XD

Heh, Rash allows Cecil to be both Physical and Special. XD I think that Nerissa's eventual Agrippina (a female Garchomp) will be Adamant...and her Hydreigon will be named Nero...probably Naughty, and the two will dislike each other a lot. XD Why do I keep seeing Stella's Chikorita as being female but with a boyish personality? XD

Her Togepi is Bold. lD I spent a great deal of time breeding Bold Togepis. xD I'm considering her Chikorita will be Timid as a Chikorita, but become Calm when she gets older and evolves into a Meganium. xD (Another reason why I dislike Pokemon Natures. People change as they get older.)

Woops. Emil's secret is busted; she's actually called Emilia and she's pwetty. As for balls, I imagine him carrying a ton of different kinds and then launching into a longwinded calculation session whenever he needs to catch something to see which ball would be the most effective. I can see Nerissa just grabbing one of his balls at that point and throwing it at whatever he's trying to catch |D

Yeah, the Department Store is basically the biggest... uh, department store... in whole of Johto, so expect to find pretty much everything there. These guys need some other supplies than Pokémon goods too.

I always imagined Pokémon natures as just being one core part of their personality, not all there is to them. For example, someone who's Naughty might grow less so when they grow up, but probably retain at least some part of that previous naughtiness, etc.

Well actually...yes, that works! XD Nerissa would be the one most likely to forget stocking up on her balls, and she buys him those expensive hats I incorporated in his other regional looks. XD Hehe, it's pretty clear that his hat influence came from Nerissa, considering that Stella's hats are feminine in style, while Nerissa's are more unisex. XD She probably would stay away from Heal Balls though. Her Crawdaunt definitely has to be in a Dive Ball. XD

Damn, wrong guess about Chikorita...thought that she was Brave or Adamant. XD Hehe, Jes's explanation seems to work. XD Most of Nerissa's smaller Pokemon work with the less mellowed personalities though...maybe to make up for a lack of size? XD Come on,,,even the characters themselves have Natures...Jes and me chose them based on how they fit, as well as the Contest types they benefit and hinder (for example, Nerissa cannot work well with +Cute/Smart, -Cool or +Cute/Smart, -Tough or +Cute/Smart, -Beauty). Stella here would be Sassy, hehe. XD -Cute isn't as ill-fitting as -Beauty for Stella anyway. XD

It had to be a Bug with a 500 BST to match the other two, and Drapion is the only one I know with a 500 BST...Scolipede fell short at 485. Stella does not need a Pokegear. She has a top-of-the-line Holo Caster that's not available outside of Kalos yet. :P

Edit: Apparently, the Holo Caster doesn't run any apps... ):< She still has a really fancy phone/Pokegear/thingy, because it fits. xD

Well, I was just mentioning fully-evolved forms. XD The final stage of the Bug has to have a BST of 500, like Pinsir and Heracross have 500 BST, just to complete a theme. XD I think Skorupi/Drapion is the only good option with such a BST...as Leavanny is too girly, Scolipede falls short and Clawitzer might be an invertebrate but is not a bug. XD Plus, Drapion fits with Nerissa's Scorpio sign well. XD Scizor (my "cute bug" picture was a Scyther) has BST 520, I think....though it works if Emil has to evolve Haunter into Gengar...and Nerissa for once gets the slowest one instead of the quickest (Heracross - 85, Pinsir - 85, Drapion - 95). XD

Emil is an Ace Trainer, of course! The Kalos ones look real fashionable. XD There's even an Ace Trainer in XY named Emil. XD There was a Nerissa there too, but she was a Furisode Girl (the type wearing black and red). XD Yup, she'd definitely be a Punk Girl though! XD

Scarily enough, the Kalos (male) Ace Trainers actually look a lot like I imagined Emil to look in his moments of self-importance and cocky-ness, just with different hair. So... yeah, that definitely fits.

I forgot, which one got which one again between Pinsir and Scyther? I remember wanting Pinsir but ending up with Scyther, but not sure.

Man, the forums are really lagging for me (and I guess for everyone else too) right now. Lost a starter post for an rp because of that already 8V I know, I know, "But Jester, don't you usually write in Word?" Yeah. Usually.

Anyway, yesh, we should definitely find an excuse for Atrum's designs, and some sort of a Pokegear is a must. Don't worry, we'll end up in different regions eventually - and most likely before we finish all Johto gyms. Because plot.

From your previous posts on the old OOC, if I recall correctly, you wanted Emil to get a giant creepy-crawly-looking, kinda disgusting bug ( you deemed Scyther/Scizor, which was my suggestion, as not very creepy-crawly), which he would hate at first, so he would end up with a Pinsir...perhaps Emil would want Scyther but gets Pinsir instead? XD Stella lucks out with a Shiny female Heracross. XD Unless you like Drapion...which is kind of a bug. XD

BTW...do you think that Nerissa should keep her current Gaia hair or change it into this hairdo I'm showing? It's still kinda messy and passionate-looking, and still has a reddish/rose tint compared to Stella's golden blonde, but shows off clothes better. XD Current or this one? XD Just think of it as hip-length and a little bit messier. XD
