Isaiah ran to catch up to the queen, noting the way she growled at the guards. This dragon business was still odd for him. "My queen perhaps I should deal with Sir Galen while you rest?" He tried to hide the urgency in his voice for he was even more worried for the queen than he normally was now that he knew her secret.

She glared at Isiah "I need to talk to him, he needs my help" she said in a stern voice she was beginning to become irritated with him "Listen Isiah i love you but just let me handle thiis" she said and continued to stare at galaen wondering what he was going to say, maybe something to help or more bad news

"Ah! Irene! Lovely to see you again. There are a great many things for us to discuss and we really mus-.... eh.... You have some... red... on your face... have you been eating those red berries you so loved as a child?" He said with a grin, though his eyes betrayed a worry his words would not.
He used one of his long sleeves and wiped the queen's cheeks. "No matter, no matter. We should get you inside. As I said, we've much to discuss."

"But-" Isaiah started but instead he bowed. "As you wish my queen. If you require me I shall be in the stables." He said before he walked away.

Princess Lorelai was still studying when she got word that the queen had returned. She wanted to see her but it seemed that she was busy with someone. Instead she sought out Isiah. She found him in the stables and gave a cry of joy when she saw him. "Thank goodness!" She said, lifting her skirts and running toward him and, in a fit of joy, she tossed her arms around him. "Both my queen and my knight are safe. I am so terribly happy." She pulled back a bit to look at him. "Tell me, what happened out there?"

Taking the queen's hand, Galen led her back into her castle. "So, you must tell me, your majesty... Have there been any happenings of late?"
He sent a small thread of magic through his hand into hers, taking note of her current composure. It was something he often did when he wanted to relax someone... or if he wanted to be able to tell if they were lying. Every twitch of a muscle could give away a person's true thoughts, no matter what tales the tongue may spin.

"Mmh?" Said Dragomir watching the commotion and taking mental notes that he will have to follow up on "Yes dear, let us go. But tomorrow I must go to the Castle and satisfy my curiosity"

Isaiah out his arm around the princess and gave a small smile. "I promised you I would bring her back." He was uneasy about revealing the queen's secret, so he went back to the mode of the dutiful knight. "Some people helped me retrieve the queen, as for the rest you'll have to ask the queen herself."

"The people of the kingdom are so kind." Lorelai said blissfully. "When she is free and feeling better, I will be sure to ask he what happened. But all the same I am glad she is safe." The princess was always so kind and innocent, never the kind to hurt a soul and would sooner throw down her life than risk the one she loves. Strolling over to the one of the horses, a golden curly coated mare, she gave it a gentle pet. "I think you're quite lucky, Sir Isiah. To be able to protect the ones you care for, I dare say that I am jealous."

Isaiah chuckled. The princess was naive and innocent, two things he loved about her. Hearing her reminded him why he became a knight in the first place to protect the royal family, after the old king had took him in when he had no obligation to. "I dare say I have to agree with you princess. I wouldn't trade my position for anything else in the world."

Lorelai smiled and gave the kind mare a nuzzle. "Well that's good. Otherwise I think I'd go mad behind these castle walls." Lorelai's father, the old king, seldom approved of the girl going out and after his passing that had become a part of castle rules. For the princess to leave would require a rather large entourage but she adored hearing of the vast world beyond the stone walls. Even if it was made up. She was childish in that way.

After giving the horse a tender stroke she brought up the courage to ask a question. "Can we go riding today?" The castle grounds extended far into the forest for equestrianism and controlled hunts. People were usually so busy that no one really took thier highness riding.

"Oh, oh, dear me, sir. Those rags aren't fitting for a young gentleman like you. Come! Admire my new set of traveller's clothes with a hood! It can be yours for thirty gold coins, sir."
"Ye want a sword? Well here ya go. Long, graceful. A beauty, that. And maybe you'd fancy a crossbow, sir? Of delicate wood-make, imported from Sovaria. The whole lot's sixty gold coins, sir."
"Crowbar? Sure mate. Gimme a fiver and the thing's all yours. Oh, and the lockpick over there sells for ten. Or twenty. Go ask the bloke who owns it."
The rider chuckled to himself, as he blew all his power away. The richies here had fat purses, but nary an eye for pickpockets he had seen or sensed. Well, besides the townsfolk's pockets he'd heard that only the castle had anything worth pinching, but the guard could have surely doubled in the last hour or so. But to hell with that. He needed money.
He rounded over to the back of the castle, avoiding the guardhouse. He stayed hidden, concealed in a bush. When he was sure nobody was there, he leapt up onto the wall, and scaled it. He went for the nearest window. Coming out of it were strange smells, and the bubbling sound of brewing potions. It piqued his curiosity very much, so he took out his new crowbar and silently wedged it open. He put one delicate boot inside. Then the other. It appeared to him that he had stepped inside a wizard's room. Hmm. He snatched a few bottles of mysterious liquid from their clamps, then quietly continued on to pry open the golden chests.

"Of course milady. If that is what you wish." Isaiah knew how much Lorelai loved to ride and he was a sworn knight, it was his duty to provide her with whatever she wished.

Lorelai smiled and went to get a saddle. She put in on the golden mare, pulling the straps just right. Some of the maids who had come to check on Lorelai gave her a disapproving look just before she mounted her horse. "Side saddle. I know." She said, trying not to roll her eyes. Climbing atop the golden horse, named Freya, she sat with both legs on one side and waited for Isiah. "You lead the way, it's been a while since I've traveled into the forest."

The queen nodded and took his hand "Well things are different for me this month" she sighed and watched lori and isiaj with there horses, she was.a little envious but she didnt mind it. The queen smiled at her friend and waved to Isiah as they road off

Isaiah climbed onto Midas' back and stroked his jet-black fur. The horse seemed eager to get some reL riding done. "Of course princess, follow me." Just like that they took off in the direction of the forest, keeping a pace that would make them easy to follow.

Freya and Lorelai kept up and as soon as they passed over the ridge Lori sighed with relief as she sat in a normal seated position. "If you tell the maids i did this I'll put mice in your bed." She said with a grin and waited for him to lead again.

Isaiah smiled. "Your secret is safe with me." He and Midas took up the lead again as they neared the forest. The ride was making him very nostalgic of when the old king was alive and he wasn't even a knight yet. "Did you know it was your father who taught me to ride?"

Irena is quite annoyed now that her knight has gone off with the princess, although it was good to see Lori getting out enjoying herself for once. the Queen was quite happy that she had the time she had with her friend and though she was a dragon she felt no different from who she was and who she is now. " so why are you here, it's not like you to show up unannounced" she remembered what happened last night are changing into a dragon it was very scary but she didn't really mind it much

"Different? That's a very vague answer... Are you hiding something? Perhaps something to do with the increased guard?"
Looking around, he assured himself there wasn't anyone nearby. Satisfied that they were alone, his voice dropped to a whisper. "Have you made the transformation yet?"
