This universe is nowhere near related to the one in the manga besides the obvious, so there's no need to explain things.

Just say that he has it, or explain that he obtained it through some method or something.

After much thought, I decided that there wont be any reserving Manipulation Tengu, or anything of the sort. Considering how overpowered they are... yeah, they are something that are hard to have control over, considering by then at that point, most people will probably already have a Tengu.

Name: Ayaka Shibito

Age: 19

Gender: Female

Appearance/Description:

Personality: Labels placed upon things, declared as absolute truths, can only be met with the realization of their ultimate incorrectness. The first such label is "insanity." Abnormal mentality which causes a deviation from norms regarded as societally proper or humanistically "base," though this is an oversimplification. In other words, much of that which is Other and yet Same is deemed as "insane."

Trite.

For there exists the voice in the back of the head. The voice is constant. The voice is your own voice that speaks in reference to yourself. Those who are deaf do not hear words, even within their mind, but the voice exists all the same.

"Gah, I'm hungry, I should go make some food."

"Let's see, what do I need to do today?"

"Alright, just one more math problem."

"I could veer onto the sidewalk and kill that man right now, if I wanted to."

This voice is a constant aspect of the human condition. This voice is nothing to fear, because it is simply a means of the mind's self-reflection. That reflection allows man to consider, to deliberate, to reason. It is a perfectly beneficial faculty.

Nonetheless, it is said that talking to oneself is the first sign of madness, and answering oneself is the second. This is utterly nonsensical, one speaks to and answers oneself near-constantly, whether one recognizes it or not.

That raises a question, though. Insanity functions in regards to the "mind," the mind exists through the conduit of this voice. What then is the relationship between the voice and the nature of insanity?

Insanity is not hearing the voice. Insanity is not even listening to the voice when it tempts you towards the blackness.

Insanity is when you tear the skin off the voice and plaster it over yourself. When you cease to contemplate finitude and look to a futile apotheosis that makes itself symmetrical above the flesh of Man.

Insanity is when you make the voice silent, and act in its absence.

The playwright of the inner monologue has been silenced and his inkwell knocked over, so that the black may stain the pages before it in an utterly monstrous way. Do not try to mop up the ink, for the pages have already absorbed it. Do not try to stem the flow, for then it will sink into your body as well.

Why has the question this is meant to answer been avoided for so long? What sort of person is Ayaka Shibito? How does she think, act, and feel?

This is her mind.

This is her life.

There is no "personality," because the voice has been killed. There is merely the shell of a girl whose actions cannot even be called "actions," as they lack purpose. Emotion as a force of the soul exists, but it lacks a guiding force. A nuclear missile that still carries its payload, but is launched in a random direction. She is the girl who acts as any other, until she abruptly decides not to.

The girl who will greet you with the tip of a proverbial hat and a warm smile.

The girl who will idly laugh with friends, joking about trivial and meaningless topics.

The girl whose eyes will light up in joy upon receiving a new present.

The girl who will freeze up in shock, on the verge of tears when seeing a friend or family member injured.

The girl who will twist the knife in further, never dropping her grin.

Why would she not, after all?

It's not like there is a voice to stop her.

History: Born like any other human. Breathed like any other human. Walked like any other human. The child of a wealthy man and a beautiful woman, born to a privileged life in a small nation of Daerai. The typical wants of a child her age were satisfied. Material goods, companionship, familial love. All so very simple. All so very idyllic.

It is not that the true self was repressed, rather that it simply hadn't bothered to show its other portions. In that sense, Ayaka was a typical young girl.

An upbringing that barely requires noting. There was no traumatic incident that killed the mind's empathy, nor a strange accident, nor even a playground bully. There was merely that, a "normal" life, a "normal" childhood.

When she matured, she immigrated to the nation of Aaester, citing the justification for such as an experience that would grant better economic opportunity. In reality, it was for a far simpler reason.

In a land wrought by chaos, there is certain to be more fun.

Goals/Motive: "Let's make something fun happen."
Name: Unlimited Alteration Matrix: Enkidu.

Creation: Created as a Tengu meant for a unique combat style oriented around being "unpredictable," Enkidu was formed out a near-innumerable amount of human souls bound into river clay. Its body is simply that of "mud", with its gem of a core able to shift its position in the body's interior due to Enkidu's unique ability.

Type[b]: Biological

[b]Required Compatibility
: Unpredictability and exploitation. As Enkidu is meant to be a tool of infinite variation, it takes one who is not bound to a specific mode of thought to use him. While this sounds simple in theory, in practice it makes Enkidu nigh-incompatible with anyone regarded as normatively correct. In other words, it takes a being with "impossible" values, who melts into the state that society would deem insane and whose existence is of a chaos beyond human, to utilize his power.

Appearance:

Main Ability: Shapeshifting. The alteration of Enkidu's body. While shapeshifting is a standard capability for most Biological Tengu, Enkidu has been made with it as a specialty. For him, it has reached the stage where his shapeshifting can be called "limitless." Physically, spiritually, conceptually, even mentally, anything can be changed. This turns Enkidu into a fearsome force in combat, able to change from form to form such that the enemy struggles to create a cohesive strategy against him.

Hidden Ability: Presence Detection. The ability to create a complete disclosive sketch of all beings within a radius of .5 kilometers, in other words a sort of passive scrying mechanism that allows for an understanding of the enemy and the environment, to better aid with combat strategy. Regardless of complexity or status, anything can be analyzed.

How did your character obtain their Tengu?: En route to Aaestar, while crossing a river, Enkidu was activated upon passive detection of the presence of a compatible individual. The mud puppet rose out of the river clay, and pledged itself to Ayaka. Ayaka allowed his presence because she found him a suitable tool. The two have since traveled together.

Personality: An existence that sees itself as an autonomous tool, to be used by its master as they see for. Ultimately wishes for the betterment of mankind, but does not care to discover the methods of doing so himself.
Equipment/Assets:

Money: A relatively decent sum of money from the Shibito family, enough to survive on with little difficulty.

Coffee: Enough caffeinated powder to fuel a small army for months. This is of course an exaggeration, but nonetheless Ayaka carries a large supply of instant coffee on her person. The reason is unknown.

Mud: Several crates full of clay, lugged around by Enkidu. Ayaka elected to purchase it so that he could have a friend, though it does not seem to have served the desired purpose.
