Hi guys!
=D Nice to meet ya.
I PM-ed Kirra about joining Heroes, and she said I can go ahead and post my CS here. I look forward to working with you all if I'm accepted. ;)
General Bio Name: Callie Wright
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Appearance: “Nothing beats being a woman. The more feminine I look the happier I am.”
Callie has learned to ignore the people staring at her as she walks down the street. In fact it amuses her to learn that many assumed she is a runway model because of her height (5’9’’), hourglass figure, long, shapely legs and awesome sense of style. Deep down, she is secretly pleased whenever people comment about her good tastes. She feels that it confirms her belief that she has the knack of knowing what is in fashion and how to incorporate these new trends into her wardrobe.
Currently she has several fashionable sport-inspired pieces, a couple of printed tops and bottoms and color blocked dresses. Most of them were purchased in Europe though many of her makeup and accessories came from Korea. There a few odd trinkets from other countries as well. These tend to be more perennial pieces to help enhance her simpler tops which is often pairs with tailored capris pants or jeans. Naturally she has a tailored little black dress tucked in her wardrobe and couple of things from Mango, Zara and H&M.
Callie dresses up all the time because she enjoys experimenting with clothes and makeup. Most women who share the same interests tend to be insecure, but not Cal. She readily admits that she isn’t the prettiest woman underneath all that makeup, but she is extreme proud of her attractive features such as her electric blue eyes. Her confidence shines through whenever she smiles, which makes her appear even more charming. The warmth she exudes tends to draw people towards her.
Superpower Name of ability: Willie Wonkism
Description: “Taste the rainbow, feel the rainbow.” – Skittles
As far as abilities goes, Callie’s is the most comic. When she wills it, anything she touches will change into candy, but only the candy she has in mind. She can even double the amount of candy available. However she will need a lot of focus and mastery before she can create candy with enhanced physical properties, e.g. highly elastic bubble gum, extra fizzing rock candies or ultra-soft marshmallows. Hopefully her powers will do more than satisfy her insatiable sweet tooth.
Level one abilities:
Cal is able to change smaller objects into piles of candy. The biggest object she can transmute is perhaps a handgun or a commercial stapler (the type that can staple 20 pages at once). The types of candy she creates are rather limited. They tend to be hard candies such as skittles, m&ms, candy corn and sticky’s. Occasionally she can create gummy bears. She can increase the amount of candy present, but only to a certain amount, usually no more than an additional 400 pieces, which is the same number of skittles found in a standard 54 oz packet.
Level three abilities:
She is able to change bigger objects such as industrial kitchen tables and steel bookshelves into piles of candy. She will definitely struggle to transmute bigger objects. It would take her forever to try and convert a car into candy. At this level, her candy repertoire is limited by the types of candies she knows (i.e. if she has never eaten them before, she won’t be able to create them), and she has the ability to increase the amount of candy present by the crateful (limited to 2 crates). Callie is starting to be able to influence the property of the candy created. She still struggles to create candy out of nothing. It seems to be nearly impossible. Creating even the tiniest gum drop drains her.
Level five abilities:
Callie is able to create candy constructs out of existing material at hand. The biggest construct she can create is the size of a small car. Her imagination plays a huge role in determining what is crafted. The candy used can have up to two enhanced properties, though focusing one property always yield better results (i.e. the quality of the candy produced and the duration the construct lasts). The candy constructs will revert back to their original source material when she is exhausted. The maximum amount of candy she can duplicate is 1 ton, and takes forever to accomplish. Even at this level she struggles to create candy out of nothing. She has a slightly easier time creating the tiny gum drop, but that will be all she can do.
Weakness/drawback: (there might be more in the future) Drawback #1:
Callie is constantly forced to choose to either multiply the candy present or she can create candy from existing objects. For some reasons the skills, which are complementary in theory, cannot be used simultaneously. Perhaps more training is needed.
Drawback #2:
Cal’s sweet tooth is the key to her powers. She needs to eat an insane amount of sugar daily in order to maintain her ability. Abusing her powers doesn’t only exhaust her, but it also kills her sweet tooth. She would crave for salty snacks for long time before she begins binging on sugar again.
History"Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, a warm welcome aboard American Airlines Flight 6138 bound for New York. Our craft is under the command of Captain Jack Sparrow. He has informed me that our flight will be approximately 7 hours and 10 minutes. Please sit back and enjoy the safety demonstration, but please don’t hesitate to page me if you are craving for some candy.”
As some of you may have guessed – I’m an air hostess! I have been working for American Airlines for the last three years, and I love every moment. The fun doesn’t stop there. During my downtime I am freelance choreographer. I help people design new cheer routines and occasionally new dance routines. I doubt I want to be a full time choreographer in the future. It’s way too stressful! I just want to in touch with the current generation of cheer leaders, and inspire them to excel. Yeah, being cheerleading captain was probably the only thing I enjoyed about high school. I was super relieved when I gradated five years ago. No more studying! Definitely I am not cut out to be a college kid like my twin sister – Jan.
I heard she wants to be a lawyer in the future! Can you believe it? Me with a lawyer for a sister. I can’t believe we are actually identical twins. Shouldn’t we have more similar temperaments or something? No. Don’t answer that! At least I managed to convince her to wait part-time at Hooters so she isn’t completely reliant on our parents. We should be more independent since we are in our 20s. Let them focus on Georgie and Jade. ;) I am not asking her to work at the expense of her studies. Being the older of the two of us, and the only one working, I pay for the house and the groceries. <.< She owes me big time!
The Day before the Bus Ride
Blonde hair fell over her eyes as Callie leaned forward. She counted silently under her breath as she held that position for several counts. She exhaled one final time before pulling up and lifted her arms into the air. Her legs drew together till she was sitting cross-legged with soles of both feet touching each other. She bent her right arm so that her hand reached slightly below her shoulder blades while her left hand held onto the elbow. She repeated the same movement with her left arm. Finally the young woman got up and walked over and held onto the handle of her cupboard door. She lifted her left leg up as her left hand grabbed onto her ankle.
“Cal! I’m going now. See you at dinner.”
“Okay, Jan!” She yelled back to her twin as she relaxed.
Whistling quietly, Cal twisted back and forth, and then she held onto the railing and lifted her right leg. She released her leg and then jogged on the spot for several minutes. Satisfied she grabbed her sneakers and headed out the door. A couple of red and silver fringed pompoms rolled off the shoe rack, but she ignored them. She slammed the door after her. Five minutes later she dashed back and threw the door open. Shoots! Jan would flip if she noticed that. Cal quickly grabbed her half eaten packet of m&ms from her bedside table. Her eyes fell on her lemon yellow digital alarm clock. 7:45 am. Two hours before she has to leave home too. Taking public transport was gonna be a pain. Pfff! Jan had totally forgotten about her car. God damn it! Hopefully the sour-faced grump of a coach would love her proposed choreographed cheer routine! If all goes well she would be meeting the squad tomorrow afternoon to teach them their new routine.
Quotes:“Don’t be shitting me now. Come on! Where’s your fighting spirit?”
“Hey there, Georgie girl! Come give your big sis a hug!”
“Sugar cures everything. Throw away that Panadol and have skittles instead.”
