And almost no ranged support. Looking forward to that dragon doing strafing runs until we're melted piles of gooey flesh.

At least we know how we'll die. :P

The current head count seems to be at
1 Rogue
4 Warriors
3 Mages

Because of this I will not be accepting anymore warriors and only one more mage. I'm also putting the cap at ten players; if anything this is a bit high but I expect that as with any rp there's bound to be a couple of early dropouts

Don't know how it will fit into your story, but it may be a good idea to split this many players into separate parties doing separate things, I've never had experience with running a game with this many players so what do I know?

Meh, overloading is actually a fairly well practiced tactic most GM's, or at least I also use, due to the high number of in-actives that pretty much always crops up eventually. I usually did it with my D&D campaigns online and still ended up with 4 or 5 at most, out of eight or even on one occasion nine players having to start with.

I imagine if people do leave mid-game due to RL or what have you, they're PC's wont be exiting peacefully... :K

Something I already considered actually. Not all players will be turned into Wardens, so whoever gets lucky will likely be a squad leader. The only real thing I still haven't figured out is combat; I know it can be an issue with multiple players. I think my preference would be for players to collab on big fights rather than post a massive series of posts.

ah yes, I forgot.

I like your character but there are a couple of small things that bug me. She's an Orlesian, an elf and a mage, a combination that would cause her to be treated like filth, specially in Denerim. Your CS doesn't seem to reflect this though. Also seems unlikely that she would be able to serve the chantry and marry a templar without someone figuring out she was a mage. Also, what rebellion were you referring to? Other than this your character is fine.

Pyro V I'm not too sure on the sword; its not that I have any problem with the idea itself as much as the fact we would then have more sword using mages than staff using ones. If we get some more ranged characters this won't be so much of a problem though. Other than that your characters fine.

Fat Boy Kyle: Umm, would it be okay if my character uses his sword as a backup in case he ever runs out of mana/looses his staff?

Mage is probably died if he's relying on a sword at that point. :p

Hahahahaha, that's a bit of the point but my character is a stubborn one :P and it has a bit of a significance in his story

I just imagine it's easier to fight with a stick then a sword, probably why Donatello having spent the least time training in marital skills uses one. A sword takes years to learn to uses properly. But I'd think a swords allot better than using a knife. (not that fighting with stave is all that simple.)

On that note I'm probably going to add throwing axes to my characters arsenal if that's ok.

I like your character but there are a couple of small things that bug me.
1) She's an Orlesian an elf and a mage, a combination that would cause her to be treated like filth, specially in Denerim.
A) Scullery maid is the lowest of the low. The chantry accepts almost anyone as a Lay Sister. My original intention was for her to serve under an Orlesian Arl, but clearly my character isn't old enough for that. I will change it so that she will be 36 instead of 27
2) Also seems unlikely that she would be able to serve the chantry and marry a templar without someone figuring out she was a mage.
A) Due to the rebellion (which is Ferelden gaining independence lead by King Maric Theiren) diplomatic relations with Ferelden may not have allowed armed Templars to enter Ferelden (even at the Chantry's behest). The reason nobody found out my character was a Mage was because she herself had no idea. It took a demon for her to remember. However once the Rebellion had been won the Templars came and attacked her. As for when she beat them they didn't attack her again, I'm uncertain. She could be protected in the Alienage by the other elves but there is some time before that where she was vulnerable.

Well, I have to go do some stuff for University now, sorry, I'll finish this latter. And if the character seems a bit confusing, don't worry I'll explain it when I finish the bio.

@GrievousKhan: Absolutely, and you are right and I have a reason for my character having a -rudimentary- knowledge of swordplay which will be explained in the story.

To offset our complete lack of ranged support I've tweaked Faen a little, making him a crossbowman instead of an out and out swordsman.

That does bring up the question of how are you going to decide whether or not someone lives after the joining? A coin toss, a simple yay or nay, or some other way of deciding?

Was planning on only using the sword until I actually received a staff later on, seeing as the staves would be more powerful than the sword, since they were originally made to harness magical energy. After very early on in the RP, the sword would pretty much be a prop piece for Lucio rather than an actual combat weapon. I'd pretty much use it during the Harrowing, maybe a little after, but then that'd be it. If you still want, I can go ahead and start with a staff anyways, but I'd like the sword to stay, essentially for intimidation, prop, and any future story arcs with the Crows if anyone felt like doing it.

Plus carrying around a staff and dressed in robes just scream "MAGE" and we might want to go incognito until we can get a convincing cover. Sure we might not know how to use a sword, but would you think a mage would know how to use a sword? If he had one, would you think that he's a mage?

Well, since it seems my DA roleplay isn't developing much interest I'd like to give my attention to one that's in the same universe as mine. I will get a character sheet up shortly as the second watered down warrior, aka a rogue. Most likely as a Shadow.

I believe he will go with the time honored tradition of going to New Zealand and finding two hobbits kidnapping them and naming one Live and the other Die. He shall then give them each a rusty spoon and telling them kill the other and you shall be freeded. Whoever lives decides if you survive the joining or not. Then again that is not the most practical option is it?
