"Oh, I see," Hikari said with a smirk once she shifted and parried his attack, then forcing an attack through. She had a decent amount of speed and power, Hikari could see the talent within her and see that she wasn't taking it completely lightly atleast. Once the hilt was close to his throat he simply side-stepped the attack and poked at her side with his blade, she would notice an increase of speed and if he was to hit then it would have come out as just a graze on her side. He figured she had another way of going about not getting hit, which is why he increased his speed to see it.

It had already been a month since the seireitei got a new head captain. Central 46 was still in shambles. And everyone was trying to be stronger and stronger. Since then Gio had rearranged the training schedule of squad 5 in hopes to maximize efficiency despite their numbers. However Gio needed to be trained harder as well. So he took advantage of the current state of affairs and went to the Sect, to Train. The Eastern Branch of the Sect agreed to train him, and by train I mean shackle him with weight seals on his hands and legs and forbid him from using Kido as they ganged up on him.
Though brutal, it was only the beginning. The first few session were one on one or two on one fights in rapid succession and the people were clearly holding back. However by the end of the month, it was one against a dozen, with Shikai’s. It forced him to learn on his feet, and react. They drilled into him that there is more than technique in combat. Its cool to have some skills under your belt but it also helps if you make shit up on the fly. He also found out that a personal style was much more effective than an established or copied style. To this regard Giovanni practiced flying, since it was an ability granted to him in shikai it gave him an eclectic edge that he began to use as a part of his style. While he was grateful for the opportunity he wasn’t too fond of the fact that he wasn’t allowed to have the seals removed until after his training was done. Which meant he had to wear them as he trained with his squad and if he went on missions. It was a sweet release when they were removed, they method commonly used for speed and endurance training worked. He could honestly say 2 things. One fuck all of them. And 2, he was stronger for the training. He still had a ways to go in many things but he was able to talk away and further train his squad because of it.
Another method of training he used for training his men was Zanpakuto development. For those in squad 5 that had achieved their shikai on of their Zanjutsu days was dedicated to improving the use of their shikai. This involved fighting with the weapon, performing Jinzo, and even trying to creat a fighting style that worked for the weapon and wielder. It was here that he would take the steps to bond closer with his zanpakuto and encourage others to do the same. Bankai, would be the the ultimate goal of this procedure but it would be a long pursuit. A necessary pursuit according the new head captains standards.

He's not going to be in Hell forever, instead you should be the one taking his place! Hozumi may be a demon but he has a good heart! He belongs here with his mother and we belong within our Clan's walls." Souta jumped back, unsheathing his sword which shocked Fumio. The latter looked back at Souta before looking at the girl. Just before anyone could say or do anything, Fumio shunpo'ed and appeared beside Souta, grabbing the guy roughly by his arm. "Heh, I hope to never see you two again." The shinigami didn't panic. She shifted her lower body and twisted the Zanpakuto so that the blade twirled and smacked the man's sword just past her side. Had she not moved, she would have suffered that graze. In the same movement though, she whipped her sword out in a thrust towards the man's wrist.

That is interesting, her fighting style is different from most I've see. Seems based on reaction, and there has been allot of parrying. Seems focused on getting attacked though, rather than attacking them outright. Alright, let's try this then, Hikari thought before jumping back quickly avoiding the thrust. He held his Zanpakuto out with both hands and used Ryōdan, using Spirit Energy to back up his strength. He put in enough force that a parry from someone of her level simply wouldn't rival it causing it to just fail, or could it have simply been moved away like his other attacks. It would force her to do something different, or risk an injury that would take up her right shoulder and arm.

"I don't see why you did that Kazuhiko." Fumio crossed her arms before replying. "It was getting out of hand Souta." "Are you kidding me?" Souta turned around to look at Fumio, scowling. "So I'm supposed to not do anything! That girl and thing had something to do with Hozumi! After all the shit Aya went through, how could you just stand there and not do anything about it?!" Fumio eyed the anger in Souta's face, however his own was straight and calm as usual. "Souta, what did I say. You need to forget about her and her son. Ties with others only makes you weaker." This made Souta snap his head up. "What's that supposed to mean?! So with that theory, I'm making you weaker? Chie's making you weaker?! Is that really how you think Prince?!" "Yes and no. With you and Huerona, we're from the same Clan and have always been close until that event... You two give me strength... If it weren't for you two, I would of given up a long time ago.... However, with Chie, it's different..." "Different? How?! So you're aloud to care about her but I'm not aloud to give a shit about anyone?!" The woman stood still and let the attack come at her. Her mind was running a mile a minute as she analyzed the lieutenant's movements. Her eyes seemed as though they were glazing over.
As soon as she was sure that the man was committed to the attack, for the blade was nearly upon her, she ducked low and at an angle towards the man's body. She used his own direct attack as a blocking measure since the two handed attack meant that both of his arms were extended. Pass the arms, you pass the blade.
With their current positions, she struck out with the pointed hilt of her zanpakuto, aimed for his open kidney. Her free arm was placed directly between his elbow and her head, not touching him but there to take off the brunt of an elbow strike should it come. This was the meat of her style: a blend of zanjutsu and hakuda.

Looks like she's not dumb either, that was actually a pretty smart move, Hikari thought as he watched her duck and come up from his arms while attacking for his kidney and blocking his elbow. As speed and agility was pretty much his specialty Hikari did the next move with little effort. His attack landed before Hakura's and Hikari used the force from the blade to propel himself forward, he quickly brought his knees back and had jumped over Hakura's head. He could have easily got an attack on her spine by kicking his legs back but instead he just landed and turned around. Hikari sheathed his blade, "You're a good fighter, I like the mix between Hakuda and Zanjutsu, and the quick thinking. Welcome to Squad Ten Hakura."

When her managed to flip over her, she'd been anticipating an attack to her spine. Aa such, she rolled away rather than try blocking and brought her sword up and around in a defensive posture. She was nowhere as fast as him, but, she knew that arms and legs could only extend so far forward before they had to be used for landing.
She smiled widely at his words and bowed, "Thank you! I will work hard to further develop my style and speed." she forgot herself and have a fist pump, "Suck on that Councilmen! Haha! Oh uh..." she blushed and bowed again, "S-Sorry...i will do my best to be of use for the Squad."

Hikari smiled seeing how excited she got once he told her welcome, she then bowed with an apology which caused him to laugh, "No, you're fine! Show those councilmen who's boss whoever they may be!" Hikari said as he gave his own fist pump in support of her. He then dropped his arm as he put his hands together, sliding them in their opposite sleeves. "But if you want to be of use, what do you say a mission? Nothing too hard, but it won't be something to take lightly either. I'll be there with you, just in case you get into some trouble. It'll be for a good cause, plus you'll get expirence."

Haruka smiled happily then nodded. Her smile dimmed a little bit, "Clan Councilmen. They hardly like me becoming a Shinigami. But, I am the first in my family...so I hope I cam save some other girls some heartache." she perked up at the offer of a mission, "My first mission, already? What do we need to do, Shinrai-sama?" asked in obvious excitement.
