The only problem with America is their insistence on capitalism. Socialism is far better, and if we adhered to that, we'd have a cure for cancer like 4 years ago. The big drug companies found a cure already but wont sell it due to treatments just being so good, hence all those cure for cancer drives where good natured indie companies have to put their work into researching a cure.Btu thats just one of the many problems and flaws with a semi capitalist society.Assuming Socialism is what Teddy was, Teddy is one of my fav presidents. Also I do live in America, before you ask :P.

What is TWD?

The Walking Dead, a Zombie apocalypse drama.

Also Yog, waiting on you. Remember, Light's hand flew into your cyclone, and she'll be wanting it back :P.

Also, how would you guys balance a hero with Majin Buu levels of regeneration?

I'm talking about the episodic TellTale point and click adventure game based on the Walking Dead comic. Friggin' thing is an emotionally exhausting roller-coaster and I love it.

Never was too big on the TV series. Not my kind of thing, I suppose? To be fair, I haven't really given the series a chance either. Games and movies are more my kinda things.

EDIT: I actually like socialism in some extent. Capitalism too. Communism can be cool too. Almost anything can be cool so long you don't go to extremes. That's where I stand. Painful, annoying, bothersome neutrality in all things. And balance~

Just to make sure that everyone knows this, I really just don't give a crap.

I would say those levels of regeneration are far to high, I mean that even puts Wolverine to shame.

Have you played the Wolf among us by Telltale? Same setup as TWD, but set in the Vertigo comics Fables universe. Damn that's a good game. I lay awake at nights thinking about all the horribly wrong choices I made in that, cursing myself for making such mistakes. Never had that response to a video game, apart from maybe the Banner Saga.

Heck yeah, dude! Well I've heard of it. I've checked it out, but I've yet to find the money for actually buying the game itself. Haven't even spoiled much past episode 3.

Those choices are just brutal, yeah? Friggin' adore it. Not too many games have made me feel the way the new TellTale games do.

Yeah, they are really the masters of high emotional gaming. The Banner Saga is also good, but it's so grim it can sometimes induce apathy I found (And that's coming from a sworn cynic and pessimist)

Theres also a good trilogy of interactive novels on Steam I found called heroes rise. Playing those was the first time I've done an all nighter for a game in a looooong time.

Telltale is making a Borderlands game, that'll be fun! Now can they just invest some money on making a new game engine, seriously...

I looked into The Banner Saga. It really does sound interesting. I'll need to see if I'll find any money for it, buy it and play it and such. Not too sure on the idea of interactive novels in general, but I'll go see what Heroes Rise is about. Ya seem to have good taste, so maybe I'll like this one.

Not too sure on the Borderlands title, but it should be interesting. Aren't they working on something Game of Thrones too, or was that just a rumor? Can't remember anymore.

I think I'll be off to bed. This headache's getting worse so I need to close my eyes. Imma try and write a post tomorrow.

I guess you have to live in a Socialist country to begin to appreciate Capitalism :/
Australia is following a largely Socialist approach and is pulling some next-level bullshit, politically. They're currently looking at adopting a more Americanised health care system right now. Because, you know, walking into a doctor's office, paying $50 before you go in and getting $30 back once the appointment is finished is terrible. I have also never been more appreciative of the U.S Constitution. There is no explicit Freedom of Speech in Australia. There's barely Freedom of Political Speech. Anti-Sedition laws has been in place since the Howard Government, the current Abbot Govt. is is introducing anti-protest laws, are enacting plans to dredge areas of the Great Barrier Reef and states such as Queensland have introduced laws stating that if three or more people are riding motorbikes together, they can be pulled over and questioned under suspicion of being a gang. If three or more people who look like motorbike riders gather outside a court house to provide testimony, there have been instances where they have been arrested themselves for an 'illegal gathering' under the new laws.

There are also schools in Australia where cartwheels are banned due to Workplace Health and Safety guidelines and have been for nearly 6 years while the Australian Senate discusses bringing back Corporal Punishment in schools. Sure, someone washing dishes in Australia can get paid $17/hr, but the cost of living is unreal. Fuel alone costs costs over $1.50/L (at least $6/gallon). Look at anything that you can purchase in America and double the price and you'll have the cost of the same item in Australia. At least.

No, Socialism is all well and nice, but it comes with some pretty hefty costs.

Sorry for the long-winded post. Clearly I have my own thoughts on the matter.

Pfff... Everyone knows that the best form of society is a dictatorship.

Shame it always ends badly.

Indeed. The greatest form of governance is a dictatorship with good intentions.

I'd like to point out though that capitalism and socialism are not forms of government... they're forms of economy. Idk why you guys bring up communism and dictatorships when we're talking about economies.
