The silent sound of hissing reached the blind girls ears alerting her to the trouble. "Sh--!" As the gas settled over the area Keaira fell into a nightmare.

Above the city Terra gazed down her face covered in a gas mask. She watched the Hybrids fall one by one and she couldn't help but smile, the monsters that killed her sister would be destroyed. Preparing to jump she spotted the special forces moving in. "They're early." She cursed under her breath. She hadn't expected the gas mask wearing recovery unit to show for another three minutes, ruining her plans. "At the compound then." Being Trace's right hand had advantages.

The Hybrids were collected and brought into a facility far from the city. Only the ones deemed 'High threats' had been restrained, the rest were sat nicely in chairs that sat in a half circle around a singular chair. In the chair sat a woman in her mid thirties waiting, waiting for them to wake up.

(You may choose if you are a 'High threat' or not. Wether it be your powers or attitude they restrain you for. Also, Your character(s) are unaware of this but there are multiple rooms full of Hybrids.. Not all of us will make it out alive and the other rooms provide chances for new characters.)

Sonja woke up with a start. She was jailed up in a little cage. She spotted other hybrids, caged up more thoroughly. A chain was wrapped around her leg. "What the hell is going on?"

"We've been captured, dumbass. Us hybrids, we're done for." she saw a blond guy she didn't know in a different cage, with sharp claws on his hands and feet. "We're in the weakling chamber, the lame hybrids."

Sonja sighed with relief. "HELLO? HELP ME! HELP ME PLEASE! I don't belong here. I'm not a hybrid." She checked her pocket for her pistol and was relieved to find it still there.

Natasha woke up. Her hands were bound, and a heavy anklet was on her foot. She immediately started screaming. "LET ME OUT!" A 80 year old man suddenly roared angrily, and his lion body pawed at the ground. His hair was burning with electricity. A sign at the locked steel door in the chamber of hybrids read "WARNING: HIGH THREAT."

Natasha didn't know why someone would test an 80-year old man and supposed that whatever happened made him age faster in the first place. She hissed and looked at the chains binding her hands. She tried bracing the chain on the iron bars and ripping her hands out. No luck. She decided to pick the lock on the chain instead. She looked for soomething to pick it with.

Finally Natasha sat down and stared at her clawed feet. She used her claw to pick at the keyhole, but it failed. She took a pinfrom her hair and tried to pick the lock with that. The chainholding her lefthand opened. Relieved, She opened the other chain and looked at her little box, then felt her pocket for her weapon. It was there, like it had allways been.

Aqua woke slowly. She was slumped in a chair, she wasn't even restrained. Her eyes scanned the room, she hadn't moved. She saw many people in the room with her, only a few actually restrained, then her eyes landed on the only other person who appeared to be awake, a woman in her mid-thirties. Aqua didn't move her eyes were still partially closed, hopefully enough that the woman couldn't see that she was awake. She scanned as far as her current position would allow her and caught part of a familiar figure out of the corner of her eye, slumped on the ground. She shot into a sitting position, crying "arthur!" he didn't react but the woman seemed amused. "Arthur! Wake up!" the woman chuckled but didn't say anything, Aqua turned her anger on the woman "he's a horse, most of his vital organs are in his horse body, horses don't lie down, they can't the weight of their body crushes their insides, Arthur! Wake Up!" the man finally stirred "oh thank god" she returned her attention to the woman "where the hell are we?"

Lucius groggily awoke his hands chained to a wall behind him. He was dangling and as he drug his feet up he stood back against the wall observing his surroundings. Sonja was in a cage opposite him. "Sonja it appears we have run into complications do you want me to deal with them?" he said. His body was engulfed in flames as his clothing fell away in cinders and spines formed across him as his skin turned blood red. The chains melted and broke and he stomped across the floor at his monstrous height with horns flames and all. Stopping before Sonja he stomped on the chain holding her and shattered it then picked up the metal which immediately grew molten then formed into a sword. "He went from chair to chair breaking the chains then stood in the center and roared before turning to look at Sonja.

Keaira had been awake, listening, waiting for the right moment. She was simply placed in a chair with her head thrown back. She hear commotion of chains breaking and a girl screaming.

The woman chuckled and put her hands up in a half gesture of surrender. "Now, Now Lucius. I must ask that you refrain from destroying things. "If your friend agrees to leave her gun where it is she may go free from her bonds." Looking around the room her eyes stopped on Aqua. "Calm yourself Aqua. He will be fine." Again her eyes shifted, this time resting on Keaira. "Open your eyes darling. Your neck appears uncomfortable." The girl did as she was told and the woman sighed softly.
"I know you have many questions, but let me start slowly. My name is Commander Jamie Helm. I'm here to offer you peace. Peace between Hybrids and Humans."

Traces dark figure stalked into the room and stood behind the woman. His presence was much less peaceful then that of the woman's.

Sonja smiled, glad that Lucius was in the room. "Hah! All the hybrids in this room could skin you alive!" Sonja said. She aimed her pstol at the woman's head.

Natasha hissed at the thought. Peace? They want to save their own butts from their destruction. she thought. Suddenly her thoughts turned to a flashback, a time before the torture of testing. She was happy. She was human. Foolish. That's what I was. Natasha knew something was wrong. If they could knock out the entire hybrid population, they could kill them, too. They wanted something more.

Devon's eyes slowly opened. He looked up, unaware of what had happened. He was in a room filled with other hybrids, and it appeared he was the last one to wake up. He was covered in locks and latches, bandages covering most of his body. He started having groggy flashbacks. Fighting. Gas. He must have used to much of his blood, enough to cause brain damage. He glanced around the room. There was other hybrids that were heavily restrained there, the most heavily restrained included a boy with white hair who had his hands and feet secured, headphone-like devices covering his ears, a blindfold on, and his mouth turned down into a frown. Devon assumed he was awake at the occasional facial expressions that appeared. There was also a female figure that had her eyes blindfolded and she was tied up around the chest and waist. there were strange lumps on her back that could be seen through the bandages, and her hair was a silky pastel blue color.

Hanna woke up feeling numb. She wasnt restrained at all, but she also couldnt seem to remember most anything. She scanned her memory, and remembered the key details- the friends that went int the ruins with her never came out. She was quickly blamed for their murder and had been arrested and in the back of a police car when it happened. Everything started shaking as they were crossing a bridge, and everyone tarted floating for a few seconds, all the cars around then, the bridge itself even cracked upwards a bit. Then it all came crashing down at an alarming speed, crushing the bridge and smashing cars. Hanna wasnt badly injured, and she escaped through a broken window, running into the ruins right as the gas turned on. she instantly fell unconcious and was assumed a hybrid. She looked up, her memory mostly restored. There was a woman in the room, and a skinny teenager standing up. Everyone was already released fro their bonds.

Flames engulf the now quiet monster and dissipate leaving burns in a circle along the ground. The now human teenager stands naked before the woman with no shame. "Fuck your peace. Im the prince of darkness, the harbinger of your annihilation, and the ender of your world! All of you follow me if you wish to cast away the constraints of humanity and live in a world reborn!" he cried as he glared at the man behind the woman.

Natasha, glad to see such a powerful hybrid, did not waste time removing all the light from the man and woman's eyes. She imagined deep, dark shadows, a void that blinded them. The shadows formed an ugly monster, danced around and brought fear to its victims, being fear itself. With the thought of fear burning from shadows and darkness she pulled out her dagger, ready to attack.

Sonja aimed her pistol at the man and pulled the trigger. She didn't care if his blood and brains poured out. She wanted him to suffer. Its a shame, really, she thought to herself, that I'm fighting against my own kind. But with an army of hybrids, I might fine staying with them. Unfortunately, due to her horrible aim, the bullet left a nice hole in the wall.

Arthur finally stood, his already asthmatic breathing had been restricted by his little nap. He noticed immediately that Aqua was fuming he had only heard some of the word most of it was jumbled in his brain. He heard the woman speaking about peace, he snorted, Aqua's eyes turned to him and she looked concerned for a second, he flashed her a smile and she smiled too, in response to Lucius he called "Amen brother" he winked at the boy, Aqua chuckled and shook her head.

The voices around the room were blurred noises, words indistinguishable. There were metal braces holding his arms and legs to the chair he was seated in as well as across his torso. His eyes came into focus and his hearing soon followed. There were other hybrids in the room, some similarly bound as he was and others not bound at all. Rage allowed himself a smirk. They thought him dangerous. Good. One by one the other bound Hybrids broke their bonds or were freed by one in particular. The beast looked more like a demon than anything else as it resembled no creature he'd ever seen. And he thought he had it bad. Fire was its element apparently as it went about the room melting bonds on other Hybrids.

Rages bonds were cast aside and he stood, stretching. The taut, powerfully chorded muscles beneath his fur flexed and his joints popped. A low growl emanated from his throat as he rolled his shoulders and flexed his claws. This so called Prince of Darkness was a real windbag but if he was out for human blood then Rage was more than happy to accompany him. Some girl shot the wall and Rage guessed that she was aiming for the male behind the woman offering peace and missed. Poor marksmanship. He scoffed at this. "Peace.." the White Tiger spat on the floor. "Peace is a lie. There is no peace. You humans started this now you'll see it through to your bloody ends."

Sonja reloaded her pistol and shot again at the man, then aimed for te woman and shot at her too. She hoped that this time her aim wouldn't fail to dissapoint her. She backed away slowly, and bumped into the wall in the back of the room.

Natasha rolled her eyes at Sonja's missfire, although she knew that she had a lack of training anyway. She concentrated on the darkness in the man and woman's eyes, blinding them.

Hanna was terrified, she had no clue what was happening, and when the girl started firing, she screamed loud and clear. She didnt ask for this.

Devon was fuming at the girl's view on peace. he could hear her through speakers and could see the other room from a monitor on the wall. He was bound pretty tightly, he didnt think he could access any blood like this. He looked around observing his surroundings. Then he saw it. A girl was bound, and her head was slumped back, a small bloodstain on the wall behind her. They must have hit her head off the wall to knock her out. He focused his rage, and the bloodstain slowly started sizzling. He focused it to float over towards him, and then he ignited it, burning away the bonds on his hands. he used his hands to remove the rest of the bonds, and then stood up cautiously. He ran over first to the boy with the white hair, removing his headphones and whispering "don't attack me. I'm a hybrid, im gonna release you and we can all escape." The boy hummed in response. Devon removed the rest of his bonds, and then his gag and blindfold. The boy looked up at him with pale eyes, and he did not smile, he simply stood up and helped Devon release the others.
Devon released next the girl with blue hair, and was surpised when he removed the wrapping on her back and wings popped out, almost insect like. She wasnt very coherent, and she seemed dazed. The gas must be inhibiting her. She slumped back in the cold metal chair and mumbled sleepily. Devon then went on to release the other prisoners with the white haired boy. (Chance for any backup characters here, just say that Devon released them)

As bullets starting flying Aqua hurried over to Arthur, who lifted her up onto his back. they'd done this a few times before when in danger, Aqua can't exactly run, and Arthur's not too awesome at it either. so Arthur would let her ride him and Aqua sits leaning back, it actually balances him out more and allows him to move with better dexterity. he was still prone to stumbling at the most inopportune times, but it was better then nothing. as soon as there was an opening the pair shot past the humans, narrowly missing getting shot, and went through the door.

Alessia had been silently watching the whole situation and was a little peeved that Arthur and Aqua left without her, but she did have to think that she was literally avoiding them before. she had been bound but it had been released when the 'dark prince' or whatever had freed them all. she looked around the room, the girl shooting appear to have rather bad aim. her eyes stopped when she saw the hybrid she had seen earlier on the street, and when she saw him she remembered she'd fallen 2 floors but she didn't remember fitting anything and she didn't feel like she'd hurt herself, she might be part cat but an unconscious cat doesn't land on it's feet, did he catch her, his mutation was feline based as well, but far more progressed, he was also a big cat, she probably had the DNA of a tabby or something, maybe that's why her mutation was as drastic as his. she shook the thoughts away, that's something to figure out later, she turned her attention back to the 2 humans.

Trace grunted as the bullet nicked his shoulder and he slid out of the room watching two hybrids make their way down the hall. "Hey! Girl!" He knew that girl, this would be an interesting chance for some fun. Over the radio he had in his pocket he whisper. "Terra. South hall. Now."

The woman in the center laughed as the bullet blew through her and into the wall behind her. "Hologram hunny. You don't think I would put myself in danger until you knew I wasn't a threat would you?" Her laugh was genuine and settled into a smile. "I have a cure." She paused for affect. "A way for you to be free. To be healthy. " She looked around the room at the various faces. "It is your choice. A syrum, one simple injection and then peace and freedom.

Kearia listened to the woman her eyes going wide. "I'll take it!" She stood from her seat so fast she stumbled forward. "Make me human."

The woman smiled. "Excellent!"

Lucius

Lucius turned to kearia and snarled "How dare you! Foolish incompetent girl we have been given gifts and you want to throw it away. Fine then stay and die or live a dog amongst them." he sneered. Turning Lucius exited the room and grabbed the man from behind changing forms mid stride and blindsiding him throwing him into the wall in an impact hard enough to leave him unconscious. Then he stormed down the corridor to a door marked HIGH THREAT DETERMINED DO NOT ENTER. Lucius grabbed the door and ripped it out of the wall staring at the hybrids he found inside. He growled in a guttural malfested voice "Come with me brothers the rebellion has begun." turned and started walking down the corridor again.

Alfa
Alfa fell from his restraints after Devon let him out and popped his neck and knuckles. Just as he was about to suggest they find a way out the door was ripped of by a monstrous creature. Claiming to be a hybrid it stated that a revolution had begun. "A rebellion? good lets start some anarchy!" Alfa said electricity crackling around his claws. Following the monster out Alfa throws his hood down and puts his headphones on. As two guards come around the corner of the corridor with guns Alfa lets loose a bolt of thunder which arced between him and the first. The man was thrown backward into the wall leaving a visible bloodstain where he had hit and as he fell the mysterious hybrid quickly dispatched the other with his hands. Walking to the direct left of the giant hybrid Alfa let loose torrents of electrical current for long range and let the demonic looking beast do the rest.

Natasha grinned as Rage ripped open the hihh-threat doorway. She thought about the "medicine", and she knew that she dearly wanted to be human again. But she thought against it. A simple cure might take away my powers, but I'm still going to have nightmares every night. I'm still going to carry the pain of a test subject. "Rebellion!" she said. 2 guards came along and Alfa annialated them. A few more came and Natasha blinded them and slit their throats. She picked up a machine gun from one of the bodies and a box of bullets.

Sonja stared as a girl with multicolored feathered wings happily ran over to the woman for the cure. Lucius went and opened the high threat door yelling about rebellion. She nervously looked at her pistol. God help me survive this. She wasn't the best fighter (more like the worst) and as hybrids pulled out nice weapons she stared at her pistol.

Keaira cast a blind glance up at the voice. " I..I..I want to be human." Unsure of her footing she stood up slowly and stepped forward. "Where..is everyone going?"

The woman smiled. "I'm glad. Would anyone else like to take the syrum? It is entirely your choice. No one will force it upon you." The hologram disappeared but her voice stayed. "Follow the arrows in the hall if you wish to take part."

Keaira's face dropped into a frown and she mumbled. "How do I do that?"

Alessia had listened carefully to what the woman said and frankly she wanted to be human, she was fully aware that the serum might just kill her but she was willing to take the chance. she hadn't stood this entire time so when she finally did she staggered a little before regaining her balance. she crossed to the young girl, she knew immediatly that the child was blind. she took the girl's hand "i want to be human too" she looked at the floor "i'll lead you, if you let me"

Aqua and Arthur had heard the woman's announcement via the com system but neither cared, truthfully Aqua would like to be human again, but it had been so long since she had been. she could tell from Arthur's face he wasn't even considering it.
"it might work..." she started.
Arthur interrupted her with "not for me" he had even stopped galloping.
"why not" she asked, holding on tight,
he slowed some and said "because, the only way to fix my mutation would be to seperate my lower body from my upper body, and while i could survive that, i'd rather not try" he slowed to a halt and looked back at her "but if you want it..."
"no" she immediatly said "those bastards killed my sister, no way i'm taking anything they give me",
he started running again,"nice, now we're on the same page"
