The black limo pulled through the gates of the school, its windows tinted so dark nobody could look through them. It rolled to a stop at the curb. Two large men, clad in black suits, lumbered out of the limo, opened umbrellas and stood waiting. Another large man clad in a navy blue suit with his black hair slicked back, stepped out of the limo and adjusted his suit. Strolling around the side of the vehicle, he held his hand out to the final rider. A dainty hand grasped his as a young woman ducked out of the limo. She was tall and slight, standing up to the shoulders of the three men. As the group of four strolled towards the school entrance, the girl looped her arm through the man clad in navy. A black wide brimmed hat rested upon her head, giving her curled hair an added coverage from the rain that may slip through the protection of the two umbrellas. With the heels she wore now, the young woman probably stood about 6 foot 4, or so. Her normal stature being six foot.
"My little dove, I don't know what I will do without you." The man clad in navy blue said, breaking the silence. Smiling up at the man, the young woman replied. "Oh, father, you'll make do. Besides, you may always come visit me or vice versa. I'm only an ocean's flight away." She laughed at the face her father, Lawrence van Cryder, made and patted his arm reassuringly. He grumbled something under his breath, but the young woman paid him no mind. The doors were opened for them by the two other gentleman escorting them. Once safely inside the building, and out of the rain, Sabriel removed her hat and shook her long hair out. "I worry about you is all. I won't be there in time if anything were to happen to you." Lawrence said. Though he had trained Sabriel to be fierce and to handle her own, he had grown protective over the years. "Father, I have proven time and time again that I can handle myself. Besides, I've come prepared." She smiled wickedly and demonstrated how. Applying pressure to the front part of her heel on her left foot, she gave it a slight twist, and a three-pronged blade popped out the side of the toe of her heel with a deadly 'schlick' sound. She opened her clutch to reveal her two rapier blades.
Nodding his head as if he approved, Lawrence bent down and placed a kiss upon Sabriel's forehead and pulled her in for a quick hug. "Don't break too many hearts, my little Heart-Breaker." He said and nodded to the two other men. Sabriel quickly kissed the air beside the two men's cheeks, grinning wickedly as one of the men, Jaq, whispered in her ear. "Knock them dead, kid." Wiggling her fingers good-bye to the men, Sabriel turned to survey the area around her to get a good grasp on the school. Sheathing her heel's blade with a quick twist of her foot, Sabriel began strolling down the hallways. Her hands clasped behind her back, her hat clutched loosely between her fingers, she hummed to herself as she went exploring.
