I can host and manage a Steampunk NRP if this fails. I'm a reliable GM.Probably would ease up a few tech-limits.

Hey Rare, (and everyone else for that matter) chill.

Skylar, Syrian, and me were just discussing options incase you were inactive for to long. Nobody is trying to kill your babies or anything.

As for the rest of you. We need to chill it with the dramanomics. Seriously, we're just here to have fun and enjoy rping right? So let's take a breather and give Rare some time. If it takes a lot longer, then oh well. We organize something and get started. Let's cool down for a bit.

Never meant to be offensive, just meant to offer I was available. Sorry if I came off as something else Rare. My fault for being impatient.

Well, I see that someone is trying to shove me out. Well, Skylar, if you're going to make a Steampunk NRP, go ahead. I don't need anyone that can't wait a few hours or so and I'm for such wouldn't want anyone in my RP, that goes behind my back and stabs me. That's childish and rude as hell in my books. I was at school, in the 11th grade, and was busy learning about shit. Plus, I would never give up on a RP unless I have personal issues, which I don't have any. So will you all stop making a NRP, that you'll 'based' on my work. If you want a Co-GM, I already got one in my mind, I might just ask him if he is willing to take on the task. And, what do you all need to clarify? The timeline of tech would be . Go up to 1850 and that's where we are with the tech issue.

*Raises hands*

I surrender.

I'm busy, he's busy, she's busy, we're all busy. I appreciate you can't be around 24/7 to answer questions, but I mean, c'mon, you couldn't find half an hour in three days to check in on us?

Truth be told though, we had no idea if you were even paying attention. You've been active elsewhere, but left most of us in the dark and we've sat around waiting for some guidance. That concerns me. Not judging you or saying you're a terrible GM, as it appears that you are obviously busy; I'm just not sure if I'm comfortable being part of an RP where the main man/woman is gonna vanish for days on end without warning.

I'm not fuelling any argument here, I'm out. You wont hear a peep from me beyond this post, but I thought I'd better clarify why I'm leaving rather than just walk off without giving a reason. No one's at fault here, it's just my preference for GM availability, or maybe I'm a little impatient - if so, then I'm sorry.

Nor will I be making any steampunk NRP, or any other NRP for that matter, so don't worry about me hatching evil plans to poach your flock.

All the best, hope this gets off the ground and that you guys have a great time.

See y'all around.

Looks like rifled muskets might be the norm.

It might very well be the norm, but the option for needle guns is still there. I assume they'd be a bit more expensive than your average rifled musket, so you wouldn't be able to feasibly issue it to a couple million soldiers, but the option is there.

Just a suggestion Rare, would you like to appoint a co-GM to help out a little? I'm too busy for such a task, but I'm sure others would be more than willing to help if you needed it. I'm fine with a more meticulous pace and a slow start-up, but a co-GM could help things proceeded more smoothly. Just my two cents, I'd certainly understand if you don't want someone else interfering.

Edit: AspenIvan, I believe there's still a bit of room. Join the fun.

I probably should have elaborated a bit more. I was referring to the Dreyse needle-gun, or something akin to it. I was hoping to have Hetteland pioneer the development of something like this in recent history, if no-one has any issue with that. It'd be a relatively widespread idea by now, I imagine, though not too common in the flesh.

It's sad to see one of the better people in the group bailing.

Oh right, Kilo, is there any ETA on when a slightly less ridiculous Arkil NS will be up? I'd really love to see where you're going with them.

Oh cool! I would think that this would definitely be a great transition weapon for our time, with rifled muskets widespread, but these early bolt actions taking hold. Hetteland could definitely be a world leader in this modern firearm, with similar ideas or actual designs being developed and used by other nations. I like the idea

Ridiculous? My word! How dare you insult my flawlessly NS!

Joking aside. I will edit it once I get a new charger for laptop some time this week. I'll definitely remove the flying fortress and battle cruiser and probably edit the specs around and do more in depth history of each class development (I like my airships, can't ya tell?). Also some more minor stuff like the regular arsenal and things like that.

For now though, I'm stuck with my phone.

So the choice is three rounds a minute if your soldiers are good or a gun no one can aim and which jams after several shots in this period due to its numerous defects as its just being introduced. Lovely.

Given that rifles and muskets seem to be the better alternative here (Unless you aim to be up close to the enemy) probably time to put bright colonial uniforms back into my NS xD

If we're using civil war era rifles, then musket lines are probably going to be obsolete real fast. If I remember correctly, one of the big reason why civil war battles in America were so deadly was that the rifles they used were waaaaaaaay more accurate than the muskets, but as the saying goes, "fighting with today's weapons with yesterday's tactics" same reason why WWI was such a mess
