Scorn

The name that Eli had given Scorn made an evil grin creep across her face. So he had meant one of those she wanted to find. Little Kiera, her Discord. Strange though she would be with Eli, then again perhaps she never shared her escapades within the walls of Curdon Cay with him. Oh what a shock he would get if she told him but for now she would keep that information. It could be used to break her if Scorn found Kiera and she did not rejoin the Reapers.
"Sounds like she and I would get along quite well," she gave a slight laugh before continuing ",Like you said no one is perfect and despite people wanting a precious perfect world, evil will always be necessary. As for a plan well, I think that shall work out perfectly, but I doubt you'll avoid the spotlight. You know how rogues are, messy and hardly have a plan. At least this might draw out a few of my people of interests out of the wood works. As for trading information well, lets wait and see what we find. Now if you can forgive me, our little game is over. I have a dinner guest to attend to and I would hate to keep him waiting." With that Scorn shut the phone and returned to Kain's attention with a smile.

"Another one of my arranged conduit partnerships but a bit different from ours. Of course I think you might of actually met said conduit at the bar," She said ",Now where we in the conversation? Something about the meat's ranting? I don't care so much for religion but I know if I come from anywhere it definitely wasn't from heaven nor hell. I'm to evil for heaven and the devil himself would reject me for what I've done." She laughed on the thought and ate her meal.
"No indeed I'm not from either of those places," she said ",but I for one would disagree with our dear friend. If anything we are the product of evolution and we are the next step in that process while the humans are merely the remains of the last link. They fear death and change and need to know their place. Humans still have purpose though they must learn they are at our whim of control and mercy now which they can't handle."
After her short input on the subject she went back to her food and finished it up.

Eli put his phone away only leave the conversation with more question than answers. While that wasn't at all outside the norm. He couldn't help but feel that this time he let out more then he should have. Replaying the conversation in his head the only thing out of the ordinary was him mentioning the name Kiera, or rather the challenge he presented her. She and I would get a long quite well. Rolled over in his mind for a minute or the two. Did they know each other? Friends? Sisters? Lovers? Family? After a few quick moments he decided one or other knew each other. How became the question. More importantly was she going to come after her? Her coming after the girl would be a declaration of war he decided. Scorn was smart enough to not to bite off more then she chew. The syndicate on one end and him on the other would be too much even for her.

He needed to return his company. Return to his date and go back to the fun. His next big objective was to get a return date. Somewhere out in the open where he could see everything coming, he'd keep doing this until he either knew how the two were connected or Scorn was dealt with. Until then it was all about the charm.

He made his way back to the bar, though he left in a hurry he came back more relaxed and seemingly at easy. Making his way through the crowd and standing next a group of males. Each of them were plotting ways to vie for the affections of Kiera. He was far from surprised, as she was both fun and more than a little easy of the eyes. Before long he was standing next to her. "Sorry about that, I had to see a man about a broken jaw... DOG! Dog I says." Eli covered his pursed with two fingers and looked down for only a moment, like a small that just said something that he knew he shouldn't. Following that up with a smile. He wasn't sure if he was acting or of he really wanted another night out with her.

"So, is there anything I need to know about you before we sally forth in the wild blue yonder taking out Rouges and whatever else have you?" He was fishing for information but he was genuinely curious of her answer. Plus it was better to know that she had an adhorrence for killing now rather than late.

Kiera

While Eli had disappeared from the bar, Zeke had shared the recording with her. What the Syndicate were planning wasn't good and no doubt was made to make conduits look bad or to try and capture a few of them, but another grim thought crept up which was that it would attract the Reaper's. She wasn't sure how to feel about that, part of her wanted to fight them, the other part wanted to get her half sister back, and another part wanted the power again. The same power she had at Curdon Cay, to be able to wield the mask she had worn in the concrete prison and spread fear. The thought made her shiver.
She had been sipping on a drink when Eli finally returned. She had been ignoring the group of males around her. She wasn't in the mood to break someone's nose right then so she did her best to give them the cold shoulder. Zeke would usually be a help in this matter but he was dealing with customers. That was then Eli had magically reappeared next to her. It slightly surprised her and would of asked where he been if he hadn't blurted out where before she could speak. What he told her made her raise an eye. A broken dog? She had seen no dog. She shook her head though rather then push on the matter. Then he questioned her on anything he needed to know about her.

Besides on the sister of a homicidal psychopath with control of the biggest gang in New York? She thought to herself ,Oh and that I was once a part of it?
"Well I guess that depends on what you want to know," she replied with a shrug ",You are going to have to be somewhat more specific on what it is you want."

"That's a yes." Eli responded as he sat back in seat. "Two right here! He turned to a barmaid and shouted. "Aviation cocktails please." Turning back into he sight of Kiera. " You ought to love it, it tastes... Like spring time." Just as he finished the drinks came. Both in tall martininne glasses, almost velvet in color. A perfect balance of blue and purple, it was by all rights a brilliant and beautiful looking drink. Passing one to her. " Please do not leave me with a bag of shit to hold." He said sincerely. "Treat me good, I'll treat you better. Treat me bad, I'll trear you worse. You don't want to say anything fine, I get that. What I don't know might not hurt me but what I find out might get us both killed. Now we got all that out of the way drink!" He ended is lengthy expositions with a sip of the velvet ambrosia. He savored for moment and with a grin brought on by a tatse he loved and found memories of the drink he spoke in a soft almost warming tone. "Spring time."

TIMEJUMP-One Week, Jump to the date of supposed Syndicate attack shall take place

Scorn

Scorn was wandering around the museum bored out of her mind. She had come herself to take care of the supposed Syndicate attack that was rumored to happen today but after an hour of just wandering aimlessly, things began to get dull. She wanted action and chaos. The only thing that gave her slight interest in the museum was the conduit exhibit, an edition to the museum that was added in for a brief amount of time before the exhibit moved to another museum. What it contained was a treasure trove of knowledge that she liked. Such things as Cole's amp, borrowed from the town of New Marais, Cole's jacket that was rumored to even of been worn by Delsin Rowe, outfits of the original Reaper and Dustmen gangs in Empire City, the tar of the Infamous conduit called Sasha, and oh so much more.So much knowledge for her to have, to learn the mistakes of the foolish and weak infamous conduits and improve on what they did and learn what the dull goodie, hero conduits did to stop them and make sure that wouldn't happen to her. Of course with Kain at her side as well as her prodigy Sebastian, she was sure nothing would get in other way. Only thing she needed now was to destroy the Syndicate.

Kiera

Kiera was outside the museum, awaiting for Don Quixote to make his appearance. If they were going to stop the Syndicate's attack they might as well work as a team. She had rather grown to somewhat enjoy Eli's company even over the past week, even if he was dramatic at times. Yet part of her was only at the museum in hopes that Scorn would appear, she needed to tell her the truth, even with Eli there, she had a hunch that he knew she was with holding information of something from him. She never dared inviting him back to her place for fear of what he would learn with her investigation in hunting Scorn down. Then there was the dark past of what she was like while in Curdon Cay. Something she had always kept secret once she was released. No one need know who she was inside those cold walls of concrete. She shuddered and pushed those memories down, the past was the past, she had to focus on the now.

Vincent paced the museum, malice brooding inside his very core. He lusted for a good fight with the Syndicate, the rumor he heard of them attacking the museum was enough incentive for him to come to the museum and get a hand on one of them. Soon, soon he would have the fires searing this museum and the mark of Anarchy will scar this building, and soon it will scar all of New York. He left his personal weapon at home as museum security most likely wouldn't be forgiving if one walked into the exhibits with a machete. though some of the exhibits had some blunt weapons that may prove useful if a fight did break out. Especially with the words he's heard of the Reaper Queen. If she heard of this, no doubt she was here among the populace. Now if the Syndicate showed up, perhaps he could kill two birds with one stone. Most likely he can come out on top without much injury to himself. Scorn may be an asset, or a target, how that plays out...Is purely up to her actions toward him in the war zone of the future. Today begins a true war, and Vincent loved it when shit got heated.

Eli looked at his watch, he was running a few minutes late for the meeting with Kiera. He sighed before saying anything. "Well, I need to get going on this foolhardy sally." His friend spoke up soon after. "It's a shame that she didn't listen to you and let the Reapers handle it." His friend said with a half cocked grin. The two were pretty close, living as roommates and close confidants. Eli told him a lot but he never said anything about his connection to the Reapers an Scorn. It was a really big source of income for the both of them. His friend knew Eli well enough to know that he was hiding something. Eli's utter disgust was more than to let him know something was eating at him whenever he came home with a giant pile of money. His friend could two and two together well enough.

"I never said it was the Reapers or Scorn." Eli said as he got from his chair looking out of the window. "Get ready to move everything to the next safe house. Kiera has been here enough over the past week for someone to get a bead on us." This was one of many that he had all over the city. All of them were fully furnished and stocked. Everything they needed could be packed up and moved in a couple of hours. This wasn't the nicest safe house they had but it was one of the nicer one. "I'll have everything moved before you get back. How about the penthouse for the next month or so?"

"Yeah that'll work. Let's go see what bag of shit I have to hold." Eli picked up his metal staff, this one was short, maybe five feet or so. It was without a doubt his favorite. Made of damascus steel, it was beautiful and elegant. It has no place in combat but Eli could never help himself from taking it out. "She's hiding something from you, know you. Really hot though. You should try not to fuck this one up dude. She's starting to like you." Eli's friend said while tossing a dirty shirt at Eli's face. "Fuck off, jack ass!" Eli let out a chuckle as he jumped out of a third story window and flew off, his staff under his feet. In less than ten minutes he was at his destination. "Dulcinea, its been an age!" Eli shouted as he landed. "Shall we sally forth and wait to make international headlines defending and ultimately destroying billions of dollars in history?"

Kiera

Kiera smiled and shook her head hearing Eli as he landed ",We might as well go forth, for who else shall do it but not us? Come on Don Quixote, I've all ready got us access. Just remember to only break the really valuable stuff or else we won't ever reach that billion dollar mark," Kiera joked taking his arm and pulling him inside. Once inside she could only guess where the Syndicate could strike. Well she figured they would just have to tour the museum, there was no reason they couldn't have a little fun while waiting for all of hell to break loose, plus maybe she could spot Scorn early. She highly doubted the Reaper leader would miss a chance to take on the Syndicate even in a public location as the museum. Death and destruction wouldn't matter to Scorn and ultimately it could matter to Kiera either. She knew that this fight wasn't going to end with no injuries and even some would die but that would be the consequences to stop the organization of the Syndicate as well as the Reapers. The price of the many outweigh those that would be lost.

He couldn't help but smile as soon as she grabbed him. He looked to his right and saw a group of kids in their early twenties or late teens. "Be jealous! Jealous I sez!" As they entered the building he caught Kiera shooting him a look. "What? I'm me and I'm jelly of me. I have a smoking hot conduit taking me into a grand institution of learning, all the attempting to save an entire species of people. That and I'm a conduit to? This is like the most bad ass movie ever." The moment his speech was over he ended it an abrupt change in demeanor. Adjusting himself so that their arms were interlocked, his chest was out and placed a hand over hers. In a few seconds he went from a loveable rouge to a man fit for southern gentility. Even the way he walked change, a complete and total transformation.

With a gentle manner he guided them to an early man exhibit. It was one of his favorites, to be able to look back in the past, and see how far humanity has come. Even though he didn't think they were so far removed as the rest of the world thought they were. In his they still couldn't get a long with one another and put aside differences such as race, gender, and creed. A new stronger breed as now come and he was apart of them, so he and the rest of his people were feared and wanted dead for their powers and differences. That didn't sound all that advanced to him. Yet he didn't blame them, how could he? He'd be scared just as much if not more.

"This is one of my favorite exhibits. To be able to see the growth of mankind from what we used to be to what we have become is stunningly beautiful. It's... Almost scary to see what we have become." He patted her once or twice as if to end the his state. "Shall we go forth on our next sally. For is it not the duty of a Knight Errant to see the beauty of this, my Dulcinea is upheld and honored the way customs dictates? For her beauty is not just of the body but of the mind, spirit and soul." His words were spoken sweetly, with a slight southern drawl. A darwl that sounded it like could have been natural. Even while speaking words that sounded like his mind was only on her, but his mind was elsewhere. His head was on a swivel, looking for something that gave him an uneasy feeling. He searched till he found a group of kids. These kids caused him to both swell with pride and joy, as well as shrink with fear and worry.

Each of them happy to be there, their ages ranging from elementary school too late high school. They were from an orphanage that he supported. His reasons were more selfish than anything else. It not only made him feel good but it was a great place to stash and launder cash. Plus if it ever got out that he did this it'd ruin his reputation and give him a weakness. Kiera was already a known weakness he couldn't have those kids involved as well. He looked at them longer than he should, wishing he could talk to them but it was a bad idea. "Let us sally forth Dulcena." He wanted out of that exhibit before he was caught by those kids.

Every since her time in Curdun Cay, Merry stopped sleeping laying down in a bed. Instead, she emulated her time in her cell. A web of wires stretched around the apartment she claimed as her own it spanned down hallways and through every room. Her bed, if it could even be called that, was a section of a room completely covered by a web of wires. In a way she can connect herself into the webs, sleeping as if the wires were a pod. Merry finds great comfort in the wires, they work as connectors through her entire house and ever parts of the city. She can feel through them. However, she was currently not sleeping. It was daytime to her knowledge.

Merry crept around her home, the whole place cold and dark as if it was a cave of wire. She moved effortlessly though the wires as they moved out of the way for her. She made her way to the balcony, the only way for her to get fresh air and sunshine. She looked down over the city with a slight frown. Every day things got more and more violent between the human and the bio terrorists. Merry began to climb up the web of wires to the roof of the building. The sheer height of the building didn't seem to scare the young conduit. And neither did the fear of being attacked ever cross her mind.

She had heard about the recent attacks, the recent murders. But these did little to phase her. The two groups, on either extreme of existence, didn't seem to be doing anything other then take whacks at each other. As long as Merry didn't get involved she should be safe. And safe she had been since the evacuation of Curdun Cay. The first thing she had done was mooch her way into New York. She had overheard some other conduits saying it was a safe place to go. And on the way she got herself some new clothes, and some money by pulling a lame 'My mommie and I need money” line to every person who walked by. Sometimes she would get lucky and people would place money in her outstretched hands.

Sometimes she got lonely. Actually it was more then sometimes. Practically every time Merry took a step back and realized how quiet it was she felt alone. So she was always playing music, or watching sometimes on an old television she plugged into a bunch of wires. She would watch old movies and eat whatever bags of chips or sandwiches she could scrounge up for the day. And watching movies almost took her away from this world and into theirs.

Kiera

Kiera didn't take notice of Eli's reaction to the kids and merely thought it was him wanting to move on to another exhibit. After all he never seemed to be one to stand still long enough, always somewhere to be. She was curious of what exactly he did but didn't pry much into his personal life since she had found herself enjoying his company and didn't want to rush things or put her nose in where it didn't belong. Plus she had secrets herself she had yet to reveal and worried about it most of the time she was with Eli. How would she ever explain the truth to him without having him hate her and turning her away? She pushed the thought aside giving Eli a smile as he called her by his given nickname.
"Yes indeed Don Quixote those giants shall not take care of themselves," she said with a laugh following him yet something caught her eye that made her stop cold. It was her. Kiera had expected to see her at the museum yet she didn't expect to see her until the chaos began but there she was. She wasn't in her usual attire, the facepaint and orange hoodie with a skull on it but she knew her face. It was Scorn and she was looking right back at her. She gave a twisted grin and slight wave. Before Kiera could respond, a group of people had passed by and when Kiera was able to see where Scorn had been, she wasn't there anymore, as if vanishing without a trace.
"Sorry I thought I saw an exhibit I wanted to see," she quickly said to Eli in case he had noticed her stop and hoped he hadn't noticed her.

Scorn

So Discord was at the museum. Interesting indeed though she wasn't wearing her mask which was odd. She always wore it in the confines of Curdon Cay but then again this was a museum and a public place. Plus she was dressed as an average citizen so perhaps it was all a disguise as well until the fighting happen. Oh what stories they would have to share together. Scorn wondered what evil her second in command had been up to after Curdon Cay. Scorn had been trying to find her for ages and now here she was, soon they could reunite like one big happy twisted family.

"Shit!" He said under his breath, there was a tint of anger to his word as well. It wasn't meant for anyone to hear, it wasn't even meant to be said but it slipped out. The kids were still there and now a battle was about to break out? No, it was too soon, to... wrong. He couldn't help me himself. His heart was thumping out of his chest and a sinking feeling entered his gut. He stopped as well, a sour look on his face. "I'm know I am going to regret this in the morning.... Come on Kiera." He rubbed his face and let out a sigh. He knew this was a horrible idea but it couldn't be helped at this point, he had to do the right thing.

With Kiera in tow, he ran back into the exhibit and loudly proclaimed greetings to the kids that he deeply cared about. "Hello there children!" Like a cult leader beckoning his followers, the younger members of the group ran to towards him in joy. He kneeled and opened his arms up. They ran into his outstretched arms and smiles on each of their faces. There may have been four of them but it was it looked like a mob had just jumped on Eli. The rest of them were in their early to late teens, another six of them in total. After exchanging pleasantries with the four that had knocked him over Eli quickly got to his feet. Eli was smiling and laughing like an idiot. It was for him, like a little piece of Heaven on Earth. "Have y'all been actin right?" His accent gave way to a southern tone. "Yeeah." All four of them said in near unison. "Awesome." Eli was enthusiastic in his tone. "Why not give me and them look outs time for a little talk and y'all can go on for some ice cream." Eli said waving over the two eldest members of the group. One male and a female, both looked to be in their late teens to early twenties. All but the two eldest were ushered away by other members of the group, in the back of his mind he had hoped that Kiera would join them in exploration of the exhibits. That was as much thought as he gave her.

"Get'em outta here. Now. This ain't up for debate." Eli's voice was stern, gone was the cherry way he was talking to the kids. Now was time to get them out of there. Eli pulled a large wad of money. He didn't bother counting the amount, that wasn't important. "Go take em to some ice cream anywhere that ain't here. Am I clear?" Eli was emphatic in his words. "We can help you, let us do something." The male protested "I don't need any help, there is no one in this city that I can't take. That includes Scorn and her fuckin ilk. I can't do that if I have to worry about these kids. Take them shopping, get em food, I don't give a shit just get em gone." Eli was growing angry and it was showing. "Fine!" Stated the male with the girl looking just as unhappy as her male counterpart. "It's about to get bad around here. This isn't about what you can or can't do. This is about them kids and keeping them safe. They ought not to have to see what's gonna happen here." Eli rubbed his head and walked back to the kids who were now with Kiera. "How goes it here kids." He said in a mock joyful tone, trying to smile but it wasn't working out all that well.

"Are they here yet," A voice asked behind the man sitting in front of several television screens.
"Yes, what now?" the man asked the voice that was behind him, a green glow shining on the back of his head.
"Keep an eye on them, we shall be preparing the surprise for them. Soon the world shall see why Conduits need to be... controlled," the voice said, the green light disappearing, leaving the man alone watching several people who had entered the museum.

Kiera

While Eli had been rounding up the kids, Kiera had been shifting her gaze to through the crowds of people, in an effort to spot Scorn again but to no avail. Her heart hammered in her chest now wondering what would happen if she approached her. Eli didn't know the truth, what would happen if he found out? How would he react? Would he hate her? These questions and hundreds of others rushed through her head all the while as she scanned the crowds but could not find her. She kept a false small as she looked around to keep Eli from suspecting her sudden change in mood but she didn't feel she was doing to well, it didn't help that she knew Eli was faking his own smile he was giving her. Things would soon get ugly fast and the clock was slowly ticking out of time.

Scorn

"I'm late, I'm late for a very important date," Scorn sang cheerily to herself with a slight skip in her step as she wandered around the museum, waiting patiently for the chaos. Her men were ready, she had them stationed in strategic positions around the museum, inside and out. She doubted even the Syndicate had planned for that and if they did well it would show at least she wasn't someone to take lightly. What made her mood better was finding out that Discord was alive and well and how much she dearly wanted her second in command back by her side. They had been good friends in Curdon Cay and she didn't think that had changed all this time now. She did find it funny how much they looked alike but hardly payed much attention to the fact pack in Curdon Cay. Could of been just a mere coincidence.

"I quit."

"You... quit?"

James stood at the table, a large duffel bag resting on top with all his things inside. He didn't bring much; he never had that much he chose to bring in the first place. His boss, Rob, stood in the doorway, eyebrows furrowed in disbelief. He was losing his greatest asset to the team. They stared for what seemed like a while before James moved again, smiling as he placed the last of his things into the bag. "Yeah," he stated, a sense of completion in his voice. "I quit."

Rob was concerned. "But, why, James?"

"It's just..." James trailed off for a moment, thinking about what he said during his times at the radio station. Ever since the rise of the Syndicate, people poked and prodded at him for an opinion, a voice of opposition against the coming tyranny, as if his voice was going to be the one to give them courage. He knew better. They'd need something more than courage to stand against a group that dangerous. They'd need to be a Conduit.

"Look," James replied, zipping up the duffel bag and slinging it over his shoulder. "This place is great. You guys are great; the best I could've hoped for, but my time here is done. I've got to move on." He walked past Rob into the hallway, only getting a few more steps before his boss turned and addressed him again.

"It's the Syndicate, isn't it?"

James stopped in the middle of the hallway, looking at the floor. Rob moved forward and grabbed his ex-employee by the shoulder. "I know you're scared, James. I am, too. Ever since they showed their face, a lot of people have been terrified of what could happen, but if the Conduits would step up and face these monsters, then we all might have chance at surviving."

James thought about the Syndicate, the Rogue Conduits, and the ones like himself that were simply just trying to get by. Curdun Cay rocked them all pretty hard, he was sure. Having been trained by Augustine, and for what? Domination? Fear? Destruction?

"I'll see you around, Rob. Try not to sing the radio station into the ground. We both know you're not the greatest." They both shared a laugh at the joke; whether or not it was the last, James didn't know, but as he left the station, he was left wondering how the city, and the lives within, would be shaped over the coming days.

He found himself on his couch the next day, the time passing him by unknowingly. He halfmindedly plucked the strings on his guitar, staring up at the ceiling and thinking about nothing in particular. The Syndicate threat was rising, and he didn't know where. Supposing it was a much worse decision, James rose from the couch and decided to go sightseeing once again. In a few months' time, he had been fortunate enough to witness some pretty neat things during his travels around New York City, but there were still many things left unseen. One such attraction that had been on his mind was the Museum of Natural History.

It wasn't long before he was standing in the main lobby, a cone filled with strawberry ice cream in his hand and a pair of headphones on his ears, like always. He sung quietly to himself, pausing every so often to lap at the dessert he held. Looking around, he started walking, taking in various exhibits with a smile.

His footsteps echoed off the walls of the hall below the hundreds of feet above him. Soon those above would see why Conduits had to be controlled and exterminated. The Reapers were a good start but with the Reapers mostly targeting them, it was tough to show the public their exploits without revealing their own. All they could do was try to crush the gang before they got out of hand.
He continued down the secret hall eventually coming to a room with several other green helmet comrades, all sorrounding a cage shrouded in darkness.
"We ready?" he asked in a deep voice. One of them came forward.
"Affirmative. Project Sandstorm is ready. Give the command and we shall release it," the other man said holding out a button that would open the cage.
For a brief moment the leader felt guilt f or what he was about to do. There would be innocent blood spilled in this plan but it was necessary blood, their sacrifice shall not be in vain. In their lost, they would help in the progress of the Syndicate.
"Then project Sandstorm is a go," he said with a cruel smug evil grin under the helmet, clicking the button. The cage opened to reveal a man but not just any man. This man was a conduit, the Syndicate's enemy. It was ironic that in order for them to go forward with their plans the Syndicate needed the conduits to help them. The conduit opened his eyes, which were heavily bloodshot.
The leader of the group bent forward to the man."Now go and cause some chaos my pet," he said smugly. The conduit without a blink of his eyes stood up and then disappeared as a pile of sand and flew out heading for the entrance that would lead above to the museum.
"Let the chaos begin," he added then turned to the group ",You shall remain and take the sandman's abilities away once enough damage is done but be warned, the Reapers might come and we can't afford another captured Syndicate member." They nodded and left the leader alone to wait.
Up above the people were oblivious of the impending doom they would soon face. It was business as usual, all up until the ground began to shake beneath the museum goers. Then the floor burst beneath a group of goers knocking people all around, the sand conduit bursting forth and attacking everything in site, inanimate objects and people. The museum burst into pandemonium as people trampled one another to escape the attack. Some would never make it out and they would become one with the other relics that now were in the museum.

((I'll have a post up for Scorn and Kiera later, unfortunately I screwed up and lost their stuff but I wanted to get the chaos stuff started))

When the floor got ripped up nearby, Vincent instinctively threw up some flames to hopefully ward off the impending sand blast. Then he saw him at the epicenter, the one controlling it. Another Rogue Conduit, but something bothered Vincent. The Conduit had no attack pattern, a Bio-Terrorist like him would have set targets, thicker populated exhibits, concession stands. Something, but he had no focus, then it hit him like a freight train, this was the Syndicate's plan! They were gonna use their most hated enemy to bring about its own demise. He chuckled, they would be fun to fight one on one, but he shook his head, this slob of a fighter would have to do. So he willed every ounce of heat he could draw into his body, letting it fuel him, letting the energy make him feel alive, his heart raced like mad as he did this. The heat was like adrenaline, making his heart pound, making his mind focus on the Conduit. Soon the flames crawled along his limbs, crackling away at the specks of sand that danced near him, creating grains of glass that would most likely turn to a pile of glass soon, but he didn't care. He wanted a damned fight and this idiot was gonna provide one, and it'd better be worth his time. He brought the flames into his palms and got ready to pelt the shithead with enough fire to raze half a city block to dust and bones. He kept heating himself up, raring for the fight, all he wanted was the eye contact. Then this would hit the fan and this shit would get fucking heated to the best party of the fucking century!
