Fair enough. I simply suggested the mace as I'd entirely forgotten it existed at the point I was making the character. There are martial arts skills that no-one has specialised in too if that interested anyone although I understand that may not fit with the little sister archetype.

Level up - Don't know still need to think about it

Um.. 9 slain in a post, was it all at once? Because that is unreasonable at low levels.
If you take your time to slay between each. Um... time will vary from like 30 minutes to an hour depending on the circumstance of waiting, spawn times and the fact that resources are getting limited in the first floor of SAO. Possibly more than an hour due to the waiting.

(However, Umichi at this point is so over-powered he takes on like 20 at once one shotting? I don't know. I think I went overboard, need to tone down. But his like level 13 compared to the Ruin Kobold Troopers at level 6, and he has an Anneal Blade, best weapon on the lower floors, enhanced to the max.
.....
Yeah my character so is not balanced. Lol He will balance out later, probably.)

Anyway, I can only say if I have a problem with your post after reading it. Generally speaking things should be fine

In terms of the martial arts, probably won't specialize. And would need to wait for second floor to get it anyway.

I'm happy to have relation to ninja's new character (if it were related cousin would work best) feel free to stick her into our location and tag with us even if no blood relation, with okibi being the protective sort he is he would be fine having a 'little sister' sort of character. As for good weapons for her perhaps go mainly throwing weapons? or perhaps a shortsword as thats a good small weapon, or if you wanted daggers why not try a sai, practically a dagger but can catch other weapons in it and looks kinda different. if you went for blunt weapons go with a small hammer though that'd be more a DIY tool than a weapon XD

All in all not sure what small weapons aren't in use if you wanted something unique but i guess you could go like potentially pure throwing weapons? could be interesting to have a pure ranged user

Also in regards to levelling on the website it has monster exp values so i guess work out how much exp from what you've killed to be able to see what level you've gotten to

Yep, there is exp for monsters
Although, you don't need to be exact with the exp, just approximates are fine.

Eh.... pure ranged ... not going to be fun, plus <<Blade Throwing>> is known to be a weaker skill and not really going to do much damage.
With the sai ....
Does that mean more sword skills to come up with? T.T
Or, maybe the sai is an extra skill to the dagger, just as katana is supposed to be for the one hand curved sword
Well, I'll figure something out later

I didn't mean fighting them at the same time
1 mob at a time plus, the spawn rate wouldn't be as harsh on me since most players have moved on from boars after 2 week...I presume
And those that haven't well they'll be hidden inside the city

So basically it's just me and probably some others I haven't meet at the time fields are f* large

This considered I kinda have my pick of monsters...

You'll have to fight me for the boars ;) because me and hail have been farming boars for 2 weeks... because my characters was like 'we should be a good level before questing so we don't fucking die'

That consideration probably isn't the best for this stage
Although it's fine, since it's a story we are making collaboratively

I believe that for a solid month there would be a great number of people still picking on the boars and wolves around the Starting Town, since two main things. Majority of the start, players stuck there will be picking clean the fields, with hundreds of others, their leveling will be slow. Most people will continue this till they are at a comfortable level. They probably get about one boar every few hundred that spawn due to the number of people in the area, and probably have a spawn rate that would take a while to get that few hundred will be a while. So, people won't be leveling that fast for a good period of time before moving on, excluding those that moved on first. This could last a few weeks, and then as they move on, essentially a new group of hundreds of people would take over to essentially repeat. Of course not everyone would follow this pattern, but still.

That's just how I analyse the situation working out.
But this might not be true, and also, things don't always turn out that way.
Anyway, it's your choice how you move on, but if it goes too far, then I will be questioning the post here in the OOC (as I did with Jangel previously)

Edit:
Considering the post said avoiding turning permanent orange and stating that you were stealing a few times. Probably that either one more offense will lead to a permanent orange forever or permanent orange till you do the quest to turn green again. Anyway, just keep that in mind.

Um... <<Slant>> Is a skill that doesn't utilise a skill slot
The skill slot utilised would be <<One handed straight sword>>
So that you can use different sword skills. It wouldn't make sense to have to equip all of those sword skills.
Kirito had more than 12 sword skills available, and could use them all. He had 12 skill slots at level 96. Doesn't make sense. Sword skills are like a skill subset.

And I am unsure if there is a way to check which sword skills you have technically unlocked or can use. I am unaware how that works, if they simply activate it and realise or if there is a list or something with requirements to unlock

Edit:
You don't learn most skills just like that. Some skills are available by default and require to be equipped in the skill slots to be used. Others require to be unlocked, by quests or other special means.

Yeah i believe sword skills like slant and reaver are able to be used when having the correct weapon type set to equip and not having to equip those skill individually, they are presumably like ninja says; a subset of the weapon skills themselves and all are able to be used when the correct weapon skills are equipped

I think his editing his post
So will see it afterwards

Anyway, yeah, the way skills are appearing for you are more like they would in the manhwa 'The Gamer'
SAO skills earned from leveling abilities, I have no clue how they work, but you wouldn't be getting them so suddenly like that. There are a set of default ones skills and associated sub skills (sword skills) with each skill. As you level the skill more of those get unlocked, but skill leveling takes time. We have not made a system for skill leveling yet though.

Edit:
i am thinking level 5

Do I need to change the post so it appears I start with them?
I don't really mind...

As for what character...well...balanced str and agi for now I guess
Probably will look somewhat like a brawler
Still not clear on what skills claws will have thou

Edit: also edited post, hope its good enough...

The skills don't appear like you are saying in your post
That is not how the system of SAO works
It is more important you change this skill stuff
Other than that the post is fine

You start off with at least three sword skills with each weapon skill equipped.
With one-handed straight sword, you get, <<Vertical>>, <<Horizontal>> and <<Slant>>.
We haven't found any canon claw sword skills so will probably need to make some.

Anyway,
I am going to sleep now
Night guys
