Let's be honest, it's a good idea. We're both unstable and I knew it was a bad idea from the start, but I have to hold my ground now.

And, yeah. RPing is great practice for writing short stories

I still can't finish my CS, though. I can never do personality/psychological profile very well. If I get five sentences out for that section, it's a miracle.

And I still can't work out how she'd be linked to the Department of i'veforgottenthenameandanocrym. Maybe I should drop that idea entirely.

Well then don't link them to the DSA! Just make them a normal person that got powers, and now has worked up the courage to try and join the League. They don't need to be a super special snowflake; just make them normal. Although, in my experience, normal people are easier to make, and harder to write for. You have to think about what they'd say a bit more than someone with an exaggerated personality: an exaggerated personality will always have an exaggerated reaction, but someone with less defined traits is a bit more subtle..

Not that there's anything wrong with an exaggerated personality. They're a riot :)

Creating personalities for characters is easy. I do that without thinking. And therein's the problem.

Putting it into words is really, really hard for me. Especially before I've actually used the character.

Takes me ages to actually settle into a character, personally. Petya's yet to have a real personality. She's not exactly what I imagined her to be, nor is she going to the direction I originally intended her to go. I still write posts though, as half-assed as they are.

@TheBiddz, if you're character is really moving at the speed of lightning, then it means that he is moving at 224,000 mph, that seems a little excessive.

I don't think thats even the issue.. Unless he has some ridiculous durability or can change his form, accelerating to that speed would kill him. Immediately. Not to mention a punch at that speed would completely turn his hands to dust: Wire needs special gloves to make sure he doesn't mangle his hands when he punches at full power, and that wouldn't even be close to the sound barrier. He does have a normal human body though that wasn't really affected by the awakening though, so theres that.

Either way, its impossible for any PC is likely to be able to take down Polaris at the moment. At all: it took most of the League founders, undeniably the most powerful character's in the League, to take him down before, and you guys are just walking up and punching him. If death was a thing at the moment, then their chances are slim! RP your weakness just as much as your strengths guys! Don't make MrD have to write them in for you when Polaris fights back!

Does lightning really move at 224000 mph? I had no idea it was quite that fast. Definitely was not writing with THAT number in mind.

Im not trying to take Polaris down, just stall. Emmanuel's taking a trip to the hospital after this. He's not even trying to do damage, just be a distraction. Personally, I feel Emmanuel COULD do damage, but that's not what I'm going for. If it came off like I was trying to take him out all on my own, I apologize.

Eh, I just think it's weird how you guys can see probably the most powerful guy known, and the first instinct is to punch it XD

Wire's a bit more cautious about stuff like that because he knows how vulnerable he is: he is squishy just like any other human, which are prone to go pop when put up against meta heavyweights..

That's just how Emmanuel is. Sees a bad guy about to escape? One he knows could potentially kill hundreds of thousands of people? Gotta at LEAST stall him for the real League heavyhitters to try and actually have a chance. He's absolutely not afraid of tossing himself at danger for the safety of others.

Also, on the "Change His Form" thing. That's actually a really cool idea. I'd like to implement that. Make him turn into a solid form of electricity, kind of like his chains.

@TheBiddz, I have to agree with Leeroy, your post's wording sounds like you went overboard with your powers, the fact that your post says that Polaris has to move at light speed to dodge your attacks, makes it hard for me to believe that this was just a lack of knowledge of how fast lightning is

Hydration, watch some TV shows to take your mind off of it, make sure you eat a little, basic sick stuff.
