Clifton followed a few feet behind Hitomi. He felt like he should probably say something but wasn't sure what exactly. He fumbled for a few moments before finally deciding. "So, um, how do you feel about orange juice?" asked Clifton. He could already feel her swooning.

Hitomi looked at Clifton saying "Sorry but you're not my type if you're trying to get with me" before she hurries on ahead turning her music up to calm her down as she thought over what she had said to Tobias to be honest she found his gimicks amusing but sometimes they also made her temper flair up before sighing to herself "Maybe i should say sorry to the poor fellow as i can only imagine how hard it is for him to live up to his heritage but it's so damn annoying at times"

Caufman poked at the plate of salad before him and frowned. His fork was bent at an awkward angle, and little bits of tomato and onion were being scooped and rolled lazily back and forth from one end of the china to the other. The Cafeteria felt like looking through the inside of a hospital room; Too white, too sterile, the lights bright enough to kill, and everything tasted like it had been funneled through a coroner's office 3 weeks before it'd been sloughed on to his plate. Or maybe the latter part was just him. Leafy greens did not appeal to him as much as they used to. Either way, the place was empty, and he couldn't eat.

A security camera jerked to life, twisted to look down on him from upon its metal pedestal. He could see the lens, almost hear the metallic buzz of the camera clicking into place, and it focused in on him, another one swiveling to point its eye towards the hall.

From somewhere not far off, he began to hear footsteps.

Slowly, he pretended to chew while he leaned back in his seat, shoving his hands in each pocket.

Finally dismissed by the scientist Roxy stomped to the cafeteria. She was starving. Ever since they had added the panther DNA to her own Roxy eat twice as much as she did before the experiment. She also craved more meat. Rare meat. Roxy hoped they had some rare steak today, Roxy felt she earned it.

Clifton made a mental note to run over Hitomi with his car at some point in the future. He grabbed his salad and orange juice and carried them off to the far corner of the cafeteria to brood. Here he pondered the meaning of life and trigonometry and how easy it would be to hack into the International Space Station. After feeling sufficiently mysterious, Clifton walked over to Caufman, sat down, and watched him to pretend to eat his salad. "Hey, you going to finish that orange juice? I can take it off your hands if you aren't. I think it's actually from Florida. That means it shouldn't go to waste!"

Hitomi sat down after getting a medium rare steak and started eating it before looking up at Roxy and asking "Roxy you gonna join a fellow meat eater?" refering to the fact that both foxes and panthers ate meat and both of them at meat from rare and medium rare to actually fully cooked tho the latter was only when they had to learn to eat with the normal soldiers as to not make them nervous due to their love of rare or medium rare meats.

Roxy nodded and took as seat. She was too hungry to bother pretend to human. She simply picked up and took a big bite out of it. "The scientist told me they have a practice mission for us this afternoon."

Hitomi nods saying "It's strange Ya know being at our age and being trained to be soldiers and not really have a true life outside of the program makes ya wonder huh if trading our lives for this was worth it even if it's alot better then my old life" as she took another bite out of her steak and savors the taste as she chews it.

"I don't think about it. A solider is better then a thief. There is honor and respect here that we would never have out there. I look forward to training. I like just about everything about this life. I am glad I was offer the chance to join the program." Roxy answered once she finished her steak. It was nice to be able to eat as much as she needed and not have to worry.

Brusenna jumped almost a foot into the air and let out a small yelp when the speakers came on suddenly, nearly scaring her to death. She sighed and slowly walked from her room and towards the labs. Once there she waited quietly in the back, listening to the others converse. She barely ever spoke a word to anyone and kept her eyes on the ground. She still couldn't wrap her mind around the fact that her own father, one of the scientists, did this to her. She felt tears prick her eyes and she stubbornly blinked them away as she waited her turn.

Hitomi nods smiling slightly "yea it's alot better then having to steal money and food everyday just to survive funny thing is it's how i ended up being caught as i tried to pickpocket a off duty and out of uniform police officer and didn't even know it", Hitomi went quiet after that and focused more on her food along with thinking over everything that's happened to them before asking "I wonder how our children will turn out if we ever gets the chance to have a family" a thoughtfull look showing up on Hitomi's face.

Roxy growled softly. She didn't want to think about family. While it might be expected of them to have children in the future she wasn't going to think about it until that day occurred. "Some day they will pair us up so that we can supply the next generation. But that day is years away."

The scientist was gentler with Brusenna then he was with some of the other Breeds. She had not chosen to become a part of the experiment. Her father had forced her to prove his experiment worked. Once he was done with the required test the scientist said "You should eat. There is going to be a mission today and you will be expected."

Brusenna nodded and she drifted to the cafeteria. There she grabbed a juice-box and a turkey sandwich. As she stepped away from the line her eyes scanned around. Mostly all of the tables were full and so she was forced to sit at a table with people. Luckily she was able to sit at the opposite end from them where she kept her head down and munched on her sandwich.

Out of the hall, a cute brunette stormed across the white-top tables, heading down the Cafeteria. Caufman's eyes followed her every step of the way. Now there was a pretty face he wished he could match a name to... among other things. He tried waving, then immediately regretted it. There was this big white band-aid over his bicep that the Toxicologist had fixed on his arm that morning, and underneath his skin was swollen to the size of a grapefruit, an ugly shade of purple that wouldn't stop throbbing. The needle imprint looked more like some teenager's bad acne than a professional trying to take a human venom sample. He cradled the sore, and was still cradling it when company came to visit. Company in the form of a scrawny guy with green-tinged hair asking for his orange juice.

"Sure man." He pushed the plain old juice box towards the new guy. It had one of those cartoony logos on the side; A beaming, sentient orange holding a pitcher of what was basically its own species liquefied. The little box at the right gave the dubious claim that the juice inside was indeed 100% natural. Caufman leaned back, slouching in his seat. "Don't mind the pulp."

More people were arriving, and the room began to buzz with chatter.

Clifton kicked back his chair on two legs and drank the relinquished orange juice victoriously. He could feel the heavens smiling upon him. He watched Caufman eye Roxy with unquenchable thirst. "I see where you've got your mind, champ. Don't blame ya, though. That's one's got a donk for the ages. I've heard she's an odd one though. Like the kind of odd that follows you home from work and collects hair samples from your comb. That's just word on the street though. Just reminding you not to go sticking your dick in crazy. You feel me, son?"

Tobias grew tired of pity-starving himself and arrived at the cafeteria while he still could. He was soaking wet and left massive puddles in his wake, but he didn't care. As one of the tallest test subjects, he navigated through the sea of tables with ease, straight to the front of the now-dwindling lunch line. The cafeteria staff gazed on him with apprehension, until one of the workers called for the forklift. It arrived carrying an entire bushel of fresh sea bass, weighing half a ton. The scientists had authorized a special diet for Tobias, as he required massive quantities of fish to keep up his strength and physical mass. He plopped down at a table in the middle of the room with a squish from his drenched trousers. Not one to be impolite, Tobias unfolded a napkin across his lap. He then proceeded to lift the entire barrel to his mouth with his bare hands, gulping down multiple bass at once, while those sitting near him shrunk away in intimidation.

"Yeah, I'll take it with a grain of salt, Pa." He sat back up, shifting his collar and rolling his shoulders. Instead of his bones cracking, he could hear his padded sleeves wrinkle inwards like a sheet of tin foil. He popped his knuckles for better effect, and that at least sounded satisfactory. His hands curled around the arms of the plastic white chair he was sitting it and he shrugged, feigning indifference. "Whatever. Wasn't like I was going to do anything with her anyway. Too much baggage. Probably." Despite it, Caufman found his eyes lingering to the left, looking for a familiar silhouette, maybe a slim, feminine leg, or a pretty face.

Nothing. Zilch. Zero. Crapola. He turned back to the table, playing with his food again. Flecks of lettuce soon started to drop to the ground.

"What's it to you anyway? I don't remember you from training. You're one of us, right? A - what was it - Breed?"

Brusenna kept her head down, the voices of everyone in the cafeteria washing over her. When half of her sandwich was eaten she placed the rest back on the plate, feeling full. She sighed and cautiously raised her eyes, looking around. Her eyes dropped before they could meet anyone's and she debated going back to her room.

"Yeah, I'm caught up in all this 'Breed' business. You should recognize me though. World famous hacker, Clifton Fumbledum? Made headlines last year when I hacked McDonald's and abolished the dollar menu. There were riots in the streets!" He stopped his gloating and turned his attention towards Brusenna, who he had just spied sulking and being mysterious across the cafeteria.

"I'mma have to hold up this little interview for a second partner. You see that over there?" He gestured towards Brusenna. "Your boy Clifton's got a duty to score some booty. Lootin' and plunderin' time. Peace." Clifton threw his orange juice carton on the floor and swaggered over to the girl.

"Hey there, champ. What's a nice girl like you doing in a dirty mind like mine?" His alpha male status had shifted into maximum overdrive.

Brusenna was so wrapped up in her thoughts that she nearly jumped out of her skin from fright when a voice spoke up next to her, a small squeak escaping. She raised crimson eyes to gaze up at the man standing over, expression slightly shocked. She registered his words and blinked in confusion. "U-Umm...I-I don't k-know.." She stammered, cheeks turning pink at her stuttering.
