Hey you make the appropriate Acrobatics Roll and I would probably allow stuff like that. This is the great thing about Game System based RPs. Things that may seem impossible just have really, really difficult rolls, and if you succeed those rolls then usually you can do said things.

And the downside would be death if you fail on a silly role.

And that is why responsible people embrace the true nature of parkour and minimize the impact. That "silly role" is very important. It conserves the momentum you have through the air to the ground, allowing you to land in a relatively safe way. When you land on just your legs, all of that falling momentum is placed on your legs. This is fine for short heights, but on longer drops, or farther jumps, it doesn't bode well. The roll, while still kind if dangerous, should never kill you when executed with proper form and with the proper discretion. Breaking an arm or a leg is much more likely to happen.

Parkour always carries a level of risk, it's part of the sport. In case you couldn't figure you out though, Erica is a risk taker. Her fighting style, Capoeria, is all about skill and risk. Much like parkour, she can die if she doesn't balance responsibility and risk taking. A over zealous kick, or over rotation, or even an improper base can lead to injury or even death. So please, take your condescending tone elsewhere.

By the way, wrong spelling. I think the word you are looking for is "roll".

It was probably just a joke.

Also Erica is fighting a mob boss (it was bound to happen, ALOT of Kobolds have died in there).

Note that with Genji there she may not die if he is able to save her, but he can also roll badly when trying to save her and Erica could also fumble and open herself for death.

Well...nothing ventured, nothing gained. Let's have her face off with the mob boss. Emphasis on dodging. Let her take the opening attack.

Its just like any other actual enemy fight, with turns and everything, only there is a higher chance of death here (even with Genji around as he isn't perfect and can screw up)

Yea, I like in my RPs to where almost anything can kill you and not just the important plot stuff. It gives the world much more depth and prompts for characters and players alike to be more careful in what they do.

Yea, the Essential Technique Skills for each martial art add their bonuses to the other, but all of the other fancy skills (like Ginga) would not enhance the Ban Family Martial Arts techniques.

So yea, that Skill (Ban Style Capoeria) will be a thing.

So you can spend 2 of your Epic Points to cheat death and stabilize, or Erica can die here. Its up to you. Enemy critical strikes are nasty pieces of work.

A few problems here:
1: She does, in fact, have Cestus on her feet. I've mentioned it on her character sheet a few times.

2: Ban Family Style Technique's description does--in fact--mention that all bonuses and effects from other martial arts styles are added on.

3: If the Kobold is carrying the buckler in one hand as well as a full axe in the other, what is it using to grab her with? Heck, with its front girth, how exactly can it get to its ankle without tipping over?

But yeah, whatever. Use the Epic Points.

This is under Ban Style:
"The essential technique and movements of the Ban Family. These focused, precise strikes focus on targeting vital and weak points on the foe's body, allowing you to ignore 10% of the foe's Resilience with your Unarmed strikes. Not only that, but the strength of your Unarmed Strikes is increased by 20%. Your unarmed Strikes also deal an additional 5 Damage. This special martial arts technique is also easily combined with the other techniques that you possess, allowing any and all bonuses from each to stack."

This is under her Appearance tab:

"When fighting, she usually kicks her shoes off and she fights barefoot, Ever since becoming a Gamer, her feet have been covered at the top with a skin of leather that extends along her shin. On top of this leather is an intricate web design made of braided metal wiring, which concentrates the point of force along its raised ridges before the rest of contact is made and further drives in the ridge. Her hands are covered in a similar glove, which features leather and a metallic ridge along her knuckles and back of the hand. This is used to protect her hands as she flips and spins and allows for extra offensive damage and protection. "."

Ah. Well ill add on some more damage then XD (Forgot about that)

2. Well... even if that was the case (which it is, forgot about that as well, my bad), a Critical is an auto hit that does Double Damage.

3. Also it didn't grab her. It literally shoved her off with brute force (mentioned this). a shield is perfect for shoving (didn't add any bonuses, just used straight Strength Score). But if you have a problem with that, its easily ret-conned.

He kicked her off and sent her backwards rather than in the air using brute strength. If he were to kick her straight into the air that would require he did so upward, but just a powerful shake of the foot and she fell off. Same check would apply, and even if she was sent straight up into the air, she would still be open to attack from the Kobold Lord. He has 24 DEX (spoiler alert XD), so he gets 3 actions per round. He would have gotten a critical and she would have been sliced in the air.

Either way, super nasty hit and she bled out next turn.

Although thanks for mentioning those things I missed. Granted they didn't matter at the time thankfully (Well, cept for Cestus, but that adds on some extra damage as I did a bit of editing to it. Its still a good skill, but the way I did it makes sense to me at least, more than making it the same as other weapons that aren't just attachments to your arms and feet). Still wouldn't have stopped the death chop.

But alright. Epic Points spent, 2 levels in Physical Endurance gained, have Erica get up as one action then do whatever with the second in your next post.

She has 13 HP and Genji is on the war path to kick Kobold Lord ass. Consider that for your next post as well (cause Genji is pissed) (forgot to mention that XD)
