Thank you brovo.

I saw insanity. I brought back sanity. Because, really, the main marker of success for an independent Scotland is threefold.

#1: Can they politically rule themselves? (Yes, obviously. They have their own parliament already. They're capable.)
#2: Can they economically survive? (Yes, obviously. Business has one rule of law above all others: Profit motive. There's no profit to be had in leaving an independent Scotland just because some people in England are whining about it. In fact, that's pretty legitimately insane.)
#3: Will the world respect their rights to independence? (Yes, obviously. Scotland already has its own distinct culture that everybody recognizes. If they vote themselves free, the world will recognize it and happily trade with this peace loving nation of haggis eating kilt wearers.)

Also this gif is quickly becoming one of my favourites. That is all.

Depends what you define as a Scot. I live in Edinburgh and have done for longer than I've lived anywhere else, so I'm more "Scottish" by some definitions than anything else. But as I have an English accent and was born there, and lived there for quite a while, most people up here consider me English, no matter that I think of myself as a mixture of the two and therefore thoroughly British.

I think my favourite part of this whole thing is when pro-Scotland voters were mocking the threat of attack "from space", not realizing that "space" is a codeword for ICBM in many military circles.

Still pretty ridiculous to think that Scotland is going to be anymore at risk from an ICBM when anyone launching an ICBM at Scotland will have officially started the countdown to total world annihilation, but...

If it makes you feel better, even if we go seperate, we'd still be british. I mean, Britain is the name of the island scotland is on.

Never, since nobody cares about your birthday in a FREE INDEPENDENT SCOTLAND.

"They may take our lives, but they'll never take our cake!"

This will all be over tomorrow... Kind of hard to believe its here already, and I might be sitting through the last days of the Union (Silly Cameron, still calling it the UK wouldn't hide the fact we're divided xD)
Good luck to both sides. Its sad to think that no matter which way it goes, nearly half of Scotland will be disappointed tomorrow, and either 80 or 20% of the rUK will be, according to polling in rUK. I hope it works out for us both no matter the vote.

This referendum has caused much grief, but overall I think its been a good thing. Personally, I want a narrow No, shaking up Westminster will be good for all the UK, and a close call will see them rushing through further devo bills for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, I think, and we might see an English assembly at last.

One of the crazy things is after this, there's a bunch of other secessionist regions around the world who may start pushing hard.

Also, on a less serious note, 'Slightly Divided Kingdom' doesn't have the same ring to it.

The Republic of Ireland didn't make its name "The Republic of most of Ireland" just because Northern Ireland chose to stay in the U.K. The U.K. would, obviously, keep its name exactly as it is: the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The fact that it would not constitute the whole of Great Britain any more wouldn't warrant a name change.

I shouldn't have to specify, but I was making a joke.
