Reopening due to a lack of responses/lost interest
Hello there and welcome to my interest check! I tried to think of some witty, fancy title to put out there to catch some attention, but honestly, my mind was drawing a complete blank, so let's just go with the obvious. This is a thread to try and net in some interest in starting a Role Play with yours truly.
Despite how long ago this site says I registed (today, that is), I can tell you that I am no stranger to the Role Playing world. It has been a passion of mine for some years now and recently something I've actually had time to come back and invest in, and thus, here I am. I used to be on this site a couple of years ago, so I figured I would return and see how my luck fairs this time around.
Alright, let's get down to business.
I am looking for something casual, though not too casual. I like some depth to my stories, some involved plots, twists and turns, character development, you know the deal. I didn't put advanced only because I really am looking for something that leans just a little more on the casual side of things. I guess you could call it low advanced at best. Basically I am looking for competent and well thought out writing, characters that not only react to my posts, but bring forth their own actions to push the story forward, and someone who will develop the plot with me instead of just letting me drag it along. I'm not too terribly strict about grammar, but please be able to have at least a basic understanding of the English language. A mistake here and there? Not a big deal, but do know when to capitalize, use punctuation, that sort of stuff. As far as length is concerned, I honestly despise tying myself or my partner down to a set length. Write what needs to be written, but don't fill it in with fluff just to make it longer. I do not want to see one liners or even just a tiny paragraph, but I don't expect the chapter of a novel either.
Alright, I think I've pretty well explained myself. I believe other rules like don't try to control my character and don't just reiterate what I said in my post kind of go without saying, but you know...
As far as plots are concerned, I do have a few in mind. I'm a bit science fiction-ed out at the moment, but I've got a couple ideas for a fantasy role play and I've got a plot or two in mind for some supernatural stuff. I'm not much for anything that takes place in the real world, modern times, without any sort of fantastical twist. I don't care how intriguing the plot may sound, I need something in it that's of either magical, supernatural, or science fiction in nature. It makes it more fun that way!
Oh, one last thing as I nearly forgot! All of my RPs are mature/18+ (I'm 24 myself, if that makes a difference to you), so this will be done over PM and without holding back on content. There is very little that I won't write, so I don't tend to fade-to-black over things. You need to tell me if there is anything that would be taking it too far for your tastes so that I don't cross into that territory since I'm leaving it up to my partner on where to draw the line, alright?
