Atticus Fowler and Codi Bailey

Codi seemed to be pulled into deep thought by Jaska’s statement, and after puzzling for a while, she responded, “Well, we all have animal powers, so in that regard, we are similar,” She said. Her grammar was quite educated, despite the thick southern accent that characterized her voice, “I definitely think that if there was to be a gap between meta-humans, it would be between plant and animal powers, and anything else that didn’t cause you to develop bonds with creatures or their attributes.” The spines of the urchin on her back moved slowly, spreading out with the slow, deliberate movements of a peaceful, resting creature of the deep. She smiled, “Well, at any rate, before we came here, I thought Atticus and I were the only people who wound up like this. At the same time, though, considering we lived in a little town in the middle of nowhere, there was a whole world out there we didn’t take into consideration when we thought that.”

Atticus looked over at her, nodding slightly, before blinking the yellow lenses that now counted as clear eyelids. They came out from the inner part of the eye, instead of the typical up-to-down motion of human eyelids, looking more reptilian or bird-like than anything else. He turned to Jaska, “So, are you a new student, too?” He asked, tilting his head a little to one side. Atticus didn’t like to reveal so much about himself to strangers. Jaska seemed like a nice kid, but even children could be dangerous with information, in the sense that they might tell others.

Codi, now more comfortable now that introductions were out of the way, chimed in, “We arrived here yesterday, but we were just trying to get used to the place before we talked to anyone. Was there something we missed that we should know about?”

Stephen Avarian

Stephen slipped a hand into his side pocket on his pants and produced a chocolate bar and began eating it as he slowly walked over to stand across from Amanda. He consumed it pretty fast finishing it by the time Amanda had just finished up her stretches. As she punched the ground he reached into his other side pocket and produced a water bottle and just slowly uncapped it. She was definitely an interesting one. Before he did anything else his body began releasing thermal energy. He took a long gulp of water as she spoke. He kept drinking without pause as she suggested he go first, of course the heat would probably reach her as she finished speaking or seconds later. he threw the bottle to the side and increased the heat output in all directions. In the end it would probably reach Sylvia soon as well. He smirked. and thought to himself. 'Good luck watching us clearly Sylvia...' In the end she would just see the mirages and not get a clear picture of any of this fight of course that wouldn't take affect quite yet.

Stephen slowly swept his right leg behind his left and bent his knees slightly as he raised his left hand in front of him bending the elbow and leaving the hand open and relaxed. His right hand open at his side but ready to move in an instant. "I'd hate to be rude, the lady should always go first." As he said this the heat would only continue to spread and intensify, not too terribly bad, but enough for some side affects to be taking place, of course that also differed based off of the victims physical condition among other things so there was no telling what was happening to Amanda with the short exposure at this point, but in any case this should be fun. And if she kept arguing this would only get easier for him so the longer he stalled the better.

Vespera Spindel and Zack King

Zack was about do as Adam instructed, but then he had an epiphany. This old fart can't teach me jack.

(and so he faded into the background never to be mentioned or heard from again)

Vespera cast a hint of a glare towards Adam. "Oh you know very well that I have before." She acted like even responding to something as simple as that was draining her. "Of course your right." This was surprising sincere, or maybe she was simply acting. Some of her most potent natural weaponry was good for piercing, plus she didn't have to worry about them weakening. However for range or when carapace hardness wouldn't cut it her current technique would become in valuable. What I'd really like is a blade... Closest she got to that was creating thin webs that cut like wire. The last part almost made her burst out laughing. The more appropriate term would have been instruments. All of her webs were constructs. If he was suggesting she fight without them he was wasting his time. There were a few occasion in the past where her arena opponents were under classed enough that she didn't though. Idiots who she would have hospitalized if she tried at all.

Karlie Davis

Without a moments hesitation Karlie swiped the outfit from Shannon. Well darn, looks like she ruined my jumpsuit. Oh well. I guess she can't pull fabric out of her ass. She had sacrificed her swing, so at least she had made an attempt. Back at her room she could fix it up, or maybe even Shannon would if she brought her some material. It wouldn't make good sense if she was just going to borrow from another of her outfits. She took a few steps back and erected her portable curtain with the speed that comes from practice. This was one thing she could actually say she had done a thousand times and not be lying. All in all it didn't even take her a minute in total. The hardest part was not getting her toes caught in the holes littering the stockings. When Karlie dropped the curtain she splayed her arms wide and said 'So whatcha think, girls?', but no words came out. At least no anything intelligible, just a soft guttural sound. She put her hand over her mouth wide eyed. Then she smiled and a silent over exaggerated laugh using body language. I forgot that Quiet is a mute. Huh, not sure how long I'm gonna wear this... but I might as well check it out. After all Shannon had gone out of her way to make it for her.

Poppy Flanagan

Theresa saying she had a bow and arrow shocked Poppy even more. She seemed serious, at the same time though she was being awfully open with that information. "It's not that I don't like it..." At times she had wondered what it was like to have a weapon. On a few occasions she had gotten in to the kitchens knives much to the servants displeasure. All the up till she found out that she was the real weapon. It really got to Poppy, she even stopped watching violent shows. "Forget about it." When called over she joined her roommate and Dana. The panda now accompanied the lizard man. Wait this guy is Henry... Her expectation was that he would be called something more intimidating. Which also means he's a teacher, which makes more sense. And I guess he had to be human at some point... Then he left, which was good for her so she could process without having to respond. The panda and the other girl didn't look very friendly, so she didn't say anything to either of them. Looking them over she noticed that a woman was riding the panda's back. Huh, maybe he's alright then. She didn't look so unapproachable herself.

Kristen Schwally

Kristen tilted her head slightly while looking at Adam for a second as he told her what he knew. What he said made sense, but at the same time she wasn't sure if he knew about how she is able to heal people, of course she didn't recall telling anyone about that, so obviously there wasn't really a way for him to know, then again who knows maybe he did? She looked around again hoping no one could hear her still. "What about the fact that I can help people heal faster? That has nothing to do with emotions..." When she thought about it she didn't know why she was hoping Adam would have all the answers. He was a high level teacher, no doubt, but when it came to being all knowing that was another topic. After all he wasn't a god.

Kristen played a little with her hair while she was talking with Adam. All of the nervousness had finally left her now that she was up here talking to Adam and all that was left was an unending amount of curiosity, and happiness. Perhaps Adam would hold all the answers, and if not she was positive that Adam would be happy to help her figure it out! Then after all of this she would spend some time with Gabriela and Jake! Ths was turning out to be a fantastic afternoon! Though there was the capture the flag game she would rather not deal with, but who knows maybe that could be a lot of fun! She wasn't sure what she could do for that, but only time will tell right?

Tetsuya & Asae Kyuuji

As soon as Victoria climbed Tetsuya without warning, Asae was already on edge but then she heard her talking to the Panda and it made her fall out laughing. Of all the people she would use, Tetsuya was one of them. Tetsuya didn't understand at first and looked nervously at Asae, who waved him off laughing and turned around to the girl named Tess and Dana. She smiled and extended out her hand "Hiya there, If i remember correctly you...are Tess" point to Tess "and you are Dana? or was it the other way around..." She found herself full of a new feeling she hadn't felt in a long time, but seeing Victoria using Tetsuya to make Henry jealous was just comical. She heard a text message "Now I am going to assume that is Henry, could you please tell him i would like to talk to him? Just for a split second, right over there actually" she pointed towards the wall farthest from Victoria and Tetsuya "you don't have to, but I do want to address something with him" she smiled small, she usually wasn't this nice, but she didn't want Henry to misinterpret what Victoria did, at least she hoped he wasn't that head over heels for the girl not to realize she was trying to pull the jealousy thing. Tetsuya on the other hand laughed nervously when Asae started talking with the other two girls. sighing quietly he looked up to Victoria.

"It's nice to met you Victoria! though this is quite the meeting if I do say so myself" he laughed and rubbed his head. He wasn't use to the whole...another girl thing. The fact that Asae was killing him, getting him revived, then killing him again was...by far one of the most unsettling events he had seen from the girl. However she laughed, and not one of those fake laughs she did sometimes, but a real genuine laugh and that was enough to brighten his whole day. He looked up at Vitoria again and nodded "Well My father was of Chinese ancestry and descent. My mother...well it's hard to say but she was Japanese and Russian, a very...interesting mix of races if I do say so myself, what about you? Are you english, or American, or?" he left it opened ended not trying to openly or blatantly assume what her race was. He was a bit worried when Henry disappeared, he seemed to be sort of...disappointed and the looks he gave him and Victoria made him feel beyond shitty, he felt like he was intruding on the man's girl and he would hate to feel that way.

Estell Szüts

She was running quite behind time, she looked at her watch and then to the captain driving the boat "How much farther!?!?" she sort of yelled over the noise of the boat and he pointed, making her move towards the front of the boat, her eyes going up in wonder "HOLY SH-" the sounds of a boat horn rung in the air and she almost looked giddy at the sight of the island. They pulled into the dock and a lady with a clipboard greeted her "Hi, Ms.Szüts?" the older women looked at her and Estell, extended her hand out towards her. "Name's Estell Szüts, but I really don't go by that much anymore, Ella Selzu is my new name" the women grabbed her hand for a firm handshake before turning on her heels and motioning with her pencil to follow her. "Noted, now if you would step right this way, I'll lead you to your room and then inform you where to go from there, the place is quite big so keep up Ms.Seizu" Ella nodded and picked up the pace, coming off the dock. They walked or rather speed walked towards the entrance, entering the main entrance, She stopped in amazement "This place is-" the escort made a coughing sound.

"Like I said Ms.Seizu, it would be preferable if you kept up, time is precious here" she said firmly. Ella just shook her head and followed the women, almost on her heels to make sure that she wasn't falling behind. She lead Ella down a number of corridors into the students room area and then lead her down a hall of doors, stopping at a door and opening it "This is your room, you don't have any room mates as of right now, so enjoy it while you can, lord knows how annoying some roommates can be...ANYWAYS I will give you a moment to put on your power training suit and put your stuff on your bed" She looked to the women, and she sighed "Ah yes, power training, it's a time a lot of the students enjoy, you get to show off all your little powers and what not, now hurry, Time is-"

"Is precious, I know I know" Ella closed the door behind her and put her duffle bag on the bed. Looking around for some type of suit of some sort, she looked in the closet and found a thin skinned suit, putting it on it sort of started to glow "Uh...okay..." she looked around some more and found that she did indeed have an overcoat for her suit "How on earth..." not only did they know what her power was, but what it relied on and what it's weakness was, that was beyond scary. She put on the overcoat of sorts, though it didn't have a hood, she rolled up the sleeves and used the button on it to keep the sleeves from rolling down. Her suit wasn't anything special though it did have a sort of glow to it when it came into the light, as did the special overcoat Fire Proof? she heard a knock at the door and she pulled up her long hair into a ponytail, might as well try to look presentable. She opened the door and the women stood there tapping her foot and tapping her watch "Okay okay, by the way, do you know how they got me measu-"

"It's one of special teacher's powers, no time for questions, you're missing class" she already began walking before Ella could protest or even show a sign of emotion. Scrambling after her, the went down rows upon more rows of corridors and halls A person with the power to make clothes...that's so cool! this school it more than amazing, kind of wished they had contacted me before I got into the whole free running sport... she had been in a couple of magazines, nothing too huge, but she was pretty well known in the free running community. She had done extremely well in preliminaries, weeks before arriving at the school, and now she had to drop out of one of the bigger competition and events for free runners. She wasn't all disappointed though, there were so many things at this school and this was an opportunity to make new friends that were at least similar to her in the aspect of having a power. Deep in thought she walked straight in the women who was now stopped at an opening into a gym of sorts "Oh shoot sor-"

"Nevermind it, you're late so try not to cause a disturbance in the class, a Panda fellow earlier caused quite the ruckus, now on your way, and welcome to the Academy Ella" she walked away while Ella tried to decode what she just said. A panda? What the fu- she walked through and stood in amazement at the sight of all the people in the room. There was indeed a Panda! and a HUGE one at that, he had to be like seven foot maybe more and the guy looked like he could rip a man in half. Ella looked and saw a girl sitting on him The guy even has a girlfriend? Damn Panda Expresses Mascot must have some game, that girl ain't no slouch either she looked around and saw what seemed to be maybe two teachers helping out students and a lot of others just simply socializing. She looked around "Welp...lets not stand here with our thumbs up our arse" she walked nonchalantly towards Red, Mark and Nikki. She did her best to not seem like she was jumping into the conversation the three were having "Hi, erm could you guys help me out? I literally got here like twenty minutes ago and everyone seems to be doing stuff" she scratched her head laughing awkwardly "Oh wait, my manners, i'm Est-...Ella, Ella Seizu" she cut herself mid way from saying her old name and looked towards the three "nice to meet you!" she smiled hoping that she could just make some friends.

Adam Leo Blackmore.

Adam nodded at Kristen. A healing ability? No, she said it helps with healing.... Two different things. It'd be rather difficult to tell her about it since he doesn't know. Right now all he can do is read about her pheromones. He turned his head away for a moment and peered at Vespera. What she was going on about, however, left plenty to ignore. He mentally filed her under 'practicing', thus he can go back to her later. "I do not know of that ability..." He blankly stated. Well, this wasn't going to be too informative as is. "... However, I can tell you everything you need to know if you'd aptly demonstrate." He put out his hand.

Jaska Din Valos

Most of what sea-urchin lady said went clean over Jaska's head. He wasn't really paying too much attention to it because it all seemed so unimportant to him. He only paid attention to her once she said something that struck a chord with him. A similarity between the two parties. He lived in relative isolation for most of his life, away from other people, honing his skills and living ignorant to the world at large. Only once he was introduced to the Valos is when he was introduced to the other side and the wider world. He wanted to say they had something in common, but didn't know how to say it. "Umm... I didn't really know anyone like me either... Except for my mommy." Yes, Reiko Ain, the woman who brought him into this world. There is no one else he could draw any similarities to other than her... He should talk to her when he gets the chance. However, Fish-man started asking Jaska questions before he gets too deep into his thoughts. "Mhm, I cam here yesterday with my brother and sister." He politely answered his question. The other question was trickier... What should they know? It was beyond Jaska, and he wasn't the type to think too hard. "Oh, there's a few nice people here! Like Henry. He's so big and he got me a fish." The boy really appreciated getting such a meal. "Uhhhhh... I don't really know what else to tell you..." He shrugged, "... He's taking people out in the jungle later... I don't know..."

Jake & Gabe Valos.

Looks like little miss sunshine missed the memo. Gabe rolled her eye as she stared down Evan. This girl was probably dense if she couldn't figure out what was going on. What os going on was explained. Repeatedly. Hell, even Gabe could walk in here, take one look, and figure it all out. "You must be the kind of gal that need obvious things spelled out for you..." Gabe said to herself underneath her breath, with a smirk. She wasn't going to say it outloud. The last thing she was going to do is make enemies (When mostly everyone else made her their enemies). But Gabe picked up on the hostility Evan was giving off, and disregarded it. This girl was probably some little miss sunshine who got an attitude the second things didn't go her way. Soooo not worth her time.  That was the reason why, other than that smartass remark to herself, she didn't say anything to Evan.

Yup, tall, white and venomous. Jake thought that everyone here should know of the current scene, unless Evan missed something. Understandable, this whole school is a massive clusterfuck. He was going to politely answer her questions, piece by piece. "It is very nice to meet you, Evan." He politely greeted. He was going to drop the cheeky thematics for now. "You, are in the middle of power training, headed by that old guy, Adam." Jake shot a thumb in the direction of Adam. "People are just walking up to him, and demonstrating their powers while he's pointing out things that they could learn. Everyone else is either sitting here on our behinds or practicing." Jake explained it the best he could. "Or sparring, but I don't think people are really interested in that." He finished. Sparring wasn't something he was into, he only fought when there was no other option. "After this, he mentioned something about a capture the flag kind of thing. Hmph, there's no way I'll miss out on that."

Capture the flag. Now that sounds enticing. Jake could be such a dick at that game (Tricking everyone into thinking he has the flag, or he could just grab the flag and leave an illusion) it wasn't even funny. It was just the kind of thing that would be fun for the Valos.

Amanda Daisy Blackmore, & Sylvia Lana Bertoose.

"Alrighty then..." Amanda did one last stretch. Stephen was just standing there like an idiot while she got ready. It was time to spring her little trap. The metal hands she had created started moving towards Stephen, at not too fast of a rate. They weren't going to do anything, but distract him. While they were moving towards Stephen, she quickly bumrushed  him, using every once of speed to close the distance... And, Jesus, she quickly felt the heat that he gave off. Probably his power, but he wasn't deterred. She would have made a sex joke like 'Am I making you hot?' if she wasn't focused on kneeing Stephen in the balls.

Like Stephen predicted, Sylvia was having a hard time watching the fight. It was getting hot.... A heat power? Sylvia didn't know that much about heat, but she wondered what her power would do in a fight with him. Sound vs. Heat. Something that she can't really counter like, say, someone who had super strength. She figured that regardless of his ability to generate heat, she could blast him across the room, or blow his ear drums out, if they ever brawled. However, she couldn't really watched the fight normally... Which is why God gave her the ability to perceive sound. She blinked and saw sound waves. She knew exactly where Stephen was, and gained a vague outline of his body. It was enough to keep track of him.

The fight just started.

Deborah Lillian Termellio, & Shannon Jacqueline Balore.

Portable curtain. And here Shannon thought Karlie be bold enough to get undressed in front of everyone. Whatever. Both girls waited patiently until she stepped out. All dressed up in the slutty outfit that Shannon made for her. Both girls started wildly snickering like little school girls. It was just too funny that Karlie took the bait and more. Especially since Shannon basically got her to humiliate herself.

Karlie moved her mouth, but not a sound came out (She is effective mute until she takes off the outfit). Deborah watched her body language (She is attempting to communicate through body language, she wants to know what you and Shannon think). Oh, that makes sense. "You look rockin' in that!" A legitimate compliment. Karlie certainly good looking in that, but Deborah wasn't getting the hots for her. Debs heart belongs to Shannon. But she had to think about what the staff (I.E. Adam) were going to think when they see a student wearing such a provocative outfit. "Now take that off before Adam has a seizure." Or some boy pops a boner.

It's a win-win, Shannon got Karlie to humiliate herself, and she stopped talking. What a dream come true! Then Deborah proposed that she takes off the outfit. And end the silence? Hell no. "So soon? She just looks so good in it that there'd be no point in taking it off so fast." She said with a chuckle, "Besides, I can show Adam how it feels to wear such an outfit. That'll change his mind."

Both girls chuckled. However, they got themselves a little guest.

A... They didn't know if this person was a boy or girl. Definitely looked foreign with that olive skin, slim body, certainly Androgynous. This chick's gender definitely is definitely not the thing that's important here, what is important here is that she can't be read by Deborah. No matter how hard she looked at Salia, how hard she looked for even a glimpse of body language, she couldn't get a single thing out of this girl. Her power was dead when looking at this girl, only getting information through her other senses (I question my sanity, is this girl even here?). While Deborah has encountered a similar effect in Cerebral and Extra-Sensory types, there was something different about her. She wasn't going to freak out. This question had a simple solution: Salia here must have a power that counters hers. Things just got interesting. Deborah slyly smirked and gave Salia an amused smirk.

Before Deborah had a chance to answer, Shannon naturally had to speak first. No one else was answering this boy-girl's question after all. "Both. We are free to do as we please until the real activities start. Everyone just takes this time to talk to each other." She sounded bored, and didn't make an effort to even hide it. Salia was likely not worth her time, just a new student asking a simple question before being sent on their way and they'll never see each other again. "The three of us? We're just..." Shannon peered at Karlie for a second, "... Practicing!" Before she chuckled again.

Well, that covers it. Deborah shrugged. Since Shannon seemed to be rather dismissive. "Hi, I'm Deborah. Nice to meet you." She introduced herself. That was the cue for everyone else to do the same.

But Shannon kept her lips sealed.

Theresa Sindel Obott, & Dana Lucille Alcott

Curses Henry! Right when they walk up, he bails out. Leaving them with Pandaman and the one eyed lady, along with Henry's girlfriend. This got awkward fast. Both Theresa and Dana started peering around awkwardly. It wasn't that they were uncomfortable around these people, it was just how sudden Henry called them over then bolted. It just... Left a bad taste in their mouths. "Next time I see him I'm going to breath all over him." Theresa whispered to Poppy. Well, since there's here, might as well make the best out of things. But before she could do anything, her phone buzzed. Perfect. That better be Henry. Yes, it is Henry, apologizing for ditching them for no reason at all.  The one eyed lady did a double take and say who they are. No, we totally didn't just introduce ourselves two seconds ago. Tess thought to herself as she rolled her eyes. "Yes, spot on. I'm Theresa Obott, she's Dana Alcott." She didn't have to ask for Asae's name, because, unlike her, she was actually playing attention.

Dana saw the situation for what it really was. Honestly, they weren't here to see what happened, but Dana got the feeling it had to do with Victoria and Tetsuya. She sometimes felt the same way, and has done the same plenty of times in the past. The text message she got from Henry confirmed it. So Dana merely sighed and let the conversation continue. Asae requested that they get Henry so she can have some words with Henry. "Yes, I can do that." Dana said very politely. She didn't have a problem with sending Henry a simple text message. Henry, Asae wishes to clear some things up with you. She sent the text and looked up at Asae. She wanted to talk to the one eyed woman. "... I can tell the conversation did not go well for Henry. He is one of my closest friends here, I understand him on another level." She knew that Asae would probably leave them then they'll never speak again.

Nikki Biyung.

Right before Nikki could hear Mark's name, Red finally decided to show himself yet again. She smiled. She felt a little bit more comfortable around him. A little. "Hey, Red, what's up?" She said to Red. She didn't know if he came over here for any particular reason other than the fact she was here. That worked fine, she was really her only friend. She had literally no idea of the deductions that Mark were making. He then asked if there was anything he should know. This was where she hit a bit of a stump. "Well, we're about to play capture the flag... I don't know what else to tell you." Nikki scratched the back of her neck. But she found a common ground when Mark said this place was crazier than it should be - Though most of that craziness was due to her lovely cousin. "I can agree with you on that, Mark. I thought this place would have some semblance of sanity."

Then another chick came up, one with weird eyes and hair. Nikki looked up at her, and asked herself, Does this mean I'm popular? I never thought I'd be this way. Nikki noticed that the girl stumbled when she introduced herself, but choose to keep her trap shut. "Hey, I'm Nikki Biyung." With all these people here, Nikki thought that they could actually do something instead of sit on their ass and talk. "So, do you guys want to do something? We are free to practice after all.... But if you don't want to, that's fine. I just don't want to sit here doing nothing."

Mark

Mark didn't quite know what to make of 'capture the flag'. He kept up a smile, yet his face betrayed a slight apprehension. He was surrounded by the fantastical, and he felt very far from that. Apparently further than Nikki, as she didn't seem all that put off by it, at least not outwardly. Perhaps that would mean it could be a laugh. Who knows. At the very least, it was nice to have his own insecurities echoed.

And then a new voice came into the conversation, and Mark gave her his moderately divided attention.

"Hi, erm could you guys help me out? I literally got here like twenty minutes ago and everyone seems to be doing stuff" she scratched her head laughing awkwardly "Oh wait, my manners, i'm Est-...Ella, Ella Seizu" she cut herself mid way and looked towards the three "nice to meet you!"

...You know what, screw it. If I want to analyse someone, I'm damn well going to do it. If I come off as weird for accidentally derailing the conversation, then thats just something I'm going to have to live with.

Well.. she's got blue hair for starters. And based on how much effort she's put into her makeup and how freaking long her hair is, it would be reasonable to assume that it's dyed.. And that she is used to getting a lot of attention. You could probably assume that she actively seeks that attention, but thats getting ahead of myself. It could just be that she likes to take care of herself.

Hmm.. what else can we tell about her? Well, she has a slight blue glow about her. I'm going to put her into the 'fantastical' power section until proven otherwise. I can't really tell why she's approached us specifically, but the fact that we aren't half animal probably played a part in that.. So shes nervous because she wants to make a good first impression, or she just gets nervous talking to people. But no, thats impossible for someone that puts that much effort into their appear-

He cut off his own thoughts as he noticed the beginnings of scars on he arms: the rolled up sleeves made them just about visible. If he could have bitten his lip while keeping the world at a standstill, he would have.

...Ah. There are a bunch of scars going up her arms.. A bunch. Now if it were on her forearms, I would have hoped she had a cat, but because they are mostly hidden from view.. That generally means.. Self harming. Could that mean that she is nervous talking to people because she was bullied? Maybe it's a problem at home: why else would someone popular want to leave it behind? Or maybe it's something completely different, and I'm overthinking this, and I'm freaking out at what I should possibly say to someone who is self harming, and what they'd then say back to me, and how the hell I'm going to handle something that demands that much commitment and patience to actually resolve..

...

Yeah, I'm overthinking this.

The world span round again, and his head twitched slightly, and his facial expression turned blank and indifferent. Nikki spoke.

"So, do you guys want to do something? We are free to practice after all.... But if you don't want to, that's fine. I just don't want to sit here doing nothing."

Mark was about to say something, but was cut off by Red.

Evan didn't hear Gabe's comment, but she did see her lips move ever so slightly. So what, not brave enough to say it to my face?

Choosing to ignore Gabe for now (especially since it was only worsening her mood, and ever so slightly brightening her eyes, hair and tattoos) Evan pulled her sweater sleeves further over her hands in a vain attempt to hide the tattoos subtly showing themselves there. Of course, it wouldn't hide the ones on her face, or her palms, let alone the streaks in her hair, but it was more for her own benefit than anything else.
She looked straight at Jake as he (much more kindly than his sister) explained what was going on. When he finished, Evan looked down at her crossed legs, adjusting the tinted construction glasses that she wore as sunglasses and hissing, "God, this place is real isn't it..."

"Thanks," she said louder to Jake, looking back up, and mumbling, "I don't fucking believe this place..." She glanced over to where 'Adam' was speaking to a student, and wondered briefly if she should go over there. Whatever, he'd probably make her go over and test anyway, before they moved on to capture the flag (a game she'd never played, mind you). Reaching under her glasses, she rubbed the bridge of her nose. I just got here...
Looking back up, and intending to say something to Jake, Evan caught Gabe's stare. Was this girl trying to intimidate her or something? Maybe, but the way she looked at her said something different. Evan knew the look. Like she saw Evan as nothing more than some beggar on the street. Like she was, to her, worthless.

Worthless.

However, unlike Gabe, Evan wasn't going to hide her distaste. She bristled, stood up, and flipped her sunglasses up onto her head, revealing her eyes (brightening, along with her tattoos and hair, with every second as Gabe pissed her off more). She stared back at Gabe with equal venom. However, when she spoke, it was with the voice and expression of someone who was just tired and annoyed.
"Look," she said, her voice more exasperated than anything, "I just fucking got here. I'm stressed out. I'm annoyed. I'm tired. So if you have a fucking problem, could we skip the bullshit and get right down to it? Because it is too fucking early in this time zone to deal with passive aggression. Enfer..." The colour and luminescence of her hair, eyes and tattoos pulsed subtly.

Jake & Gabriela Valos.

... And just when Jake thought shit was going well, Evan just had to bring this shit up. He knew that Gabe wasn't going to take this too well, merely because he knew that she was standoffish as anyone could humanly be. What came next was nothing surprising.

Oh? Now the whitey wants to be a badass? Big fucking break. She has bigger things to deal with than no-named bitches who walk around with an attitude. But as easy as it would have been to turn around and walk away, Gabe just had to say something back, "....Ooooooooh, good for you!" She said sarcastically as possible. She wanted to get across that she wasn't taking the girl seriously. She put her hand on one hip, and put her weight on it, her gaze not changing. "Let me give you a swell piece of advice; cry me a river, build a bridge, then get the hell over it." The lightshow did not go unnoticed. In fact, Gabe took it as a sign of aggression. Something she was going to return tenfold. She put her fist up, and it started glowing a brilliant bright red color that could be seen all over the room as a beacon. It flooded her personnel space with red. Gabe put across her final warning, "Now, chill the light show. You don't know who can do better." If that didn't work, then hell, shit happens. They could wave some money in front of Adam's face and just tell him; Oh, she just tripped and smashed her face in against the wall by accident!

God dammit. Once again, it was up to Jake to keep things from escalating. He didn't care too much for Evan, and would probably never see her again (Which made it all the more better). He got in between Gabe and Evan. Risky, but he can defend himself against Evan (Gabe would never shoot him). "Look, it doesn't have to escalate like this. Only thing that will happen is you two get one or two hits on each other, then the staff steps in and we're all scrubbing the lunchroom for months."

(still practicing her ability, nothing to see here)

Karlie Davis

Karlie looked down at herself. Not bad, not bad at all. A few of her other outfits were rather revealing as well, but this one took the cake. She looked over she shoulder to get a feel for how her butt must look. Bet the boys will be drooling all over me soon enough, if the staffers don't intervene. The only effect she could feel right now is that she was carrying herself with more grace and control than usual. Quiet is super duper sneaky. Maybe I get something related. Upon crouching down and trying to minimize her profile her hands suddenly disappeared before her. Oh that'r right, she can cloak. I'm like invisible. Well there goes all the attention I was sure to attract. It wasn't really a bad thing, she was getting into the character of being a stealthy sniper. Wonder if I have a form of advanced marksmanship, guess I won't get to find out though. Not with the schools ban on weapons. Oh well, I can still have fun! Karlie sneaked around Shannon and Deborah and placed her hands on each of their shoulders. As she did so she reappeared briefly, then vanished again. Then she came back around front and started striking action-y poses. turning invisible between each time so she was never visible while positioning herself. And just like that she was now probably drawing even more eyes, and her primary power was invisibilty. The new girl was acknowledged, but it wasn't like she could say anything to her. Karlie just hoped she liked the show.

Poppy Flanagan

Poppy leaned in to here was Theresa had to say and giggled a little. It seemed a little on the forced side though. In the end it made her feel awkward. Still she had to say something back. "What would even happen?" A lizard hyped on on drugs couldn't be a good thing. Since she wasn't participating in introductions herself she didn't catch on to her roommate having to be redundant with Asae. From the other conversation going on it seemed that they were going to call Henry back. Since his presence made her uncomfortable, how weird it was that he called them over then skedaddled was overlooked. If anything she thought it was strange that they were calling him back. After hearing what Dana had to say about their relationship Poppy was slightly more open. Only because what they were saying must of had a hint of truth. Unless this was all an elaborate prank, but she wasn't getting that vibe. That made her think of the jungle trip planned for latter and who else would be on it. Certainly Tetsuya would be be into such a venture. Looking him over she began to wonder why he looked to fierce if his powers came from a peaceful animal. Maybe he has bear powers in general and just looks like a panda. For all she knew he might be able change forms at will. It was strange having these sorts of questions after the way she had been raised. Ultimately she had to learn and adapted not to get blown away from it all. Something that she was doing surprising well at. Luckily for Poppy her power manifested itself while she was still developing instead of being a late boomer. Chances were that she had had her power for longer than she thought without knowing it.

Stephen Avarian

Stephen gave Amanda a dark grin as she tried to close in. The good thing about not being able to see was that he saw in his way, which means nothing was hidden to him right now. The hands were a nice touch, but did she not realize that he wasn't limited to sight? Well she'd learn quickly enough when he didn't even bother looking at her after awhile, but as for now he'd let her believe he could see. Stephen just waited for her to get close before he would roll to the side putting some extra distance between him and those hands, and avoiding her, plus to top of this wonderful baking cake he increased the output of thermal energy in all directions, but focused most of it in Amanda's direction. He'd come up from his roll back in his stance waiting for her to try and hit him just letting the heat work it's magic, and on the even brighter side of things it was already getting to a point that Amanda would get minor burns from touching him with her bare skin, so things were progressing nicely.

As for Sylvia, he wondered if she was able to tell the general idea of what was happening. She would also be feeling the heat as it intensified and would suffer from it, and hopefully she would get a better idea of who he was. She might call him a chuckle fuck, and that's fine. He could care less, but he at least wanted her to get the general idea of who he was, and afterwords if that's what she chose to stick with then so be it. It's not like he's a big fan of hers anyway. Though he'd rather make allies instead of enemies. He also reminded himself that he should grab another chocolate bar after this fight was over.

Kristen Schwally

Kristen blushed so fast and such a deep red that there was no hiding it from Adam, or anyone else who could see her face at that time. There was no way she could demonstrate that for him! "Um...Well..." She wasn't sure she wanted to tell Adam the fact that it was through kissing someone, that part she left out for a reason, but what choice did she have? "I don't know if I can demonstrate it really..." She could no longer make eye contact with Adam. This was a little embarrassing to say the least. "The only way I know how...And possibly the only way...Well um...It's...It's by kissing the person I'm helping." She could feel her face burning from how much she was blushing. Most people would either try and get her to kiss them with this knowledge, or laugh at her for the idea. What made this situation worse was how Adam might react. She needed his help there was no denying that, but without an example how could he...? She was a little scared to know how this was going to work.

Red Winston

A girl approached the group and introduced herself, while asking for help about what was going on in the Training Hall. Red couldn't help but check out the girl a bit, only to start profiling, yet again.

"Well-built, not bulky, but athletic. Eye color is pretty unusual, Red in color, which is shared among albinos and, judging by her characteristics, she is not one. Possibly related to her mutated DNA. The same applies to her hair, though in that case, they could be also dyed, which is more probable. Scars on her arms are from knife cuts, the direction and shape of the scar suggest so. She is new in the Academy, so adaptability plays a vital role, so she decided to talk to someone. Picking our group is coincidental, but, even if it is not, it is of no importance, unless she has a hidden agenta. Being in the school for twenty minutes, as she claims, this is highly improbable. Conclusion: Ella is a new student, trying to socialize."

Red stopped focusing on his predictions and deductions and returned to Earth. He introduced himself to his new acquaitance, after all, it was common courtesy.

"My name is Red Winston. Although a new student here, let me welcome you to Academy 218! It is nice to have you here! People like you, who are bot pretty and humble, are always a good company!"

Red's compliment for Ella was not because he was hitting on her, but because she wanted to say something encouraging. Being pretty had no value to him after all. But, he chuckled, because he remembered Amanda telling him that he had a harem. He wished that she wasn't watching him now. It would just be adding oil to the fire.

Nikki's suggestion to practice their powers was not something Red was excited about, for the sole reason that he didn't think that his power could improve. He had a passive ability of limitless memory. Period. No fire out of his mouth, no flight, no faster than speeding bullets, stronger than a locomotive or jumping tall buildings in a single bound. Of course, he didn't want to spoil it for the sole friend he had in the Academy, apart from Jake, so he decided to go with Nikki's flow.

"I cannot practise my power, since it is a passive one and, as far as I know, I cannot improve it. But I can gladly help you with anything you might need and, of course, I shall accompany you!"

Victoria LaRouse

Victoria noticed that Asae was looking at her and Kyuuji and she didn't need long to understand what was going on. Blushing from embarrasment of what she did, she hid her head in Kyuuji's fur. Right now, she wanted to disappear, so she would not have to look at Kyuuji. She didn't have the slightest idea that he had a girlfriend, otherwise, she wouldn't use him in her little jealousy act. It was not her style to do something so treacherous and, worst of all, Henry could get the wrong idea about her. That was the most frightening thought of all. She tried to speak to Kyuuji, but her mouth was covered with his fur. It was like trying to talk through a pillow.

"Am whilly sowy! I vivnt min to! (I am really sorry, I didn't mean to!)"

She lifted her face from his fur, which was bloody red from shame. To her, no words were enough to describe what she had done, despite Asae laughing at the whole situation. Actually, right now, she didn't pay attention to her surroundings at all. She whispered:

"I didn't know you have a girlfriend! Je suis desole! I swear that I did not have the intention to make you think that I am flirting with you! I had a reason for doing what I was doing! But, but..."

She was speaking so fast that she was forgetting what she wanted to say. Calming down a bit, she took a deep breath and said, this time, whispering to the point that it would be hard for Tetsuya to listen to her, even though her mouth was only a few centimeters away from his ear.

"The truth is, that, uhm, j' aime Henry. How do you people say it, I like him...But he doesn't like me, so I am trying to make him, by trying to make him jealous. That's why I did what I did, so, please forgive my behavior! By the way..." now she speaked in a louder tone, "...I am French, but you have probably understood that!"

Mark

"I cannot practise my power, since it is a passive one and, as far as I know, I cannot improve it. But I can gladly help you with anything you might need and, of course, I shall accompany you!"

Mark didn't mind being cut off if this was what he came out with. For the first time in a while, he got sucked into the conversation. He didn't obsess over details, he didn't worry about what would be the best thing to say; he just spoke. And quickly, before someone else could cut off this discussion thread.

"Oh really? I'm pretty sure there isn't anything that I could improve on my power either! It's not.." He paused for a second, as he realised the gravity of the next few words would have as to what he would claim his power was. And yet he went on ahead and said it anyway.

"..exactly passive though. I've got pretty good control over it.."

Oh great, you got carried away. Now they're going to ask you what it is because you freaking well brought it up.
Although, I suppose it was just a matter of time until it came out. Screw it, I'm just going to come clean.

He had averted his eyes and grabbed his elbow. His face held a wincing smile.

Évangéline DeRonde

Evan watched Gabe's little dominance display with indifferent eyes. Bored, even. She'd seen this display on so many street thugs she could barely remember, and so many times they'd been barely half of what they made themselves out to be. She doubted that this girl would be any different. In all honesty, it was kind of funny. Evan even cracked a smirk as Gabe wound up for a big finish. Threats and all, because Evan had never seen that before.
Evan did have to flip her sunglasses down when Gabe made a fistful of light, and briefly close her eyes under the glasses (Gabe wouldn't be able to see that) but other than that, she was unaffected. Something told her that the light was just for show, and not the extent of her power (how was she ever going to get used to the fact that everyone around her had powers?) but she was still unimpressed. However, instead of waste her time on this showboater any more, Evan decided it would be a better idea to just leave. Normally this was the point where her pseudo-brother Mitch would gently pull her out of a confrontation and calm her down, but he wasn't here, so she had to try and think like him to do it for herself. Waste of energy... his words echoed in her head.

As it turned out though, Jake stepped in. The act was so painfully like her own 'brother's' that it hurt a little to see. None of these emotions showed, however, except for the pulsing of her markings and eyes went down a bit, fading back into invisibility, and her eyes into their muted, icy purple.
"Well," she said, clapping her hands and pasting on a smile, "It's been a pleasure but I think I'm going to go and do something else now." With that, she turned away, adding a "And thanks for the pointers," to Jake as she passed him.

She walked toward the middle of the room, nearer to Adam, glancing around with her hands in her pockets. She saw a lot of interesting things; a girl who kept turning visible and invisible again, a few pits, one of which had heat waves turning the image above it to water, and a girl riding a panda, among other things. Near the instructor was a girl with a beet-red face who looked very flustered, but Evan couldn't hear what she was saying. The most notable thing she noticed, however, as that not only was she the only one not in a riot suit, but she seemed to be the only one who was wearing some semblance of eye protection (her sunglasses were tinted safety glasses). The thought made her smirk.

Estell Szüts

Ella smiled at Nikki She seems like a fun person, I think I might want to be really good friend with her she smiled at the girl making a mental note to talk to her after class if she wasn't busy, she was pretty to, not like feminine cute but she had a look to her that fit her well, Ella had to catch herself not looking at Nikki to make it seem like she wasn't trying to check her out or anything. It wasn't like she was a les-...never mind lets skip past that...She noticed however that the boy who didn't introduce himself was...sort of staring at her, not at all long, a couple seconds at most, but it was still creeper like. She shifted uncomfortably, he could at least be a bit more...covert with sizing her up or checking her out...or whatever the hell he did for that brief period of seconds. She did notice he was staring at her arms and that made her instantly feel super uncomfortable. She crossed her arms over her chest "The scars are a long story..." she said briefly in a sort of tone that Mark that it was making her uncomfortable. The boy named Red introduced himself, he was a generally nice looking guy, scar going across his face almost seemed fitting though in a way. He complimented her and she blushed slightly "Thanks, I haven't gotten complimented that blatantly in a long time" she laughed slightly before finishing her inspection of the guy. All in all he was pretty darn attractive too, he seemed well behaved and educated, his posture was also very good for someone that appeared be younger than her, in fact all three of them looked younger than her, except for the guy that checked her from earlier that made her feel super awkward. She blew her hair out of her face and she looked at the three "Well it's nice to meet you three, as for the training aspect, I'm...not to good with training with others that aren't use to...Ill just show you guys I guess" she stepped back about 3 meters away from them, making sure they weren't close enough to get burned.

She opened her hands and slowly her body began to glow, then suddenly blue flames engulfed her body and suddenly a whitish blue female looking flame appeared in front of them. Her hair turned into a whisping group of snake like pieces of hair. Surprisingly the suit that she was in didn't burn up, nor did the overcoat "Woah this is cool as hell, my clothes actually didn't burn this time" her body quickly deflamed and only her right arm was still on fire. She walked a bit closer and suddenly the flame on her arm, appeared in her hand as a fireball. She bounced it between her hands and she walked over to the three "and there is my power, it is...kind of dangerous to have others around me with in I think half a meter it was from me, I don't have to always use that form, but that's my strongest I would like to think, that is unless you have a room full of fire here!" she looked to Nikki and Red, the tone of her voice indicated she was a Pyrotechnic, or a Pyromaniac, but who's to say the difference. She let the flame dance around her fingers and jump from her hand before it quickly diminished to a yellow flame, then a red one before extinguishing. "So what about you two? You said yours is more subtle so it has to do something reading me or something with your mind, and I'm going to take a wild guess your's it the same as his? Seeing as you were staring like he was, though yours was much faster" she spoke to Mark and he replied with that his was similar to being subtle but not the same. Then she looked at Nikki, inspecting her slightly and then she noticed that the girl had a bag full...some moving things? rats? no smaller...hmmm...bugs maybe? she looked to the girl "And maybe yours has something to do with bugs?" she said slightly unsure of herself towards the end.

Tetsuya Kyuuji

He laughed slightly "Oh dont worry, considering that laugh just now was genuine, I think she knows what you were trying to do so dont worry about her. As for her being my girlfriend, she's actually my Fiancé, we planned on getting married here, since we're are safe for now" he smiled happily eyeing Asae from behind and feeling the same butterflies every time he looked at her and thought that she was soon to be his wife, a Panda bear. He looked to Victoria "Though Victoria, might I say something? You see those scar's on Asae's neck? You want to know where she got them from? well...me. You see she's gone through a lot with me and vice versa, in fact this scar" he pointed to one of the many scars on his inner arm "Is from Asae. What I mean to say is, maybe it's not that Henry does not like you, but rather maybe he is scared that he will hurt you, I went through the same with Asae, but there is another thing I would like to address, his body language when he looked at you and me showed me at least that he does in fact...very much like you back. In fact I wouldn't be to surprised if he's liked you for a while, if not since he's known you, though I could possibly being on animal body language." he shook his head in agreement to what he said. When Tetsuya wanted to be he could be pretty damn wise, being with the monks had a habit of doing that more or less.

He looked slightly to the left as he saw a giant brightness come from the direction of a group of people and saw that a girl was on fire? That seemed to be a pretty...heated situation(AHA YES PUNS), he chuckled to himself quietly I made a pun...I am a bear for christ sake the amount puns that probably said when I walked in were most definitely worse... he looked over at Asae who has walked over to a separate wall just standing, he found it odd but he left it alone, maybe she was up to something, maybe she was just waiting for something, either way she had a look on her face like she was doing something, best to let the girl do what she does, otherwise that box could become a whole lot worse than it appeared to be.

Atticus Fowler and Codi Bailey

Atticus tilted his head to one side, “We actually talked to Henry earlier, though we didn’t know about any sort of jungle expedition.” He mused, finally deciding he could probably trust this kid more than he had a few minutes ago. Jaska had him at the mention of isolation; it wasn’t a fun experience, but it was probably worse for a little kid than it was for a couple of teens who had been able to interact with other human beings for much longer. It seemed that Jaska had mutated much earlier in life than Atticus or Codi. “I guess we’re both in this crazy new place together; glad to see we aren’t the only ones a little bit confused about things.” He said, his tone having a warmer, friendlier note in it.

Codi looked around at all the people gathered in the area, “Well, if we don’t know what to do, we could train, although I’m not sure how we go about that. I don’t want to spar, but I'm not familiar with the place." She looked at Jaska, "You said you had siblings, right? Who are they? If they aren't busy, maybe you could introduce us?" She looked at Atticus, "Maybe we could ask Dr. Olin and see if he would let us come with him on the jungle trip, too."

Matthew managed to slow the targets, though not with the precision Adam wielded. It was fitting; the teacher was meant to be better. She took comfort in the fact that authority had true power here. Aislin already knew with some practice Matt would nail it. His power, she wished she didn't have to say it, but it was kind of intimidating. That demonstration was just a facet, he could do other stuff too. Aislin frowned as she pushed away her envy and apprehension, reasoning there was nothing to fear in a class setting. Regardless, he was dismissed.

Daniel, upon request, mentioned to Mr. Blackmore the largest thing he could summon up. It wasn't too impressive, just a small cubboard. But his reason behind the object's smallness piqued her curiosity; he worked through holes. Portals. So what exactly was this other dimensional space? Where did the rose exist before he pulled it out of his pocket and offered it to her?

There was one eccentrically dressed lady in their group, black and gothic. Aislin didn't really notice her until she saw her exchange with the other lady in their group -- a hottie, Kristen. Aislin gauged her reaction, and watched the reactions of the other men around them. And she quickly felt outshone. God, does she realize she short-circuits all the young male brains here?

But then she mentioned how she needed to kiss someone to use her power, and Aislin facepalmed. Yeah, staying apathetic towards Kristen was probably wise; the girl wasn't a threat, but she seemed so limp-boned Aislin wrinkled her nose. Part of her dislike resided in her perfect looks, but Aislin shrugged off most of her jealousy.

Adam quickly cycled through the students, returning his attention back to Aislin. "Animating your surroundings. I have to ask that you quickly demonstrate your ability...."

Animating plain floors were easy, just like water. A singular base material, and lots of it, was easy to move and manipulate into shapes. Aislin was sure she could take what she learned from animating water here, she just had to keep her concentration. With a slow inhale, Aislin held it in as she emptied her mind.

Forgetting about the sheer amount of people in the room, or how intense Adam's eyes were, Aislin focused on the ceramic ground, trying to find a connection. The gray stone took on a fluidic expression as it began rippling out from below her feet. It boiled up in tiny bubbles just to her right, and she reached a hand out as a stream of gray stone rose up and wrapped a couple time around her wrist. The twisting stream disconnected from the floor, taking the form of a snake as it coiled into the palm of her hand.

The snake lazily flicked its tongue out, then rested its head as it morphed from scales to petals. A bud opened up in its center, and thin, ornate petals of a lily swirled outward to fully embrace the air.

Yes, that's exactly it. Just a little-- Aislin desperately tried ignoring the voice inside her head. The one that incessantly analyzed her surroundings, that tried to be helpful when it only interrupted the much needed silence she needed. Shh, no thoughts. I can't let myself get distracted with messing this up, I have a lot of people to imp-- Ah, shit.

With an audible crack, the lily split in half, then crumbled into pieces. Gray sand fell from her fingers, merging with the floor underneath her feet, becoming still once more. Aislin clicked her tongue in disapproval, glancing across the seamless ground. It was as if her power had never touched it.

Dammit. She thought, the back of her neck heating up. Just like that, her animation died. All from a thought that got carried away. Of course I had to get distracted in front of the teacher.

"The slightest amount of babbling thought makes me lose it." She said, almost feeling she owed an explanation.

Shin Ghost Note SOMETIMES EVЕN RICH NIGGAS GET LOST

Member Seen 0-24 hrs ago

All conversations were abruptly ended off-screen when A-Train Adam called his little homies to to begin CTF. It was a act of mercy. Shit got boring.

Amanda Daisy Blackmore, & Sylvia Lana Bertoose.

"... Surprise motherfucker!" Amanda had this all according to plan. The heat that Stephen was given off was enough to give her his power on a nice little silver platter. Parts of her body started glowing with a brilliant orange glow, a glow like super heated metal. Her hands, feat, chest, and hair, with her eyes glowing orange like they were nothing but a void. She gave off some heat of her own. It was time to kick Stephen's ass... If she knew how to use this ability - No, not even that, they were both immune (Far as Amanda could tell) to the same thing. It'd be like throwing cotton balls at each other. Well, might as well pull back and....

Aw, fuck. The alarm started blaring in the Pit. Amanda stopped dead in her tracks. That meant that time to beat the fuck out of each other was over. A shame. They just got started. It was like fucking and stopping right in the middle of it! Everyone will be having blue balls for months! Well, at least Amanda got a new power underneath her belt, and she'll have her chance to beat Stephen to a pulp later. She started laughing, and put her hands on both of her hips. "Well, looks like playtime's over, Stephy boy." She said with an amused smirk. "Even though we'll both get the fighting version of blue balls, thanks for giving me that power of yours." She wanted to rub in that she just copied his power. A lot of people didn't like that... Now to use it, and become a badass, and out badass Stephen, and rub it in his face....

Hell, she should just start running along before Daddy gets disappointed. She wasn't going to miss Capture the Flag. "Au revoir, douchebag, don't think this is over. We'll finish this later." She skipped her way back up the steps.

Jesus, this kid's like Jean on steroids. Sylvia was wiping off all the sweat. The area was nearly unbearably hot. Which was something she didn't have a lot of counters to. Well, she could do what she did when she fought Jean, just bumrush him and send him flying across the room. Yeah, that could work. That mirage non-sense won't work against the ability to see sound. That said, Sylvia stood straight up and tuned her back to Stephen, giving him an aside glance. The gesture would have been powerful if she wasn't literally soaked with her sweat. "... I expect to see your ass in that arena later, Chucklefuck." A simple challenge. If Stephen was willing. She knew that she was. She walked up the stairs.

Adam Leo Blackmore.

Right then and there Adam's face glowed bright red with sheer embarrassment. He... Did not like the prospect of a girl, that was younger than him by decades, kissing him. What would the students think? What would Ravencroft think? He immediately turned away from her, and coughed into his fist. Trying to look professional. "... We'll discuss this later." He hoped that this wouldn't come off as creepier than what it sounded.

Fortunately, Aislin Rose stepped up and gave him the perfect distraction. A brief demonstration of her ability. He watched intently as he laxed, letting the air return to normal. She created a snake made out of stone, along with several other reactions. This gave Adam a great wealth of information from her ability. Even though she wasn't entirely successful (You cannot truly fail in my class) Adam got enough out of her ability. She can create golems, more or less, and animate objects around her. Just like the school's file on her says. There wasn't much he could teach her, but there are ways she can improve her power. Many things were in her potential, things Adam could tell her. He put a fist to his mouth, loudly clearing his throat. "That is sufficient, Aislin. There things within your potential I wish to inform you of. For example it is possible for you to infuse your creations with emotions to give them differing traits. I theorize that Anger would make your creations more offensive oriented..." He tipped his glasses as he looked around the room. They were running out of time, so Adam was going to conclude things with Aislin. "... However, there is a more advanced ability within your grasp. You will be capable of projecting your own consciousness onto your animations. Making them act as a alternate body... Something for you to work towards." He gave her one last confirming nod.

However, they had spent enough of their time here. Adam could tell the students were getting anxious, eager to start team exercises. He used his ability to carry his voice further, "Alright then, students, assessment and improvement time is over. Time to begin... Capture the Flag." He said with dramatic flare. "If you would all follow me." He stepped away, as he pulled out his remote, and pressed a button. Two things occurred. First a door opened right in his path, and the alarm in the pit started blaring. Signalling that it would close soon. He stepped through the door, and with the rest of his students following, they would find themselves in the arena.

A specially made arena for the capture the flag event. It was a truly enormous room, large enough to support the buildings that were inside. Made out of the same blast metal the training and arena rooms were. What was notable about these rooms were the aforementioned buildings. Several buildings were in the room for the game. Two buildings were on opposite sides of the room, they were small and built like metal bunkers. These were the bases for the two teams, one marked with a red flag, and the other marked with a blue flag. Between the two bases was a large blocky fortress, with a tower on the very top of it, this fortress had plenty of windows (Before you get any ideas, no glass) on all sides. This was a tactical position. It stopped the two teams from heading straight for each other. With chest-high walls in place for cover, and various resources for certain powers lying around. Surrounding all of them were tall metal walls with watch-towers lining them (They had ladders and whatnot to get to the top). The walls were thick enough to have hallways, and there were many doors into them.

Adam turned around, and explained the game the best he could. "Welcome to the Capture The Flag exercise - Often abbreviated to CTF. A simple exercise in team work. It is simple, your objective is to collaborate with your teams to take the flag from the opposing team and take it to your own - Though I have to iterate for the telekinetics, and whatnot, that, for it to be valid, you have to physically grab the flag. No powers. Everyone is allowed to take measures to defend. However, no lethal or damaging attacks, no blows to the face or exposed areas...." He tipped his glasses and gave everyone a stern look, "If I see anyone, anyone, break this rule, and they will be spending an hour in the detention center. Everyone should simply aim for the armor. I will be assigning your teams." Adam pulled out his clipboard for a second, before he loudly announced everyone's names:

"Alright, Team One will consist of: Jared Winston, Atticus Fowler, Kristen Schwally, Richard Cox, Deborah Termellio, Jaska Valos, Gabriela Valos, Alex Beta, Codi Bailey, Valjean Vaseal, Shannon Balore, Estell Szüts, Aislin Rose, Cordelia Holmes, Karlie Davis, and Jake Valos." Adam pointed at one base. "Your base is on that side."

"Team Two will consist of: Mark Heaton, Amanda Blackmore, Victoria LaRouse, Poppy Flanagan, Dana Alcott, Tetsuya Kyuuji, Asae Sugiura, Paige Wilson, Christopher Fox, Henry Olin, Sylvia Bertoose, Avarian, Matthew Evans, Évangéline DeRonde, Terry Obott, and Nikki Biyung." Adam pointed at the other base. "While this is your base."

Adam held his clipboard behind his back. "Everyone move to their respective bases, once everyone is ready, the game will begin. And remember, this isn't a competition, we will be judging you by your performance out there. No real winners, no real losers... " He nodded his head as everyone went on their respective adventures. He was going to watch from above, using his aerokinesis to give himself flight. The second anything went wrong he'd be right on it. May the games begin...

Jake, Gabe, Jaska, Deborah, Shannon, & Valjean.

Huh, so the games started? Jake and Gabe stood side by side as they stood in front of their base. It was a good thing they were all on teams (Even better (?) that Evan is on the other team). They wanted to win, merely because of their own competitive drive. But now came the problem of actually winning. Who's going to do it? Jake knew that they couldn't go rambo and grab the flag. No, they had to come at this from a strategic approach. "This is going to be a tough one. But, we'll pull through."

Jaska got into his gargoyle position, standing behind his siblings. Looking around the room. He took in one sharp inhale and blew out a puff of fire. Rather bright fire. He was excited for this game, but he was unsure of where to start... And was afraid. People here would hit him? Last time someone attacked him... it brought out the beast, and that wasn't pretty. He shuddered. Choosing to remain quiet, and with his own thoughts.

Looking largely meh, Gabe shrugged and blankly said, "Heh, we'll just pull some of that Valos talent out our ass to win."

"... Remember the last time we did that...?" Jake said with a grin on his face, "We lost, horribly, before we even started."

Gabe started laughing as she playfully pushed Jake, "Hey, I told you to drown the duck when you had the chance." They both started laughing.

Footsteps approached the three, definitely two people. Deborah Termellio and Shannon Balore. Since the match just started they need a plan going and to get acquainted with their team. What better place to start than with these people? "... Well, I don't think anyone would want to watch you pull stuff out your ass, so perhaps we can be of assistance?" She said with a cheeky grin. Shannon's body language said that she wanted to be anywhere but here. In actuality, she thought it'd be fun to play these games merely from a tactical, logical. standpoint.

Gabe gave Deborah a cheeky grin, damn this girl was hot. That was enough to keep her attention. "... And who might you lovely ladies be?"

Introduction time. Deborah has seen these people plenty of times in the past and was simply joyed to finally make their acquaintance. "Deborah Termellio, and this is my close associate, Shannon Balore. We're just two 'lovely ladies' who thought that 'Hey, if we're being forced to play this stupid game, why the hell don't we put effort into it?'" She laughed for a little bit. Wondering what the hell these kids could do. While asking about powers was something so commonly tossed around here that it's gotten dull, they might have some use. "But for that effort to mean anything, we would need to know what everyone is capable of. What are your powers kind gentlemen?" Lying to Deborah won't accomplish jackshit.

Jake scratched the back of his neck, shrugging, "Nothing special. I make illusions, she shoots lasers, he... Just looks like that...." Jake covered them. It was easy saying what their powers were in a sentence or two. He knew that Gabe didn't care, merely because subtly is an alien concept to her.

Shannon wryly said, looking at Jaska, "... And breathes fire."

Jake pointed at Shannon. Reflecting what she said, "And breathes fire."

Ugh, Jaska was content with being ignored while the grown ups talk, but they were talking about him. That just meant he needed to respond. He hissed lightly under his breath, hot air came out of his mouth. He reared his head, somewhat irritated that he was being forced into a conversation that he wanted nothing apart of. But it was just a pair of pretty ladies. He knows what that means. "Oooooh, hiiii pretty ladies." He greeted them.

Both girls started laughing as they looked at each other. Already so young and such a gentleman. "How adorable." Deborah said with a wink. But it was time to get down to business, she kept the ball rolling, "How interesting. I can use this information on my planning. Shannon, would you mind sharing your gift while I think?"

Shannon let out a sigh, one thing she was tired of was discussing powers, "... Clothing manipulation. I can do just about anything with fabrics and materials that you see clothes are made of. Along with a little bit of tensile strength manipulation, I am quite the fashionista."

Coooool. Clothing manipulation. Jake would rather have control over clothes than illusions. He'd be hella fly 24/7, and would never have to worry about a tear in his clothes again. "That is a great power, Shannon." He had to say, "And what do you think the opposing team is capable of?"

For the first time, Shannon opened her mouth to speak. "Your guess is as good as mine, I only seen a few of them in action...." Shannon looked into the distance, pondering. "Of course with Pandaman and Henry on their team... we might have a bit of problem...." She put her hand on her chin.

"Ha! Problem?!" Gabe loudly said, boldly, "Whenever I see a problem I just add laser and it's gone." She topped that off with a smug shrug.

"... And we have a Deborah." Debby said, with a giggle in her voice as she stepped up. She didn't want to come off as arrogant, but she knew she was tooting her own horn here, "This is not a game of strength, or power, it is a game of skill, tactics, and planning. Thus, we have a massive advantage; me."

Gabe put a hand on her hip, dryly looking at Deborah "... And what the bloody hell can you do that's so amazing?" She wasn't saying this because she was skeptical, she was saying this so Deborah can elaborate a bit more on her fantastic, amazing, skills.

This was the big question everyone was meaning to ask. Which is why she didn't give it away right from the get go. She needed to get their attention. "Basically, I get information about what I perceive by making connections and getting information out of it. Thus, I can anything." She topped that off with a sassy shake of her hips. "What I can do is come up with a great plan, with Shannon, by taking everyone into account, and making an infallible plan around that."

Standing over them, getting ready himself, was Valjean Vaseal. He was competitive, so there was no way he was going to miss out of this. Though he didn't really have much to say. They were planning, he was getting ready. The first thing he did was go into scorpion form. A rough tan exoskeleton surrounded him from head to toe. His face turned into a more scorpion like face with mandibles and extra eyes. A massive scorpion stringer had erupted from his lower back, while extra-legs had also grown out of his body. His hands were transformed into massive pinchers. If his face was capable of it, he would be grinning. "... And that's my Debby." He said, his voice was now insect-like.

Deborah continued, "But, while we can come up with a plan, we'll still need the input of our lovely associates. Who will attack, who will defend, who will get everyone coffee... That jazz. I know you guys won't want us straight up giving you orders." She topped it off with a chuckle. This was the moment where everyone steps in and starts planning.

Amanda Daisy Blackmore, & Nikki Biyung.

Yay, Amanda gets to fight with her beloved cousin and new boyfriend. And bloody balls, Stephen was on their team. Amanda wanted to 'slip and accidentally tear his balls off' while no one was paying attention, but oh well. Amanda was shifted into her metal mode, so she could efficiently fuck shit up. Fuck plans, fuck the other team. Literally. She was going to build an iron dildo and go to town. Erhm. She should save her plans for Matt for later. For now there's a game she has to win. She would just rush head first into the enemy base and grab the flag, but that wouldn't be fair, now would it? Amanda turned her head towards Nikki, who was standing right next to her. "Yo, Nik, can your bugs fly the flag over here?"

While Amanda was doing her thing, Nikki was thinking of a plan of attack... Which would be difficult since everything was going on. At most, she could provide support for everyone else. Actually, Nikki reached into her gym bag and a few flying insects came swarming out. Scouring the room. This was her plan. Keep track of their team using a network of bugs. "No, but I have a better idea." Nikki was quick to say, "How about we just sneak in and grab their flag? I'll know where they are just so we can avoid them."

Amanda leaned up against the wall, giving Nikki a cocky grin. "... Heeeeeeyyy, I like your line of thought, Nikki." She gave her cousin a thumbs up. She knew a plan like that would fall apart, which is good, because Amanda can wreck some kids shit either way. Amanda started running forward, before she abruptly stopped, and turned towards Matt, "Matt, be a good boyfriend and break anyone who gets in our way in two, would you?"

Paige Wilson

This was a bad idea. Had been from the day she got that invitation. She'd been here for a day and a half and her stomach was still in knots. She'd never had to be around this many people for this long before, never mind the prospect of actually living with them. Steven had started slowly with other people, exposing her to small groups for short periods after she'd gotten used to just being around him, and they'd made it to the point where she could go to school every day and not have a breakdown, but this was way beyond that. She'd been standing in the back of the room just trying to avoid curling into a ball the entire time the others had been showing off their powers, which was just as well since hers wasn't really a show-able kind. Unless someone happened to have a knife handy.

Her suit was different from most of the others, lacking the armor plates and protective pads that most of them were sporting. Instead it was simply the skintight suit, and didn't seem to do jack-shit against the temperature. She'd pulled her dark hair into a ponytail for this particular session, better to keep it out of the way, and decided against her usual assortment of dark eye-shadow and lipstick. This was a training class, not a fashion contest. She'd have plenty of time later to put on her warning signs.

When the head instructor finally began to usher everyone into an adjoining room, this one much larger and containing several buildings of its own, she almost sighed in relief that he wasn't going to call her up and make her demonstrate her ability. She didn't particularly like the thought of hurting herself just to display her power for a bunch of strangers. Then again, she didn't particularly like the thought of being around a bunch of strangers. Steven had said it would be good for her though, that they could teach her more about herself and what she could do than he ever could, so she'd grudgingly agreed to accept the invitation. She'd been wishing she hadn't almost since she got here.

What's done is done though, and now she was stuck in a room with a bunch of strangers getting ready to storm a castle and retrieve a flag. It was actually a good thing, the prospect of running and climbing and moving again, and she hadn't really had any time for it since arriving. Maybe that was why she was so on edge. Moving always made her feel better, less tense and aware of the people around her. It helped her clear her head. When she was running, other people were just a part of the scenery, obstacles to be avoided and overcome instead of nerve-wracking sentient beings she had to protect herself against. Scenery couldn't hurt you (unless you screw up, but then it's your own damn fault), and if you ran fast enough, neither could people.

She took up a position on the second floor of the base Adam had indicated as hers, but still couldn't see over the castle in the middle to what the other team was doing. Go figure. Then again, that meant the others couldn't see them either, so she figured it was probably a mixed blessing. Beneath her was the metal girl, along with one that was talking about using insects to scout the opposition and a boy who could apparently break people in half. It was then that she realized just how out-classed she really was. If the others had anyone like this on their team, she'd do best to just avoid them all and keep moving.

"So is there going to be a buzzer or something when we're supposed to start?" The question wasn't directed at anyone in particular, and somehow she managed to keep her voice from shaking and her teeth from grinding when she was finished. She really needed to start moving already, or this was going to become a really long day.

Red Winston

So, capture the flag has started. Gladly for Red, they were given preparation time, otherwise there wouldn't be much for him to do. Being in the front line is useless, so he should provide a suggestion at least. He cut himself from the world, feeling his temples with his fingertips, this time going too deep into his Memory Hall. He needed all the information he had on both teams and their surroundings and come up with something decent. He first accessed the "Profiling" section of his memory Hall and dig out all the profiles he had made up to now.

"Kristen: Control over pheromones, Deborah can find missing links in deductions, Jaska seems to be under the Super-system class, but I am uncertain, Ella has control over fire, Aislin has animation powers and Jake has his pseudo-illusions. That's what I know for my team. For the other team...Amanda is absorbing abilities and seems to have control over metal now, Tetsuya is a Panda-man, Christopher has control over magnetism, Henry is a bipedal lizard, Matthew is omnikinetic and Nikki has control over insects. The tower is a significant spot, so the team who has access to it gets a significant advantage. There are also many things scattered throughout the field, probably to help some people with their powers, or they are coincidentally there, although it is unlikely. However, the main point is to capture the flag. Now, what would be the best plan?"

Red then moved to an empty room in his mind. It was a room that entered only in special cases, where he could unfold all the info he had, analyse it and make his estimations. He processed every single piece of available data, reprocessed it as many times as needed and finally he came up with his decision. His first action was to go to Deborah. She was a senior student and her power should be known to others, so she would be great as the voice of reason in the team. Without delay, he rushed to her. Fortunately, they had been on "good" terms, although he wasn't sure how the incident with Chris could have affected that. But, right now, it was for mutual gain to co-operate and Deborah should be able to see that. He approached her and said:

"Deborah, I have come up with something...Although my information is limited, I think I have a basic plan that we can use and you can improve it! I think that our ace for getting the flag should be Jaska. His stature makes me believe that he can be as agile as needed and also be able to tace care of himself in a hand to hand fight. His support group should be Jake and Gabe, who are more familiar with each others powers and can probably make a great use of it. Meanwhile, to disrupt the other team, I think that our best bet should be Ella. Her fire manipulation should surely prove effective against Henry, who is a reptile, Nikki, who controls insects, Chris who is a living magnet and probably Amanda, who is currently controlling metal, by heating her up and the Panda-man. I can't think of many animals who like fire. Panda-man's other weakness should be his forehead. That's where most of the nerves are on bears, so I think the same should apply to pandas. Aislin's power should also prove effective with the things on the ground, since it can make them unusable to the enemy with her animation ability. But most importantly, I think that Jake should use his illusion abilities to change the appearance of the fighters of our group and mix them, so the enemy group should think that the one they see will use his power, while in reality he will use the power he really has. You should be the one to improve the plan and explain it to the team, if you find it good, though. I think that they will listen to you more eagerly than me."

Victoria LaRouse

Victoria was tired of waiting, but, now, the time for action has come. Her prayers were heard when she found out that she was on the same team as Henry. He wanted to fight side by side with him, not against him, although she wouldn't go easy on him if she had to. But the real good news were that Valjean was on the other team. Even though Sylvia proved to be the better fighter of the two, Valjean was still one of the toughest around, which gave him priority in Victoria's list of opponents during the game. Despite that, what he wanted to do right now was to get ahold of the promise that Henry made. He went to him, touched his shoulder from the front, so as to not startle him again and once again climbed on his back. Henry did say that she could stay on his back if they were on the same team, after all. Gently feeling his cheek, she said:

"You do know what I can do Croco. So, if you manage to take me close enough, I should be getting the flag with a single swap. Just promise me that you will not worry about me and trust that I can take care of myself. I take airborne attacks. You handle the ground! We are winning this thing, one way or another!"

Now that she was on Henry's back, she was by far the tallest person in the room. Looking at everyone else on the team now, she blatantly said:

"Don't hold me back, folks! I will get this flag for the team before you can blink, as long as you support me! Oh, Sylvia, next time, I hope I get to fight with you, mon amie!"
