Four Towers is a sprawling underground exotic research facility located in a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio, in the United States. Its real name and employer are lost; instead, the facility is known by the only above-ground structures: four squat watertower-like ventilation and elevator shafts arranged in a perfect rectangle. Even the employees don't know who really hired them, and they've been paid to forget the question. Research is conducted towards the nature of dark matter, psychic and ethereal phenomena, applications of theoretical physics, and genetic and viral engineering.

All of this, of course, goes horribly wrong over the course of five days. The incidenct starts on Thursday, July 18th, steadily grows disastrous over the weekend, and ends in the wholesale destruction of the facility and a 5-mile quarantine zone. Survivors are rumored to roam the hills and nearby river, however, these rumors have been strongly discouraged.

Think Half-Life's Black Mesa Research Facility, Portal's Aperture Science Enrichment Center, Resident Evil's Umbrella Corporation's secret labs, The Island' facility, or Dollhouse's main facility. Basically, a sprawling, secret, underground, this-can't-possibly-go-wrong Science complex. It is, of course, doomed. The nature of the doom is partially up to the players - each application includes a field for "role in the incident". As the RP progresses, the gaps will get filled in through NPC's and various bits of lore lying around.

This isn't a "stop the horrible scenario from happening" RP, this is a "survive the horrible scenario"/"die spectacularly" kind of RP. You'll be playing a band of survivors - scientists, assistants, security, office workers, maybe an administrator or two, or possibly even a VIP. Your first post will be meeting up in a small supply closet somewhere buried deep in the facility.

Inside the closet are janitorial supplies, one handgun (nobody knows how it got there, but everyone has their own suspicions) with a full magazine of 12 shots, a crumpled ten dollar bill, a box of seven flashlights with batteries, office supplies, a bloody pen next to a piece of paper with "Cha" written on it, a crowbar, a screwdriver, and a bloody SD card.

Alright here's my character. Let me know if I need to change/add anything.

Name: Aiden Strider

Appearance:

Sorry about the size of the image, it was the only one I could find of this character.

Job: High-Security, his specific job is to guard the test subject dormitories and make sure nothing escapes. He has not been enhanced in any way yet, he isn't quite high enough up on the security food chain.

Relation with Other Departments: He knows quite a few people in the science department, at least those who work with the test subjects. He's also very familiar with the medical staff and of course the other guards. He's had guard duty in the VIP quarters before and has discovered that he doesn't like them all that much, guarding is a fancy way of saying babysitting when it comes to those guys.

Role in Creating the Incident: He let a test subject escape. He shot it, stunned it, and it still wouldn't stop. When he stood in its way, it knocked him aside like he was nothing and nearly gave him a concussion in the process. He really did try but there wasn't much he could do.

Where You Were and What You Were Doing 5 Minutes Ago: He was attempting to track down the test subject and get to the armory so he'd have a better chance at putting the thing down. Only it tracked him down first and was apparently angry about the bullets. So he ran in the direction of the armory hoping to get there first.

Name: Nina Brunner Appearance: Nina looks like a woman in her early twenties, with a bit shorter than shoulder-length blonde hair. Her eyes are piercing blue, and possess a watchful, relaxed impression. She stands at about 5'7, cementing her overall appearance of an attractive European woman. Her body is lean and surprisingly strong, but she certainly does possess certain womanly attributes which, while not excessive, do accentuate her looks to some extent.

Job: Test Subject Relation with Other Departments: Hates the Science team, particularly those in the Bio Division. Liked one of the guards she was assigned, as they were always quite nice to her.

Role in Creating the Incident: Killed guards and scientists, and broke a large number of test subjects out of the dormitories.

Where You Were and What You Were Doing 5 Minutes Ago: Heading towards the armoury, following the trail of a survivor she had heard running down the hallway.

Appearance: Short Neck length Black hair, Red eyes, caucasian, Wears a black armored Duster jacket (Administration wants him to wear body armor, He likes the Jacket.), (Sometimes an armored HAZMAT suit.), 6'3", Sometimes a Cardinal's baseball cap. (Just picture Kirito, or my Profile pic.)
Job: High Security (Incident response team.)
Relation with Other Departments: Liked by Test subjects (due to leniency.), disliked by administration, and Very Liked within security.
Role in Creating the Incident: Shook the mysterious substance onto a door release.

Job: Basically a Robotic Secretary for all the departments; but has basic access to all department (and has low-security level clearance).
Relation with Other Departments:

-A Creation of the Robotics Department, Ashely was created to memorize a co-worker who died at a early age due to a illness. The Robotics team have successfully created a mechanical human body similar to Ashely and have a basic self-teaching personality program be installed within her. Allowing her to have the basic emotional sets of a human as well has having a vague idea of morals and what not.
-Being a cyborg meant that she didnt have to sleep or eat was a valuable trait for her as her personality grew on and on, making her seem more human like and sociable to other humans which they accepted easily (cause if your working in a crazy research lab and you met a friendly cyborg that pretty good considering what you might encounter). She did favors for some of the departments and over time grew to be one of the company's trustable workers.
-Since she had no home and was connected to the Research Facility and had no where else to go she didnt mind doing overtime and helping the other departments with their work gaining some influence in those departments as she was a regular face. she was often taught by the other members of the department on how to do thing gaining her experience through them and often applying what she learned occasionally to the escaped test subjected, gaining quite a influence on the security department to be granted low-security clearance.

Role in Creating the Incident: Being a cyborg with the ability to adapt to scenarios, Ashely did what she did what she was suppose to do as she had never been programmed before to react to this kind of situation. So therefore, she tried to maintain order and detained both guards and test subjects with certain success, but in the end it came out to failure as test subjects escaped from her and she delayed the security's job.

Where You Were and What You Were Doing 5 Minutes Ago:
After seeing her mistake, a member of the Robotics team was trying to program her before she was shut down temporarily and was left on the side abandoned for some reason. She may suggest that the programmer might of disconnected her from the Research Facility but at the moment she couldn't test it out

Appearance:
Job: Applied Scientist, working mostly on teleportation.
Relation with Other Departments: He has a mostly bad relationship with the test subjects, good standing with most of the security team, and just neutral standings with everyone else.
Role in Creating the Incident: He accidentally teleported a few test subjects outside of where they were supposed to be, and it also gave them increased hearing but decreased sight.
Where You Were and What You Were Doing 5 Minutes Ago: Hiding from a test subject inside of his lab.

Name: Harold Gerwulf
Appearance: middle aged man with short and thinning black hair of medium build and slightly over weight. Wears heavy work boots, thick brown and stained cargo pants, a green long sleeve shirt under a protective trench coat, has work gloves for handling hazardous material and a gas mask and face plate.
Job: Waste Material Neutralization and Containment
Relation with Other Departments: overlooked by anyone in other positions. appreciates all other departments except security because most of them ridicule his work.
Role in Creating the Incident: Due to a oversight in calculating proper containment several hazardous materials from different departments were placed in inappropriate containers allowing leaks. mutating genetic fluids, radioactive isotopes, failed applied science projects, and other stuff caused a chain reaction of leaks. Effects are unknown

VerifyinTr1gIDs - accepted. I'm trying to imagine Daigo's reason for ending up in the supply closet: "Oh, damn. My wireless mouse ran out of batteries. Better get some new ones!" - completely oblivious to the pandemonium unfolding around him as the facility goes to hell. Heh.

Name: Karina Narachi

Appearance: Karina has jet black hair which she usually keeps in a functional ponytail to prevent it from getting in her eyes while she is on duty. Her hazel eyes betray nothing of her emotions or feelings and she typically is wearing a neutral expression. Her face is punctuated by a scar that crosses the edge of her mouth down to her chin. She usually sticks to wearing the standard uniform of security, usually with a beret or no headgear. She is rather short at 5'5" and thin as well, but she possesses a wiry strength that can easily be underestimated; especially when combined with her training.

Job: High Security, Sergeant. She had her own team of three to command, before they were separated.

Relation with Other Departments: Karina was trusted by the Administration to keep things under control and more importantly, under wraps. As a result, most of the scientists disliked her for her "cleaning" jobs.

Role in Creating the Incident: Karina and her team were heading down to the test subject holding area to investigate a report of a teleportation incident when an explosion and several subjects escaped and separated Karina and her team from each other.

Where You Were and What You Were Doing 5 Minutes Ago: She was running from several angry subjects before she ducked into a ventilation duct (ha!) and ended up in the closet.

Wondering... when you say, "bloody SD card", do you mean, covered in blood, or British English, "bloody"?

Literally covered in blood. Dried, caked, blood.

Would dried blood be like hard candy to vampires? Or is that too gruesome?
