Orion is fairly laid back, don't mess with the course and everything will be rainbows and sunshine.
She is a frequent and heavy sleeper, this has gotten her in trouble countless times.
Orion claims to hate every battle she's ever fought, to some degree this is a lie, though she wont admit it. The pressure of these situations has produced her best work. During a raid it is fairly common to hear her saying it will be her last, which is also a lie.
She appears to be highly unorganized to an outsider but she has her own convoluted system of doing things that only she seems to be able to understand, all anyone knows is that she is always ready and always get the job done.
Background:
Born on one of the older colonies Orion's life was one of contradiction. Her planet was one that lost a good deal of technology but gained in some rather odd areas, cosmetics, party supplies, and anything deemed 'fun' was supported by their very own (and possibly crazy) corrupted AI. The government was extremely tight and ruled with iron fist but every day was literally a party. Everything was run for the people and they partied for the sake of partying. While this might seem like an ideal situation, no one worked and everything seemingly came from no where. Any one with half a brain would have trouble living here. Luckily for the planet, most people didn't seem to have that, those who did simply vanished and disappeared from the general publics' knowledge.
Orion was born during an era of a trend where people would use the old method of names as well as new one and it was very cool. Orion ate, slept, partied and repeated for 40 years. It was that at about that time her parents both questioned the system and disappeared, their combined curiosity was enough to make Orion dangerous. The problem was, there was nothing wrong with her, in fact she was a model citizen. The government had been watching closely and decided it was about time they put some one on a pedestal, if they couldn't find any thing to dislike about her they might as well throw praise on her. Some how over night Orion became a house hold name. Loved by all and favored by a shadowy government, nothing could possibly go wrong. Her celebrity status also made her a target and eventually it got to her, it the form of a cake laced with the antidote for whatever was controlling the people of her world. That was the last dose ever consumed by anyone on that planet, all traces of it would soon be eradicated. It was as if some one flipped a switch, Orion understood, Orion knew. With that slice of cake (Chocolate, I might add) a new chapter in Orion's life began.
Orion had been changed, she thought for herself but there was an odd side affect, she had a unnatural ability to learn anything perfectly. If she were to apply herself she would have become extremely dangerous but that was not the 42 way, just because she could think freely didn't mean the way she acted changed. After a shady escape from 42, possibly a deal with the government who did not want to go and erase mass memories from their citizens already tampered brains, and her 'death' on that planet, likely followed by a two week celebration for her life and achievements, Orion vanished. She reappeared years later with an astounding knowledge of space, technology, navigation, weaponry/combat, and most importantly Piloting, it is rumored that she can fly just about anything known to mankind.
Notes: No one can party like Orion, her party skills are on a whole other level from most people. Orion never misses, if the shot is possible she can and will make it. She stays mostly within her own area of work but her knowledge is an open book and she will randomly spurt facts from time to time. Orion gets highly agitated when abrupt changes are made to the course. She has various trinkets and devices from her life of 42 as well as many pictures, she lovingly refers to it as a 'Hellish paradise.' Very few people know her other name Nuria as she regards it as very special and her secret obsession is to find planet 0.
