The Jadelyn Empire is one of the richest, most prosperous regions of Mirhandia.

I placed Iver's origin in Suixo, Jadelyn Empire - which is the capital of the empire. It is the most populated city in Mirhandia.

Tal I placed in Iman. It's a dark urban city, with both the Thieves Guild and the Assassins Guild indirectly running it. The Empress of the Jadelyn Empire tolerates it, as it creates a kind of hub for all the scum to gravitate to.

Name: Viktor
Age: 26
Sex: Male
Height: 5'9”
Squad Role: Marine
Appearance:
Medium- lightish build, Still toned and kept trim from years of practising his trade, Bald with usually clean shaven face though during certain missions and theatres that is hardly something that can be reliably done every day. So more often than not he has a fairly rough appearance.

His Chestnut brown leather armour is in layered plates covering his chest, back, shoulders, And fore-arms. Well worn and cracked gauntlets cover his hands, Stained over the years with a multitude of substances but most commonly wine and blood added as another colourful page of his past is written. Some similar stains can also be found on the soles of his boots which are made of a similar toughened leather as his armour. A simple leather helm acts as both a helm and a simple mask to obscure his face during combat and at the very least protect against glacning blows and half-hearted shots. A simple and faceless piece but it serves it's purpose until he can get something made specially for him and of far better material. Though his cheeks are still mostly visible.

For weapons he can usually be seen with a Spear of some kind, He currently enlisted with a Glaive in hand. A six foot pole topped with over a foot of wickedly keen and elegently curved edge that ends in a savage looking point for stabbing. The bottom of the glaive also has a simple spike as both an emergecy weapon but also common with most (well made at least) pole-arms to help set the weapon against a cavalry charge.

Aside from the usual travelling pack and it's standard contents he carried a long Dirk on his belt as a secondary weapon and for butchering the animals he hunts. A light crossbow and a simple quiver of a dozen bolts hang from his belt.

Simple woad coloured tribal tattoo's shaped like Fierce looking talons made out of lighting visible even when his armour and helmet are on, One down each side of his neck, shaped and vindicitive of the namesake of his tribe.

Origin: (Rabad, Kordish tribesman of the Sky Ponies, willing to take name suggestions on that one)

Background:
Viktor was born In Rabad amongst one of the many tribes of Kord. He was fortunate enough to be born into one of the more liberal tribes. Ones that were willing to trade the goods they gathered such as exotic skins and precious stones that were largely worthless to them but they quickly discovered were very valued to the so called 'civilized' lands and it's people. They were able to take and trade these worthless things(to them) in exchange for Better quality leathers, Horses, And weapons and a myriad of other tools and essentials that were often of far better craft than they could make themselves. Their more 'puratin' brotheren in the other tribes who often shunned the weakness of the city walls and the stench of the crowded streets and slums.

But this willingness to interact and deal with the outside world gave the tribe the strength and means to grow. They learned of new weapons and how to use them. They learned how to manipulate greed of soft metals and shiny gemstones. They also quickly found out that the nearbye lands of Hylos were almost always looking for mercenaries they could hire. With each Baron and count being responsible for the raising, equipping and paying of the Forces to protect his own lands there was naturally a semi permanent air of mutual distrust amongst the lords of Hylos, each having access to what was essentially a private army loyal to his lands and himself. With the armies of the Counties and Baronies only standing shoulder to shoulder when the threat of the entire kingdom was looming over them. As such Mercenaries were quite the valued commodity between the Barons as men who didn't wear the colours of a particular county could be written off as bandits or any such rabble if they failed or succeeded in their task. Few suspected the wild tribes of kord of all things would descend into their homes.

His tribe had several interactions in particular serving the county of Holstmarch in the Northeast of the kingdom. The tribe would often give the service of a few strong warriors in exchange for weapons, food and livestock of all kinds. Viktor himself was hired for any manner of dealings from a simple raid to take and control the mines inside a rival Baron's lands or destabalize his authority over a region in some way. It was During this time that Viktor took his current name. Because it was a common enough name he encountered in the Holstmark but also because it was a name the people outside his tribe could pronounce. And he supposed it had grown on him over the years. He also learned many of his skills campaigning within these lands. The horses they traded and bought were valuable for so many reasons and riding them became a skill most tribesman had ot learn. The constant forrays against guards and hired bandits helped hone combat skills for many like himself. New fangled machines like crossbows, gears, watermills. These were wonders to his eyes and marvels of engineering he could never have imagined much less seen on the plains of Kord. And of course there was also the ever loved discovery of wine and ale.

But eventually the barons that were hiring the tribe grew to frequent and bold in their demands and the king had to step in and condem their actions. Of course the Barons were quick to lay blame on the Tribesman. To try and rub the stains from their hands and feign innocence or even intimidation. One going so far as to say they held members of his lands hostage and he was only complying to their bloodthirsty demands to save innocent Hylosian lives. The tribe knew well enough when their welcome had run out. But it hardly mattered to them at this point. They never set foot fully within Hylosian borders save a few dozen at a time so, powerful Horses laden with tools and necessities that made them far better off and defendable against the many other tribes that would undoubtedly try to steal their good fortune from them. They retreated into the plains of Kord where no Hylosian king could touch them or differentiat them from any other tribe.

But there were a small handful that did not retreat into the plains with their family. They had a taste of the wider world, of the sights and experiences it could offer and it stirred him and others like him to part with their tribe, with countless promises to return to the evening fires with tales and items gallore of far away lands and unimaginable sights to be seen. With new stories to share and feats to enrich the history and honour of the tribe.

He spent another year within the bounds of Hylos. Doing largely the same work he was doing before though on a much smaller scale. And with the king breathing down the Baron's necks since it got very nearly out of hand the number of and coin earned from such ventures started to become slim. He quickly took the step to move on From Hylos and take the stand upon hearing of Mercenaries gathering to do the same work he had come to enjoy so much. The coin he did earn from the days with the tribe bought him as much equipment as he currently owns.

Skills:
Skilled with Pole-arm combat of a small handful of styles, and taking advantage of agility that lighter armours can provide. Though he is not against donning a breastplate or chainmail with little inhibitions, But he can wear heavier if the situation warrants. His discomfort and unfamiliar gait speaks plainly enough for how his abilities suffer while doing so however.
He is also a good climber and enjoys personal hobbies such as Scrimshaw and whittling. It makes him a few coins to sell a piece every now and again. Enough for him to replace tools, buy the bones and tusks needed (usually there is some dead animal that is able to part with something.) if necessary and a drink or two.
He can hunt, Having had to forage for food enough times in his life to pick up the do's and don'ts and how not to shoot ones self in the foot with a crossbow. And butchering the animal may be an altogether unsavoury experience at times, but not one he is incapable or unwilling to do.
intermediate riding skills as well. For horses only He can control the beast provided it isn't unreasonably hot tempered and even ride into battle atop it and hopes to save up to buy a fine warhorse of his own. A pure thorough bred, as fast as the wind and stronger than iron. One he can armour and have lash out with hooves of steel, cracking skulls and crushing ribs.
But a more common beast will suffice until than. Either taken from an enemy corpse or purchased.

Reason for joining the Fifth Echelon:
Money is tight, And freelance work is drying up recently. Seeing that most seem to be hiring groups such as this as the years pass in stead of a mass hiring of individual mercenaries this seemed like the best option.
That and he is hardly farmer material, not does he wish to spend his youth and waste his hard earned skills doing as such. Someday maybe he will that that picture-esque retirement with a good woman and a full purse. But not today.

Other information:
As per the nature of his tribe and their beliefs in the spirits of the Storm Talons possessing of Majestic wings and screeching beaks. The Animals the more civilized lands refered to as 'birds of prey' These animals like many others of fierce or powerful nature found on the plains of Kord, are important to Kordish spirituality. Specific animals are often revered in certain tribes over others. The Storm Talons learned ways to augment the training and care of some of the many falcons and ever vultures that fly overhead and watch over the tribes movements. But where as other peoples may treat a falcon as a simple pet a Kordish knows his true worth. It is neither a pet nor is it to be owned. The beautiful Kestral gifted to him by his tribe upon leaving was meant to act as a guide and protector in strange lands. But he does not keep it bound by a leash. It is free to roam and hunt as it sees fit. Even to abandon Viktor completely if it feels he us either undeserving of its help or simply strong and wise enough that it is no longer needed. He feeds it, Takes care of it as if it is the same as any friend or comrade. He would gladly offer up his last morsel of meat to feed it's belly over his own.
The signature below, hereby, signs up Viktor under the service of the Fifth Echelon Mercenary Host, for a period of three months.
Viktor is allowed to freely leave before the three months, after being paid for the amount he or she served, only after the first major engagement.
4 Silver coins a week of service. Bonus coinage or rewards may be given depending on quality of service or performance during engagements.
Signature: Viktor

I was asked to clarify my ideas for the cultures of Mirhandia. Here is my take on it. I will also add this to the first page.

Just a brief skim through of how the cultures are in Mirhandia.

The hub of kingdoms around the Jadelyn Empire, as well as those nations around Suratar can be considered a late medieval time Europe. The Jadelyn Empire is considered as one of the more powerful nation of Mirhandia. The natives there are similar to Europeans.

Below Tysus, as you go down to to the Tetrarchy of Klanat, think the Middle East/Arabian sort of vibe, when they were at their peak. Golden domes, skilled archer riders, that sort of stuff. The natives there, you guessed it, are a darker skin color just like the natives of the Middle East.

To the west of the south-west of the Tetrarchy, arround Dissor, we have a kingdom coalition of kingdoms and countries which are mostly covered in forests. The people here are of a more lithe, taller build, with tanned skin and slanted eyes. Some of the greatest archers in Mirhandia come from those parts. Also, a non-human rice similar to elves dwell in those parts, although very secluded.

To the west of that, Xenth and Athet. Athet, and half of Xenth, are covered by expansive jungles. Think of the African jungles. The people here are dark ebony skinned. The second half of Xenth is a desert.

North of Xenth, that whole continent with Nibas, Niseoma, etc... has similar physical attributes and culture as of Asia. To be precise, Japan/China.

I suggest Safebooru. It was where - after all that painful searching - I dug up Jayda's image. Actually, 99% of my character images come from there these days ^_^

EDIT: In the event that you're creating a male character (hard to come by on the booru network for some reason) Zerochan.net is also a good choice, but you'll have to download the images and upload them elsewhere.

true especially people who are kind of supposed to be "holy" figures like healers or paladins, i mean come on a female paladin should be wearing enough plate to make a t-72 tank feel envious but no she's got all her vitals exposed for a clever archer to take care of.
