Nobody, That would be wonderful.Diamond, SOme things I'll have problems with is the traveling the world, Japanese of the time were kind of isolationist didn't really like leaving home etc. Also a Ninja especially of the Iga clan wouldn't be allowed to corrupt his training with other countries less than adequate training.

Groovy. Also is that enough backstory? If not I can think of more.

Eh, it isn't less than adequate as it'll prove useful in PvP, if not I'll edit my backstory for a master in Japan who does the bits and bobs I want.

@Diamond it wouldn't really matter if it was useful in player versus player (Even though this isn't a player versus player RP per se so much as just a roleplay) I'd rather not turn this RP into a hack and slash that's far from what I want it to be, there will be lots of politics, diplomacy, duels, subterfuge, sabotage, and yes there will be fighting, but fighting is not the focus. Don't create your character to be the most powerful, that would be rather aggravating to me as I didn't make this RP to be a combat oriented roleplay. That's getting off subject though. You're a Iga Ninja you'd train with the Iga Ninjas that's really all there is to it.

@Nobody, You're good. Much better.

@Diamond Shinji can keep their skills, though the martial arts will have to be strictly that of what would be trained in japan. I cannot accept the character until you fix your history.

What if a master of those martial arts was in japan?

I'm sorry, I'm just not going to be able to accept foreign martial arts of that nature, it's easier to keep up with this way.

@Geisha Girl: I was just wondering, before I got to involved in the characters, are they seeming alright so far?

I just want to know nothing blatantly wrong is going on before I spend to much time on their back story and things of that nature.

Okay, as Co-GM, I feel I should back my fearless leader up a little here.

Diamond, The Iga Ninja would banish any member of the order if they so much as showed the slightest inkling of wishing to learn any combat style other than Iga Ninjutsu, the Fuma were also the same, the only exceptions to both of these clans, were Hanzo Hatori, Personal Bodyguard of Ieyasu Tokugawa, and Kotaro Fuma, the leader of the clan, who was also seen as an Oni.

As such, even knowing other martial arts from around Asia would seem infeasable, since it was seen that only Pirates would cross over to the mainland of Asia or back, the exceptions being the other Islands of Japan, and that wasn't just within certain clans it was ALL of feudal Japan, in short, you character would know only one martial art style, and even then, being a master is highly unlikely unless he was trained by Hanzo Hatori or one of the other higher-ranking Iga Ninja themselves.

Other than that, and the travelling, I don't see too much wrong, other than you've crafted your character almost entirely towards combat.

So, basically, No travelling the world, No other Martial arts, and only Fighting style's focussed around his classification, being a Ninja, so, for equipment, that pole would be unfeasable, also 'other ninja' is way too OP, add Most to the beginning of that phrase, and i'm comfortable with your character.
Regarding everyone else, I've read through in bits and pieces, but, I'm with Geisha on the fact that you're all good to go with that, so, just Shinji needs a bit of tweaking, and I'm happy.

Since I'm playing a Ninja of the rival clan, I can tell for a fact that in order to have any presence in this RP, I'll need to MASSIVELY boost my characters skills and abilities, and equip him with some seriously non-Ninja weapons. Which I don't wish to do. Only Hanzo and Kotaro are deemed as 'greater' than the average Ninja, sure, each Ninja can have an edge in one or two fields, but not a single one is 'perfect'

Now, if anyone needs me, I'll get back to my CS

It is sort of both lol A Ronin is a Samurai without a Master, and to be without a master meant you had no Honor lol The honor you had was given by servitude to a Master. I believe that is correct?

And he would be considered a Ronin. What faction he joins is up to you, I believe lol. Though depending on how you want to use him a Ronin might be best fitted for a Kabuki-mono spot. Or if he is still a good person then it doesn't matter lol

And Yasuo is a traditional sounding Japanese name. :)

Again, not a GM nor Co-GM but I thought I would offer my two-cents. If anything is wrong please feel free to correct me almighty leader. :P

EDIT 1:

@Whoever was talking about Matsudaira relationships. I would be down :)

Edit 2:

I will be working on finishing my two characters sheets right now :)

Nope, that's about right, though, a Ronin could also have surpassed their master, or, be a Master Samurai who's lost their student, basically put, Ronin = Lone Samurai, either thsough loss of honour, student or surpassing their tutor, though, surpassing would be very, very rare.

Ty u will get working in my character, but before I do that I have one more question, my character failed to protect his village elder/master and know he is wanted for murder. And Yasuo was trained to wield the blade and move like the wind. Would that be a viable fishing style, or do I need to elaborate on it.

If I am correct...

I don't think, in that scenario, that he would be wanted for murder.

More then likely he would be expected to commit Sepukku (or ritual sacrifice) and the fact that he did not would label him as a coward without honor.

You, Silent, are correct.

As for his fighting style, Leo, you'd need to elaborate, how does he fight exactly, does he go for the quick kill, or does he like to draw combat out?

Yes yes I understand I will elaborate and go into mare detail in his bio.

As for his failure, Yasuo was sent to protect the village elder while it was under attack. But because he saw that his brethren were losing he decided to leave his post and help his brothers push the enemy back. They did win but by the time he returned to his post the elder had been assassinated, but he had been killed by that same style that Yasuo was thought to use, and he was qthe only person in the village the elder had thought technique to.

So to shorten things because of the fact that the way the elder was killed in the same way Yasuo killed they assumed he was the killer.
