History: Vicar spent his entire life in Sharlton, born to a guardsman and the daughter of a local merchant. From a young age you could tell that he was a born leader as he ran around with his friends. They were always getting in to mischief and stirring up trouble and there was Vicar leading the charge and shouting the loudest whoorahhs. Though he it wasn't all fun and games. His father trained him how to handle a sword, how to act with honor and duty, and how to protect those who can't protect themselves instilling in him the core values of which he lives his life.
As was expected when he was old enough he joined the Guard. Though a small city it was hardly a place to gain renown and to climb through the ranks, your average day nothing more then kids stealing some bread or tormenting a shop owners. Nothing like the crime of larger cities, though he almost preferred it this way as fame and glory was never anything he aspired to attain. He enjoyed his early years, most of his friends all joined with him and they served together. Despite the quite nature though Vicar was noticed by his superiors for his diligence and ability. This is why when bandits appeared raiding near by farms and even some smaller villages he was given orders to join a number of men going to find them.
For the first time in his career he had a job outside of the walls as he put into a group to hunt down the near by bands and either bring them in or eliminate them. Though he had no real desire to kill anybody he found he was able to handle his nervous well, as this would also be his first real experience with battle. For a week they traveled searching for the bandits before they had finally caught up to them. In the battle that fallowed Vicar faught along side his fellow guardsman, but more then that his natural ability to lead came out and showed on the battlefield. The aftermath of that encounter was a promotion for him
Life for him was good, he had steady income his own place and he had even caught the eye of a young woman of a near by farm. Soon he was married and starting a family of his own. He attained the rank of captain and was well respected for as he mostly worked in maintaining order in the areas surrounding the city. It was more dangerous then your average guardsman seeing as he spent more time away from the safety of the city, but it also is one of the reasons he was able to get promoted so quickly.
Though such a life would not last for long as fate always seemed to have other plans then what you desire. When the dead descended on the city vicar was there on the front lines fighting to push back the horde. As the tides began to change it was clear that the city was doomed, despite this Vicar and his men faught on trying to get as many people out as they could but they were slowly being overwhelmed. His unit held longer then most, but like all eventually they broke. Escape was the only thing important now as he rushed to his home, to try to save his family.
Upon arrival of his home he found that he was to late as before his eyes laid the sight of his family ripped apart and food for the dead. After that he blacked out, though his mind resigned to simply die, his body faught on until he escaped.
Personality- Before the attack on Sharlton Vicar was a very upbeat and happy person. He could be stern and he could be soft often depending on what the situation called for. He loved nothing more then to laugh with friends and family, to joke and tease event to get into friendly fights. Vicar was everything you would expect from some one who dedicated his life to his family and his work.
Though since the attack that has changed, he is much more quite and if it wasn't for his anger he would be as dead inside as the horde that took everything from him. His sense of duty and revenge are all he has left and are what drive him forward every day. This is reflected even in his fighting as he is much more aggressive of a fighter and while he has always had the ability to remain calm and think in battle and in stressful situations. Now it is more like he is completely devoid of anything as he calls out orders and lacks any compassion. Though there are still moments where the old him peaks out.
