I guess if we;re working for a fixer, not a corporation, I'll arbitrarily add in the company Lei-Ne owes her debt to,

Well, the fixer just sets up the job. I just haven't figured out which corp wants in on the action.

So let's just say, um, Renraku. The runners won't know who they're working for when they get the job, but I'm sure there'll be a few hints ;)

Some fixers also act as the Johnson, I guess—or at least a proxy for the Johnson. Depends on how private they want to be. Some prefer Matrix meetups, but I think we're gonna go with a classic: the backroom of a nightclub.

Renraku gets really, really pissed when people fail. like hunt down their families pissed.

That being said think anyone would care if I steal a copy of the blueprints?

I think you're thinking of Mistuhama, Ollum. Mitsuhama and Saeder-Krupp are the really draconian ones (and the latter has an actual dragon as the CEO).

Renraku has its moments, that much I remember from my games. It may not be the worst offeneder but it doesn't tend to forget those who screwed them overnight.

True. So I think Thovren better not make a copy of those blueprints if he values his testicles :D

I agree! I think the team hacker would be happy to help Thovren sell the paydata.

Just don't let Lei-Ne know. She'll want in with all her bad luck and bad gambling habits.

Selling comes after I already use it to make a drone or two for myself.

Stealing from a megacorp is one thing. they can kind of expect that. But blackmailing a megacorp is impossible. Especially with a stolen blueprint because they can deny ever knowing of our existance or envolvement. That's what makes shadowrunners so common and widely used. We cant simply turn around and blackmail people because we are admitting our own criminal guilt and the company gets harmed in no way.

Or using it as leverage on someone else?

Yeah, you could easily go "Hey, I've got this drekhot blueprint for a new combat drone. If you want it, I'm gonna need some answers."

Exactly! Plus megacorps love getting things for "free". The almighty dollar has loosened many lips...
