Now I would disagree with Daedhel being in trouble, Ivory :P she chose to throw herself into it and I'm yet to know whether she is fighting well or is about to be violently murdered due to being an idiot. But meeting up will be awesome - If Dae is slightly not nice to your character when they first talk don't take it personally xD

Well, I just laid down my first post. I just want to say what I said to Gourm already; my first language is French and I may make some weird mistakes from time to time, especially if I forget to read myself a second time. Which happens more than it should. Sorry. I hope my posts will be up to par, and I seek to get better. :)

Im not dead im just skimming through the posts and realizing with dread that none of them so far tie to my character so I might as well disregard them and work it piece by piece as a 3 way act, at times I do so hesitate by the ammount of words that are of actual meaning to the story and then remember that it would serve to color the situation of the Coals and their view on things

In any case I found a gallery on imgur that caught my eye, it is for the most part an evolution on the gear used by the british back from the dark ages to the present day, naturally it touches the period of our inspiration so it might help you as much as it did to me

@ Skulls - Try to stay indoors and not drive until the turkey-sleep apnea wears off. One need not risk the roads or driving drowsy so don't rush the pedal.

@ Ivory - We're growing as writers so don't fret and keep challenging yourself. I also didn't notice any errors and the post was as enjoyable as the others so your writing's fine!

@ Romaneck - Thank you for the photo references; gives us a insightful glance into the equipments English heavy infantrymen carried through the centuries. After the fourth reference, you really notice differences in armor issues and by the last three, you the identified equipments are quite extensive and easily confined within our own era's combat gear .

Ahhhh, well ... writing a post as we speak. I'll certainly include several mentions for the Coals so you're not in the dark, Romaneck. In the meantime, keep writing and if I don't post by the time you've finished, carry on and float your own IC post 8)

I would oblige, but I don't see how our characters can cross paths right now.

Believe me, I won't, Ivory. It is what I'm expecting to happen (an attempt at least) and so is my character. But she'll try to sweet talk her way out if trouble first.

At least all the character's paths will cross at the dinner they have been invited to - while two of my characters are with others I see no way for Corisande to come near anyone else - not with her job and stuff

After my next post, which is, by the way, nearly finished, I think we're ready for a time skip! These characters have a lot of room for exploration even if they aren't entirely related or within close proximity. If you both would like to tie characters together, I can certainly think of nefarious ways for various cross character interactions ;). The dinner gathering will undoubtedly solve this and bring opportunities for crossing plot arcs and further world exploration and an insight into the precarious political nature surrounding the various nobles populating Valania.

I also have another development in that we may have another writer joining us. Skulls, Romaneck; I'm not sure if you've met Anderan, but he was present during another Altaea story run back on Roleplay Gateway. If any of you see him, please welcome him to our growing family!

Fern and company, if you've plot ideas or future story developments, float something my way and we'll see if we can't incorporate them. I've already started a rich stew with Nevis, Romaneck, and Ivory and more ideas can only enhance it's delicacy!

Glad Adrianna has finally issued her debute, Konica! Keep developing your post and adding a new perspective to the story. Ahhhh … during an earlier Altaea roleplay story, I once remember collaborations with another writer who sought to achieve a similar vibe to Adrianna's personality. Additionally, his character's ambitions were much more underhanded and had he worked through a botched story collaboration, there would've been several interesting developments within the storyline preceding Age of Revolution. Unfortunately, he lost his temper as some premature, hot-headed writers do and fell off the wagon before we even gave Valania and its characters a chance. If you want to know the details, Konica, Romaneck; float me a PM and I'll forward my notes for some … ahhh … verrrrrrrrrrrrrrry interesting plot hooks to incorporate and with your help, we can breath more life into the world 8)

Peik, keep writing and let me just refine my finished post! I'll be sure to make passing references so that Korkud's own activities becomes integral to the conflict in Voltas.

I've made a post. Kept it vague to make sure it didn't interfere with anything, and to help with the time skip.

Vagueness does open doors, Peik and will give us room to see more of his part of Carcassonne in addition to areas surrounding Voltas. I feel that at some point of the story, we all owe Sarife additional attention and development since I envisioned it as having a rich history alongside Valania's. Going to really enjoy Adrianna, Korkud, and Ashradar's arcs in addition to our other characters!

Also, allow me to offer everyone congratulations for unlocking Episode 1: Absolutum Dominium! New post's also up so take the time to enjoy the scenes and the aforementioned links to background music 8)

Edit: I've come to realize that I would not want to be our protagonists' enemies. Severed, pike mounted, heads, demonically executed ambushes, flawlessly accurate knives, and stupidly wealthy financial output makes my hair stand .

Actually I'll probably get Dae up tomorrow - after reading your reply four times I decided I really wanted to start a reply xD She's actually in quite a sticky situation... While I'm really rather glad that Maria and the shield maidens arrived as otherwise she didn't stand a chance she know has to escape being arrested. Of course she has to subtly threaten, or not so subtly, someone before trying to get out. Reply may be a bit short and not the best but it'll do when it comes

I certainly wouldn't want to be any of their enemies. Although theyre probably dead so I doubt they have much time for thinking about it

I'm an acquaintance (well, I think I can say friend, now :P) of GourmetItalia's from Sinistred's When the Smoke Clears, and I've just come back from a.. fairly long hiatus from the site.

Anywho, we were chatting away in PMs about a week ago (before I vanished again, as I became snowed under with study in preparation for my exams!), and your lovely GM extended me an invitation to come and join in on this game! =)

I'm not sure if that offer is still open (as it has been a week), but I would love to join you guys if it is, and you'd be willing to have me. ;) I'm reading through the OOC now, (although it is 1AM, so I'll probably have to do it again in the morning), and I'll start work on a Character Sheet.. tomorrow, probably, if there's still some room for a new character or two!
