It only took me like five days to figure out I needed to actually post the updated CS here. SORRY
#0104 - Valerie Sangster
AKA: Val
GENDER: ♀
AGE:/[b] 26
[b]DATE OF BIRTH: 15/02/2581
BIRTHPLACE: The Moon
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: Her stomach has a deep, ugly scar which she conceals religiously.
PERSONALITY:
She's sweet - Kind, caring, all that jazz! She's got a personality that screams sweet like sugar and the voice to match it.
She's law abiding - Okay well she doesn't follow the UNES rules but the rules on the ship? The rules on the Missions? The.. Any other rules? Don't step out of line in front of her unless you want an earful!
She's loud - Inside voice? That -is- her inside voice. Cover your ears ladies, it's about to get loud.
She's a pretty good fighter - Well. She has to be! In a rebellion, there's no TIME to sit and drink tea! Her preferred weapon is the gun.
She's fashion forward - She'll wear armour. But only if it goes with her hair. She'll do her make-up. But only if the colour matches her eyes. She'll judge your outfit faster than she'll judge your personality. But, well, an outfit can say a lot about a person!
LIKES: Shouting. Being bossy. Obeying orders. Sweet foods and drinks. Food. Drinks. Food. Sweet foods. Eating. Napping. Cold areas. Beauty and fashion
DISLIKES: Sour things. LOSING THINGS, which she does too much. Getting disobeyed. Also, abnormally large rocks in unnatural areas. Rather specific but if they look out of place, Val is gonna get a bad vibe from the whole area. Don't use large rocks as an indoor decoration if you want to be friends with her.
TALENTS: She's a pretty good shot, I guess. She's no gun expert, despite it being one of her desired weapons. She'll shoot something but only if necessary. She's small and fast, agile too, but can't even lift a two-handed sword. She's no Mr Muscle so don't ask her to carry your books unless you want then dropped.
PSYCHE ABILITIES: None
FAMILY: Her mum, dad and baby sister on the Moon. A small family which she loved and left. Does she regret it? Sometimes. Does she miss them? Yes. Her baby sister - Cherry, she misses the most!
HISTORY: She was born with her family, on a distant, pretty poor planet. They'd always lived there and she hated it! Her family were scrap traders, they lived near a scrap heap and Val used to go out and take out the good stuff - give it a clean and vendor it off for as much as cheap bits of scrap would be bought for in a poor planet like she lived in. She sold it at a little stall on the streets. Her parents worked in a more official trading business, luckily, but they didn't have highly paying jobs and only got enough to get by but income was income! Her cheap scrap selling got her enough for her "Weekly sweety supplies" She liked to refer to them as supplies since it made her feel like her life was an action film where she could stock up on supplies with her meagre earnings. Getting by. Little did she know that her life -was- like that. Her parents rising early and working late just to get enough food to supply them.
Since she was ten she began admiring the space crews. Her scrap heap was the container of most things space-ship and she'd build herself "Cockpits" and play space crew with the neighbourhood kids, she'd developed a talent to strike a little bit of happiness in a bad situation. She realised only a year or two later the reality of the situation when her mother lost her job and had to find another one, their money income was practically stopped. Her mother inspired her to take up fighting and self defence when she was fourteen but as they couldn't afford official lessons at that time, she took to just training in the scrap heap with whatever she could find. Come sixteen and she's what they'd call an aspiring Professional, by then her mother had gotten a job and she had enough to pay for a few official training sessions. But then her mother had another baby. She hated the idea that this child would suck them dry, but this grew to a loyal, bonded love for her little sister (Now three years old - four coming next year's April), as they grew up, Val's trading dream morphed more into a leadership dream. She begun more intense training as soon as she was of age.
She got herself a job a little way away from where she lived and worked from early morning to late at night, saving up as much as she could to take a leadership training course in a different planet, eager to escape the binding poverty of her current planet. When she turned sixteen, she hadn't gotten enough to pay for the course but enough to pay for a trip to a wealthier planet and the cheapest living area she could find. Living in a small room, which she shared with a near stranger to help pay it off, working early morning to late nights and desperately saving up to get the course she wanted. She got a better job there, after a good few months trying. She knew now to just keep your head down and follow orders. It was drilled into her through moral training most strict. She followed the orders obediently, and got a promotion. That's just how things were. Come nineteen years old she started her course, a three year captaining course. It took up most of her weeks but the weekends, which she spent working the Five-to-Nine to pay off the stingy little living area she'd gotten.
