Minan took a seat, his standard issue firearm at his waist. As much as he loved his more traditional weapons, they were a pain to carry around. He looked around at everyone else, and seeing someone else doing the same thing, gave them a polite smile. There was another man with his elbows on the table, which he took to be highly unprofessional, especially in front of the Granjudge. He didn't say anything, and absently turned his attention to his hands.

Kal had just finished off the last of medical documents for the annual flu vaccine that was required of the whole (at least human) crew, and furrowed his brow as he stood, casually strolling down the passageway out of sickbay and into the main coridor, the large holo-board pointed to the Grand Hall where the meeting was being held.

He'd orginally wanted to be outside and relish in nature's beauty. Yet - his medical duties came first as he slowly opened the door to the Grand Hall slowly, seeing everyone had already seated themselves. He sheepishly looked for a seat and hoped not to draw any attention to his tardiness.

Signal caught the door after Kal walked in, pushing it back open and quietly sitting down in the first seat they could find, next to Kal.
"Late to my first staff meeting, great way to start," they mumbled, folding their hands awkwardly.
They looked up at the people around them, most of which had already settled in. They'd only seen a few of them before the meeting, waking up late had some disadvantages.

dragul looked around. everyone was taking a seat. perhaps he should as well. he walked down the aisles, his huge suit towering over everyone. he walked all the way down to the front and then back up, no seat. maby one of the ones in the back could fit his suit? he went a bit down one aisle and sat in a chair....correction, it was actually three. for a few seconds the chairs threatened to colaps and send him tumbling, but held his weight. sadly all good things must come to an end. all three chairs collapsed simultaneously, and the huge suit met the ground with a loud thud. dragul slowly stood up and moved to the back. maby it would be better if he stands.

Noticing the loud crash General Irin raised an eyebrow, then turned to face the doors.

"Without further forestalling, if you would esteemed soldiers." He said motioning for the doors to be opened.

The soldiers nodded and slowly pulled the doors open, revealing the GranJudge in all of her splendor. She walked out onto the podium preparing to address the large crowd.

"Hear me out, loyal soldiers." She spoke out, gazing at the assembly before her. "Our place in this vast ocean of never-ending stars is a finite one. We cannot survive here. We will not survive here." She continued. "We can only delay our indefinite end, adrift in a maelstrom of chaos." She said. "But, until that time comes, we are the ones in charge. The very reins of time itself are planted firmly in our hands to do with what we see fit." She said. " you are agents of Taros, and you ARE the last line of defense." She spoke out.

Jubiryon lowered her gaze as a few soldiers stood up to clap

"Now onto business" She said picking up a stack of papers. " All new Taros agents have received 50,000 units, all current members have been given their annual 250,000 unit salary, so rest easy and spend it responsibly." She continued raising her eyes from the papers and to back to the crowd. " Spar training for all Taros agents will begin in a few hours so prepare yourselves. This is how we judge where you stand in the alliance. Perform to the best of your abilities." She said.

Jubiryon turned and descended from the podium and walked towards the entrance where an armored convoy was waiting. the figures of 4 cloaked people could be noticed standing near the entrance.

Dominic sighs with an annoyed look on his face. "I really don't want to do this" like all members of the military he is well trained. As a special operations soldier he is trained beyond the average even knowing that when his unit was called to support agents, he was almost shamed on how he and his men were at best cannon fodder as it were.

Minan had never enjoyed filler in speeches, but was used to hearing it constantly in his political circle. Besides, new recruits always needed that, right? So once the Granjudge finally got onto business, he was almost surprised at the fact that they were all called in for something as trivial as that. Spar training again, yeah? While he had things to do and things he wanted to do before that, he wasn't about to say anything on it. Once Jubiryon was gone and the formalities of her arrival ended, the lieutenant stood up, stretching his arms over his head and glancing at some of the new recruits. Maybe he would get to know them better during spar training.

Training. That was always fun. Afu was special personnel and had been trained with both her body and a sword. Plus, people underestimated her. A lot. I mean seriously, I know she seems young but they don't have to hold back. It makes it more pitiful if they get beaten.

Turok glances over at Captain Martinez. This isn't the first time Turok had to prove to his team leader that he is fit for his duty. After all, he had to prove to everybody really. He wishes of the day that he gets promoted to the same or even higher rank than his Father in a hope that he can tell him what he really thinks after all these years. It seems hopeless, so many years to put in if he was going to get anywhere. By then surely his Father would be too old and timid or would have even passed away. Although after all these years of not seeing him after he left Turok at the recruitment office, the man surely had something to say.

Signal hopped out of their seat, looking around once again. Sparring... That meant they'd have to fight the other soldiers, right? Hearing Dominic's declaration, they sighed as well. "Good to hear I'm not the only one." Looking him over, Signal decided he must've known more about what was going on than they did. "I have a feeling we're dreading it for different reasons, though."
The only one they weren't worried about was Afu, but when they thought about it, she was probably chosen for a reason if she was so young. Something had I make up for it, probably some bizarre amount of skill, but they were confident that the age difference would give them the upper hand if they were to fight.

Kal furrowed his brow, rubbing his chin as he looked around him. 'A training bout?' He thought, standing up. "And what of the limitations? Are there any rules we should be wary of?" Kal suddenly said , training his sight on the GrandJudge.

General Irin turned to address the crowd a final time before they were dismissed

"Alright, now if all enlisted soldiers would head to the Epiplex facility, your training can begin. Bear in mind that this is hand-to-hand combat, so none of your weapons will be allowed. Shouldn't be to hard for you should it?" Irin said while heading for the entrance.

Zira found the whole training thing tedious more than anything, but she had to do it anyway. She shrugged at the thought that she couldn't use her equipment, however her tail was as lethal as any knife and it's not exactly removable. It made no difference to her.

oh joy, combat sparing. dragul felt bad for whoever was put up agenst him. the suit provided him with some advantages that others cant cope with, like power. but at least the veterans know about his weakness, so he was beatable. but he felt really bad for the rookies. not only are the new hear and thus a bit overwhelmed and scared, but they may have to fight dragul, who is big, Harding, scary, and slow. hopefully he dose not mess with their self esteem to much by being there.and its not like he could fight without the suit or in a different one, unless they want to fight during a space walk. at least their is no garenti that he has to fight. maby they will just let him watch? with a air of disappointment (?) he heads towards the epiplex facility.

No weapons. That didn't scare Afu. She was as good, if not better, without her sword. It was what her brother had trained her for before she got her sword, so why should Afu worry. Afu began walking towards the Epiplex Facility, quickly catching up to Dragul.

Kal walked behind the group towards the Epiplex Facility, mulling over exactly how he planned on beating the others. Hand to hand had never really been his strong suit, though, he figured that if he could at least beat one or two of the others, then what he lacked in sole brute strength, could be made up in medical knowledge.

Slowly he walked, eyeing up the competition. The one in the large mechanical suit had the most leverage, a smile formed upon his features. 'Most interesting" he chuckled to himself, the thought of such a large suit against such a tiny combatant was, dare he say, funny?

Minan followed the growing crowd out to the Epiplex facility, thinking about who they would put him up against. He preferred the rule against weapons, as he knew many people fought with guns. The blades on his elbows were natural weapons, part of his body, and he wondered if they would allow him to use them. He didn't really see a reason why they wouldn't. He was still good, but fighting on land against natural land dwellers was a detriment to him.

Turok grabs his LMG that was leaning against the side of his seat. He has not intention to use it but he never knows when he'll need it. Walking slowly over to Captain Martinez; Turok rests his LMG on his palm. "Come on Captain, let's get going. I wouldn't want you to miss any of the action after all." Grinning slightly as he spoke eagerly.
