~Character Sheet

Full Name: Miles Shepherd

Age: 11

Blood: Muggleborn

Alignment: Good

House: Hufflepuff

Personality: Miles is a charming young lad at age eleven, who loves his mommy and daddy (and even his older sister Jane, even though she sometimes pinches his cheek or pulls his hair). He is the kind of boy who places a polished red apple on his teachers desk every day, not because he wants to get on his/her good side but because he thinks s/he might be hungry after so many hours of teaching. Miles absolutely adores animals, especially his beagle Baxter, who he unfortunetly wasn't allowed to bring to Hogwarts by his parents. His greatest wish is for a world where everyone is happy and satisfied.

Apart from being nice to everyone and generally jovial, Miles is naive. He thinks other people are like himself and assumes they want him well and that they tell the truth all of the time. Some might accuse Miles of stupidity because of this, but the boy is anything but dumb. It's just that his good nature sometimes keeps him from seeing people for what they really are. This affinity for trusting people has led to other kids trying to bully Miles during his childhood, something they have luckily failed at doing mainly thanks to Miles sister, who has protected him to the best of her ability.

As a sidenote, Miles muggle upbringing has rendered him completely oblivious to Lord Voldemorts existence, and that a war ever took place.

Bio\History: Miles is born and raised in Dartmoor, in southern England. He is the youngest member in a family of four (or five, if you count Baxter the beagle); his mother Laura, his father Dan, his sister Jane, and of course Miles himself. His grandparents are dead on his fathers side, but he loves the frequent visits his family make to his mothers parents, Themla and George, up in Nottingham (their applepie is the best, hands down). His favourite pastime is exploring the vast moor outside the town with his trusty Baxter at his side, imagining all sorts of adventures as he goes. He has lived a happy, carefree life thus far, devoid of misery or unexpected events.

Imagine the shock, then, when the letter from Hogwarts came on the day of his eleventh birthday. Miles, gullible as he is, instantly believed it all to be true and showered his parents with joy and gratitude. Laura and Dan played along during the day, and had a minor (or major) argument that same evening concerning what they believed to be a really nasty prank, and whom it was that was responsible. As things turned out, however, it all WAS real, and Miles got to go to a school where they taught wizardry and witchcraft.

Appearance:

Notable skills: Charms, Transfiguration, Care for Magical Creatures

Wand: Willow wood, 10 inches, a strand of unicorn hair.

Patronus Charm: Not yet discovered.

Pet: None (Baxter is the only one for Miles, even if he likes other animals too).

@Golem Accepted.

Full Name: Professor Randwoth Gurgenhiem
Age: 110
Blood: Pure Blood
Alignment: Good
House: Gryffindor Alumni

Personality: Randwoth's greatest characteristic and the one he would be better known for is his sense of justice and righteousness. He believes all humans deserve equal chances to excel at something, he believes in fairness and equal rights among different kinds of people. Despite his blood heritage as a Pure Blood, Randwoth has no feelings of animosity towards half-bloods, or even muggles. In fact he is quite interested in muggles, and even taught a class decades ago. He is also wise and quite sure of his decisions and actions, it is not to say a form of arrogance, but more self-confidence after decades of experience. He simply trusts his judgement and expect others to do too, and show extreme loyalty to him. Randwoth's natural attitude is that of a friendly mentor, he prefers to leave his disciples learn and take actions on their own, and watches and guides from behind.

Another trait that sets Randwoth from the grumpy lot of the Wizengamot is his high and tasteful sense of humor and lively, upbeat character. He believes that being handed responsibilities in high political places isn't an excuse to become grumpy, dull, and orthodox. He has a certain artistic sense in him, love for the music and visuals. When he is not in his official Headmaster robes, he is usually dressing in modern and contemporary fashion. He also frequently visits muggle cities on his day offs from his responsibilities as Hogwart's Headmaster. He is cheerful around new people, usually non-magical people.

But Randwoth is not all around kind and humorous, he is also quite serious when a situation calls it, and he is most preoccupied and avoids distraction when studying. He also despises ignorance, and can forever absorb a bad impression of racist and discriminating individuals. He does believe in fairness and second chances, but for someone to take advantage of that is among the lowest actions that can be deigned to according to him.

Bio\History: Randwoth was born in November, 1916 in the small village of Feirgunville in Germany. He was born to two wizards, his mother was a half blood Ravenclaw, and his father a pure blood Slytherin. His father was a radical opposer of muggleborns being given positions in the wizardry world. His opinion never changed, but it was slowly extinguished when he got married to a half blood. Randwoth was raised in a middle class home in the village, with a nanny attending his needs while his parents were busy most of the year. He was a lone child, and always played in the fields outside his house, taking love in the beauty of the yellow autumn.

He was taught about magic and the magic world when he was ten, his parents made sure he was well aware and ready. Before turning 11, Randwoth was moved to London and lived with his uncle until he received his first letter from Hogwarts. Randwoth was quite exceptional in his academics and social life, he wasn't a popular student, but he got by well enough and graduated with honors. He pursued further knowledge and was taken as a disciple under the wings of various elite Wizards all around Europe. He resided in London but moved frequently, and sometimes visited his hometown in Germany. His interest in the muggles grew when he witnessed the devastating aftermaths of the Second World War. He was quite disappointed as well, but figured it was a natural course that should be run.

When he was 55 in 1971, after years of teaching in various magical institutes and accumulating oceans of knowledge, he was given the position as a representative for Britain in the International Confederation of Wizards by the then Minister of Magic. during his term serving on the confederation he started to despise the politics of the other members and took an interest to rather teach and inspire than control. So when his time with the confederation was over he moved back to the rural hometown in Germany and stayed there for years, studying.

When Voldemort was first noted as a major threat in Britain, during his first rise, Randwoth was asked by the Wizengamot to investigate the powers behind it using his vast knowledge. Shortly Randwoth joined the Wizengamot as a member and served there for years up until the death of Albus Dumbledore. He was in the United States when Albus was murdered, and Hogwarts was attacked. He was attending pressing matters in there with as much threat, when Voldemort was killed and hogwarts saved Randwoth returned to London to attend the Wizengamot and discuss the matters. 2 years after the attack on Hogwarts Randwoth was appointed Headmaster and ever since was reforming the school.

Notable skills: Deep and vast knowledge in Magic, Muggles, Magical Creatures, and Magic history. Mastery of hundreds of spells, potion making, and enchantments.
Robes:
Wand: Ash, 14 inches, Phoenix feather.
Patronus Charm: A winged lion.
Pet: Maximus. An Albino Lion.

Aww, I know that I feel, getting ninja'd in RPs is frustrating xD But he did PM me first, we should avoid this next time by informing each other who will take up the random encounter. Anyway, the Headmaster will be visiting Hagrid's class today so you can meet him. (But it is a secret so don't tell Hagrid xD)

Ooh okay. Maybe I'll just edit it so that Jordan would wind up in Hagrid's hut (she can wander when she's reading). Would that be fine?

Jordan could run into Draven if you would like to meet the Deputy Headmaster/Head of Ravenclaw?

Nah don't, your post is great! You can like Ink Blood said run into his character! Also Hagrid's class will take place when most people post, so that everyone had posted their first posts.

Not to sound rude or mean, but the uniform at Hogwarts is a plain black robe. Why is no one in uniform?

All/most of the pictures of Hogwarts uniforms have a plain black robe over a normal-ish school uniform, which kinda makes sense in a modern setting (and it looks nicer). Plus, it's the way the movies present it too.

At least that's my view on it.

I just remembered this. But I also sort of know how to get it right again.

The movies neglected a lot of small details that led to backstory and such. They stopped wearing uniforms in the movie after Goblet of Fire. It bothered me greatly. Anyway, the Muggle is fine, just wear your uniform robes over them please. I know I sound really nitpicky about these small details, and I apologize for that.

I think they still wore uniforms in OoTP movie too, if I remember correctly. And in one of the books Malfoy docked points for someone having an untucked shirt. But yeah there's evidence for both ways.

Ehehehe nice save, Legion :D

They mainly just wore the sweaters and such. They hardly ever wore robes after Goblet of Fire. It always bothered me in the movies when thw adult wizards would perfectly dress themselves as Muggles when in the books they dressed ridiculously when trying to wear Muggle clothing.

Great posts so far, but yeah, this is Hogwarts not public school. Shame on you. Wear your uniforms guys.

I think the reason they dressed well in muggle cloths in the movies was to satisfy the larger audience. Since most would find it easier to watch something familiar. But I agree, it did kill the integrity of being faithful to the book. I expected at least one of the three to be in uniform during the Deathly Hallows, even for half the film. Whatever.

@Inkwell Esme looks good, loved the Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes bit, and her bio was well thought of, really painted a good background. Though I'd prefer you made less typical grammar mistakes (there and their) that's all. ACCEPTED!
