Mountains are big places. Personally, I'd prefer it if you didn't interrupt willy-nilly. Having any character, even a boss, barge into someone else's fight unannounced and without OOC permission is just plain bad sportsmanship (and your post seems to imply that you intend to do just that).

You're right. I should have heard that in the tone of your text. My bad.

The boss will be on the mountain, but he's there waiting for someone to come to him. Rather than him going after them.

Even the agents of Tarvin have their own principals.

That's good to know. :) I had no way to know it before, though, and there was no indication of tone in your posts.

Personally, I find that a smiley or two can go a long way to clear up the intended tone in an otherwise ambiguous post.

"How unfortunate" Was the indicator.

That's not a phrasing unique to jokes.

"That guy's sister died the other day." "How unfortunate."

"How unfortunate would it be if the moon fell out of orbit and crashed into the earth?" "Very unfortunate."

"How unfortunate that he wasn't able to pull out of the dive in time and crashed the plane."

As you can see, that phrase alone doesn't really mean anything beyond the fact that something was unfortunate.

We'll see eh. *Evil laugh*Was anyone in particular interested in fighting The Weeper? I'll fight anyone between T2-3 with 4 being my maximum if there's no one else to fight.

I can come out with my alien guy who's going to be in that range. Maybe tomorrow when I get off work I can work on him if nobody else sets up a fight with him first.

We gotta be careful not to let Arthur touch us.

Evvie: "Everyone, charge!!!" *leaps onto Arthur while letting out a battle cry.

Lol, Ug Nug is a little out of place among our higher tiered characters. Though if he can somehow manage to whack Evvie on the head when she's distracted and steal her ring he can become the infamous floating caveman.

If he can do that then more power to him (literally). It would be funny to see them have to engage in a battle of wits. I can't believe I'm saying this but she'd outsmart him.

If he's out of place for higher tiers, I'm making a few lower tiers such as my alien I mentioned. Maybe the other lower tier could end up a good match for him.

I'm actually curious now, because it was brought up previously.

Since the math I saw was: A punch is about 32x lifting weight, would people like to go with that kind of strike force. Or would you rather go with the current 2x lifting weight?

Would you prefer accuracy or simplicity?

Lets have the players decide the force of their punches themselves. The punch force they have now is absurd, but to determine one's true punching force, too many factors need to be taken into account. For example, Gregor and Ido have even strength, but Gregor should be able to punch harder thanks to the additional weight and size of his body. However, Ido has metal bones and tough muscle, which decreases the amount of energy expended on deformation of the arm upon impact, transfering more energy to the opponent's body. Gregor still should pack more power, but Ido's punch will strike as if he had brass kunckles on, so it actualy becomes harder to determine which would have the upper hand, even though their physical strength is even.

The 32x number came from the power in a professional baseball player's swing with a bat, and the assumption that they could lift 250 lbs. Not punching power.

Personally, I'd take the punching power thing out of the tier system entirely, for the same reasons Vordak stated. There's too many factors involved and limiting striking force like that makes clubs, bats, maces, and other blunt weapons pretty much useless.

Evvie is physically strong but wouldn't put her muscles to as good of use in a punch. If we were to go for complicated formulas she could have higher lifting strength to make up for this discrepancy.

Speaking of the caveman sneaking up in her, I'm adding another negative character trait where if she focuses on something she tends to not notice sneak attacks.

Only realizing now that I neglected to put up rules about Summoners.

Once I review the character sheets I'll get that up post haste, I can't believe I forgot that. I even put work into making it more viable for Summoners to be a thing.

Do not pity poor prehistoric Ug nug, for primitive man had to figure things out the hard way. Also, I won't intrude any fights without permission, but I will watch at will! At least, Ug nug will, maybe... It depends on if he figured out how to pay attention yet.

(Consider this an informal request to possibky leap right in)

Intense boredom, the lack of a successful roleplay after 10 or so tries, and influence drawn from the best arena roleplay I've ever been in are my muses.

Cough, that was a compliment, cough.

Also, the summoner's rules are up.

I took into consideration the points that you brought up, and have since removed the standard punch and grip strength under the lifting weight category.
